You obviously was not at the meeting. There was an excellent proposed alternative by the masses and by corbexx, one that would bring with it a posibility of new doctrines and more fights. Inverting the Mass / Distance spawn.
If they were to do this, it would bring in the ability to possibly use kiting ships as a doctrine, fast ships could be used instead of the current slow armour doctrines that dominate hole fights.
This change would also allow combat rolling as a continued valid tactic for small groups to maintain hole control and fight outnumbered.
This proposed alternative was mentioned several times by several people and was met with the majority of people agreeing. This is a fair and honest alternative that has been issued in feedback threads.
Perhaps you should read through some of these threads and / or listen to the townhall before stating we haven't offered valid alternatives... Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

There is good and bad in the patch like many patches. The manufacturing changes are mixed at best. This patch will be viewed in a similar light.
That said...if CCP spent more time on how to generate a better new player retention rate and fixing things that are really broken we might get a better player experience.
Nothing will generate more content or "mix it up" in the game like new players with new ideas and things actually working.
Some of the worst code in the game is the POS code but what does CCP do.....they encourage more of them and let everyone anchor them and make it easier to have one rather than actually fix the code.
All I see from CCP is a continual loop looking for the low hanging fruit to maintain the existing base because they can't generate new players fast enough.
CCP will not change until you stop re-upping your accounts.

Having a town hall and forums does not mean they're automatically going to implement everything people ask for. That's not how anything works. If it did, this game would be unplayable. Forums are for discussion. CCP is discussing the issue, and they happen to disagree with players on this one.
Also, good luck with this 'protest' idea of yours. Not entirely sure what you think it will accomplish, but best of luck regardless.
inb4 "ccp apologist", "ccp alt", "asskisser" or whatever cute little insult you think will make you feel better.
The only safe place in EVE is inside a station. Wormholes are too safe if you can cut off access to them so easily. Adapt or die. Or go back to WoW. Or whatever. You won't be missed. |

You went from discussion on a game change mechanic, to bitching about incursions because someone complained about them in the WH townhall, to making up some half assed ******** theory that lacks grounding in such a way, that it deserves to be filed away with creationism school books... Please, I know its hard sometimes to rub 2 brain cells together and form a cohesive thought, but try.
Now, while I don't really like the current version of the mass based changes, I do see some potential in them, and would like to see what happens after they hit TQ. What I do not agree with is this autistic foolish idea put forth by a known autistic fool. That being said, this forum thread had been a source of great joy, tears and laughs for me, so please continue. Go with Bob, keep Him always in your heart. I'm not understanding why people are thinking rolling a wh is safe now? A good portion of losses in w-space happen while someone is rolling a hole.
And when 9 out of 10 null sec holes we jump through doesnt see the whole system pos/station up or just simply log out, then you can talk about our bearing ways. If the reward was worth the risk as much as you claim, why aren't you living in a wh? I'll tell you why, because most people don't think the reward is high enough. |

Probably more to do with all the downsides... Sure the isk is okay but why put up with living in a pos when most of your kills come from null anyway? I can't remember the last time I saw a big hostile fleet flying through w-space.
I do agree that there isn't enough incentive to live in w-space but more isk isn't the answer. +1 |

Why yes, yes it is. After the editing that made it clearer later.
However the Idea is sound, not to whelp incursion fleets, but for wormhole corporations, to express their anger and disappointment, with the whole direction this is taking the game. Disrupting various aspects of the eve economy is the Ideal expression, particularly as one of our corporations is opening up almost everywhere in new eden every minute, we just need to disrupt as many sections of the game economy as possible.
Whether this happens or not, who can say, but just accepting things, would be a very bad signal to give. There is one EvE. Many people. Many lifestyles. WE are EvE |
