Every bit of my being screams that this is a hoax.
On the otherhand, if it is true, this has the potential to seriously change the course of humanity...

Sounds a lot like the EIB incident. Hint: its 99.9999% unlikely to be true. That or its energy inefficient or could never generate enough "free" energy for the entire world.

Well... they *claim* it's over 100% efficient.
Theres that whole second law of thermodynamics getting in the way of that working tho.
They're not clear on whether they're saying that the 2nd law can be broken, or whether they're tapping into some previously unknown source of energy thats somehow never been detected before.
Agreed - it sounds highly implausible and most likely to be a hoax.
Then again, people thought the world was flat...

Yeah, if it's true, they wouldnt be holding the "information" back forcing you enter an email address and wait for it.
They would be spouting the information all over the place, so that it would get out before they were assassinated by mercanaries.

It's either a hoax, or a misguided claim. It will NOT be true. Magnets can't do what they claim they're doing. ________________________________________________

Even if its not a hoax, one of the large oil companies will give the inventor/patent holder a few billion dollars for the patent and a gagging contract, and it'll never been seen again, at least until oil runs out.
I don't doubt its happened before.
...on the other hand using a banana might be a viable alternative.

I could've sworn Science was built on skepticism. One person says something, and another sets out to prove him wrong... and either does or proves him right.
If I remember correctly, there was a time when Earth was flat and the sun revolved around US. I see no reason why it couldn't happen. That's not to say I'm a believer, but... nobody thought man would fly before the Wright brothers. People thought computers would never be used for personal use.
I won't be a nay sayer. I'll root the guys on, and I just won't give a damn if it turns out to be false or un-achievable. --- --- --- ---

Hmm ... where to start.
Maybe there was a time when people thought Earth was flat, but it was at least six thousand years ago. Even the Babylonians knew better than that.
Nobody thought man would fly before the Wright brothers? Man already *WAS* flying before the Wright brothers. You never heard of a Zeppelin? Or George Cayley?
But back to the original point. These guys are claiming that something they're doing, which has already been done countless times before by other people, is producing results which we KNOW it does not. This is on a par with claiming that table salt is actually made from potassium fluoride, not sodium chloride; we don't NEED to check your results. It was all done a long long time ago, and we know you're wrong. ________________________________________________

theres alot of people working on magnet motors, if steon has one they didnt invent or develop it themselves they have just modified existing ideas.
i can think of a dozen different designs of magnet motors, but then again i been reading the same stuff steon has for the last 5 years.
yah they have some kindof permanent magnet motor design, and with the advances in those designs in the last couple years they might have one that works.
so does cyclone magnet motors in australia, perendev.com has been touting a magnet motor for a couple years but no commercial version and no verification of overunity.
theres also many free energy types who take investor money and never produce anything

Wrong on both counts. I'm just a guyu who reads up on science. We've been studying the properties of magnets, electricity and motion in combination with each other for more than two hundred years, and we KNOW this doesn't work. We don't even need to see the details of what they're up to. The experiment as they described it cannot possibly produce the results they're claiming; just like I don't need to see someone roll a six-sided dice to ridicule their claim that they can roll a seven with it.
The law of conservation of energy may yet be broken one day. But it won't be done by these guys, and it won't be done by shifting magnets about in a circle. ________________________________________________

Your descriptions and metaphors are a bit off.
1) It is physically impossible to roll a 7 on a die of only 6 sides. We pick that up. But, saying that you don't need to run the experiments to prove these guys wrong is simply mocking the Scientific Method itself. Therefore, we do not know what can be done because we have yet to run their experiments. That's like saying a "God" doesn't exist because... just because.
Honestly though, I'm very surprised more people simply scauff instead of cheer. If, by chance, they've discovered this... it's monumental. It will change the world in so many ways. But, if they didn't... life goes on as usual. No big deal. Science and the scientific method did what it was supposed to.
Again, though. I'm not saying I believe these guys or that it can happen, but it sure would be nice to have it. So, I'll root for em instead of against em. --- --- --- ---

This has been claimed 1000000 times before.
It has worked zero times.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. When they give the proof, I'll happily believe them.
I'm guessing its just a publicity stunt.

i didn't read any links, but I must say that if you have 2 magnets that want to seperate from one another it takes energy to keep them together, i mean you'd have to be pretty weak to not be able to keep them from seperating, but regardless you are using a tiny bit of energy to keep the said magnets from seperating.
So that means for those magnets to stay in place it's taking energy, now if there was just a way to reverse that, like instead of a magnet having to pass through a coil or whatever if the magnet and the coil could just sit in one place, a "solid state" generator lol.
