Sara Dawn BIG Fountain Alliance	Posted - 2006.07.29 15:03:00 - [1] Hi, everyone, for a long time now we in BIG have been using this tool internaly and i wanted to release it to the public as some people like to keep track on who has the most skilpoints and more skills in one particular category. So here it is, to use it you only need to upload your xml charsheet, to update just repeat the same procedure. I want to release a diferent (public) version of another tool that automaticly updates this site, as we use it internaly it's a windows app who regularly uploads the chars you have selected to the site, xml's still have to be downloaded by means of EMS or similar. Current Features: - List of characters by skillpoints - List of characters by number of lvl5 skills - Top 10 in a skill category - Full ordered list in every category - 2 Diferent Skill tables/matrixes for comparation - List of ships a char can fly - List of chars that can fly a ship - Show missing skills ( color markings: green you have all the pre requirements and can train right away, yellow you'r missing some pre requirements for it, red are skills not release to the public yet) - Marking on "freshness" of charsheet - Many other small features and many to come EVE Skills Showroom I'm also making this tool available privatly for corporation or alliances based on member number, drop me a evemail so we can discuss it. Hope this tool will help the people who like to compete skillpoints wise, without the huge threads full of replys, and big working keeping track of everyone's skills for the top. So obviously enough people haven't stuck their stats up yet. Move it people! This is a really nice looking system. Interesting times await...

I vote for a sticky.
Janus Ovellian Minmatar	Posted - 2006.07.30 02:51:00 - [7] There could be even more info, for instance: -top 10 number of level 5 skills for each category -top 10 ranks for level 5 skills (per category and global) I know if you wanted to know atm you could go an manually add it up from the rest of the huge amount of data there is (which is lovely btw) but why make it difficult? --- Also... I think my data may have been borked up somewhere during the upload. The ordering of the skills seems slightly erratic and no-one else seems to have suffered from this. It's probably my fault then. Interesting times await...

I've uploaded my xml charsheet a couple of times, and have noticed that 700k of my Science skills are somehow missing. The xml is definitely correct, so maybe EVE Skills is counting something a bit screwy? It's something we've been using for a long time now in BIG and i always wanted to get out but never got arround to do it until now. It was made because managing large corps BIG needed to know who could fly what, and alot of people want skilling advice, whow as the best in something, all of this was hard before. I dont know how techy you are, but here's the way group total skillpoints are calculated, no real room for mistakes, also the values are feeded directly from the xml to the database, no changes are made. select sum(skillpoints) from characters_skills where group_id='270' and character_id='145638804'; Returned: 5155277 My best guess is that they arent somehow syncronized, the xml and charsheet in e-o, could you please check ingame and try to upload it again, maybe the xml is now updated. I mentioned that same thing a couple of posts back actually,but i personally don't really care about that,as pretty much every PvPer has said over and over again,it's not the skill points,it's the game skills that count

Sorry Sara, I overwrote the old one with the new one. I'll keep copies of them in future, and if it happens again I'll email them to you. (I just tried a new xml just now, and it stayed on the -760k level it was on before. Imagine, a third party, independent place, where someone can upload their 'For Sale' character XML, thus allowing potential buyers to view the toon.

Hi, i dont mind, even for people wanting to join corps and the corp requires some sort of minimum skills for something. Atm there's no feature for it, but anyone who wants their char removed can evemail me. Also i'm planing on removing chars that havent updated their skills in say over a month. BIG Sales
