ehm a guy called muttonchops has copy and pasted in his XML to inflate his SP total, wouldnt have knoticed myself cept he has 6.5 mill in learning which is a bit of a givaway, so i expect quite a number of people to have been a little more discreat with there editing
Also the minnie and gal freighters seem to be the wrong way round in the ships section
other than those nickpicks an excelent tool

Sara, this is an awesome tool. I've been really busy this week and just now got around to checking it out. Nice work!
I just uploaded my file...looks like everything took perfectly...smooth as silk.
As you guys can see, I am short a few gunnery and ssc skills. I really can fly an Apoc though 
I'll continue to maintain the Top 20 thread also. Post your totals there if you'd like to be included in the listings

Very nice tool, thank you.
If I may suggest: It seems that the home page takes a long time to load, perhaps because you are querying a database each time.
A standard industry trick is to convert that page to a static HTML page that is generated from your database at specific intervals, or at specific events.
For example, you could generate it every 5 minutes, or have it generated whenever someone uploads their char. This should significantly reduce the load on your server, and make access quick for users.
As well, you could convert the Top 10 lists into small static HTML chunks that are generated the same way, and are server-side included into the home page.
Just a few thoughts.

I uploaded my missile skills. Before deleting it for being unrealistic, please have a look here.
At most, my missile skillpoints was 49.07968685% of my total skillpoints.

I remember looking at a previous screenshot of your char when you still had not trained all of them.
I'm working on the new version of the site, hopefully i can have it ready by the end of tonight, with all the features on the first post of the thread.

but have noticed somthing strange. I should be on the lvl5 skill list at 75 skills but im not even on that table at all ?
I was on it the first time i updated my xml.
Although ive just updated again i have not appeared in that list still. The other lists are correct though.

Sara - have noticed same thing as Slickster - I used to be on this list with 76 skills, have now fallen off it. I also notice one player (Angelsfist) is listed twice - I think your code has gone a bit screwy.

Just a quick note about what Slickster and Grey Area have commented on. I noticed that just after I uploaded my xml the "number of lvl5 skills" list changed radically, there were a whole bunch of people that dropped out suddenly.

I wonder if your (very cool might I add) website will change the way some people train thier skills up, people in the top 10 of a certain skill set may want to stay in that top ten for example :)
2 things that shocked me, a person that has maxed ALL missiles skills (wtf) and the fact that Dr Caymus does not have all learning skills to level 5.
One other thing I'm sure I read somewhere that there is 1 or 2 characters that have more skillpoints than the infamous Doctor but I dont think anyone was able to confirm it.

I didn't want a gallente character to be able to have the most amount of missile skills

It's confirmed that there is such a character, but its identity remains unknown.

I might be mistaken but I think that person might have actually posted on the top 20 page the day before it was taken down to be restarted. Although I could very well be imagining things I'm sure they had ~67mil sp.
If this is the case, and I'm not just cuckoo, they may well repost their total at least in the top 20 thread, if not on this site.

cool script. Interesting what you could pull out of it, most highly decorated Frig/Cruiser/BS pilot. Most decorated Gall/Amarr/Caldari/minnie chars etc.
That angelfists char seems to have two diff charIDs, edited xml sheet maybe? or just screwy ccp?

Oveur did some data mining in February. At that time, there was one character in the database with between 55 and 60 million points. I then had 53 million. There were another 6 characters in the 50 to 55 million range, one of which we knew, Rhyslin, now retired, who then was about a million points behind me. We have yet to see positive identification of any of the other six characters that were above 50 million at that point in time.
Since my focus is on science and industry (I also like engineering and mechanic for energy management and defensive purposes, and I've dabbled in electronics a bit), I've only trained advanced Mem and Int skills to level 5 And, for that matter, I still just have basic (+3) Perception, Willpower and Charisma implants.

it looks like the number of lvl 5 skills list is only displaying the first 100 of the alphabetical list and there number of lvl 5 skills ie no one above F is listed, unlike the total SP colum that is working properly

I'm not particularly confident in my source's credibility regarding the following, but I was told that this particular person was banned (duration unknown to me) shortly after the data mining post for their apparent over-the-top abuse of macros back when module usage gave SP and that this was the source of a tiny speck of griping in the unnamed alliance's private channels/forums, where this source allegedly learned of it with an alt.
I figure that by tossing this rumour out there, it slightly increases the odds of somebody who knows more speaking up.
