Sphynx Stormlord	Posted - 2006.09.08 12:49:00 - [32] It does seem somewhat unbalanced that there are lots of lev 4 courier missions that can be completed in 5-10 min with a frigate or even a shuttle. And they contribute as much towards getting a lev 4 storyline mission as 2+ hour combat missions do.

Yeah. I've now given up running L4 missions with my alt during the week. The M3 isn't rising and the rewards have levelled off. I got an implant thanks to a story line mission but the price on those is tumbling. Trouble is..when I get home from work I don't want to do combat and without courier missions there seems to be nothing else to do. I could mine (both my chars have full mining skills) but with over a bil in Isk what's the point? I might take a look at manufacturing again but I've been there and got the T-shirt. I don't subscribe to the "T1 is dead" mantra but it is a lot of work for relatively little gain. Edit:One thing occurred to me. All this talk of getting rid of insta (I now support that) would guarantee that courier missions would be done afk. There'd just be no point in not doing. Up to L4 is a progression whereas L4 is a profession. With the dragon patch though missions in general (and courier missions especially) are in a worse than sorry state! Actually pretty much inacceptable for a game such as Eve. The diversity (of all missions) is horrible, the scaling for courier missions is more than lacking, the important missions are being farmed for implants as they give em out too easily and they ONLY give implants... The agent offers are a bad joke, all they offer over 15k LP are Implants, Implants and more Implants. The whole PvE section of the game is in a HORRIBLE state now for weeks (even Complexes which are just being camped)...and CCP honestly intends to leave it this way until Kali 2 which is to be expected CHRISTMAS earliest!?! While I respect the work CCP has done in creating such a great game as Eve I just CANNOT understand how they can intend to leave a huge part of the game BROKEN and in a so very sorry state.

I do hope they will find the right balance at some point, when lvl 4's came out they were unbalanced and everybody moved into empire and had a field day, now lvl4's are pretty much nerfed to bits, I am sure the pendulum will swing back at some point again.

The NPC that drops it does not drop anything else, and does not have bounty, it's the "Elite Drone Parasite". This mob was pretty much worthy kill in the past, before the offer table was utterly nerfed. There existed an offer where you could exchange 200 (or 100, don't remembet) of Elite Drone AI's for one CX-2 implant, which sold for 200m+ in the escrow. Now that the offer was removed, there is no CX-2 implants sources left, and the Elite Drone AI items become useless, and Elite Drone Parasite mobs are now not worth killing... So could you please return that offer back into game to fix these issues, or perhaps add bounty/mineral drop to the Paraside drones...

Standing to get the frigate bpc is definitely under 9. I picked mine up, with only 8.96 Minmatar standing. To get the cruiser, is definitely under 9.4 ... I got Vexors with 9.39 Gallente standing. To get the battleship is definitely above 9.39, cos I don't got it yet.
