since CCP even gave gallente a medal despite the fact that that warzone already has been conquered by caldari before it would be somewhat outrageous if amarr/minmatar warzone gets treated differently |

When i was in minnie militia.. and we were 1 system from getting the medal i got pissed that the medal had been removed.. it never became an issue.. cos amarr held firm in Egghelende.
And even though the victory must have been a little flat after Iron Oxide and LNA with friends left Huola, they none the less deserve the medal.
My pirate heart is saying "well done amarr, way to go" and my minmatar soul is crying it self to sleep.
CCP bring back the medal for this achievement. |

never achieved warzone dominance, sooo medal was never being discussed in first place.

I heard some poeple talking about 24IC being renamed to 25th Imperial crusade? May or may not be true, but I still feel a medal is appropriate to show on a person-to-person basis who was responsible for warzone domination! (even if a bunch of farmer scrubs get a medal too, who cares) |

By the former criteria of the gallente medal I would get one, but it almost seems hardly justified. Just weeks before I joined Amarr I was in Huola blue to the RLAX and FEO and a few other minnies shooting at the Amarr. We weren't in the Milita but we only had allies on one side of it so we kinda had sides by default..... I leave them and join my friends in the Amarr mklita and lose a few shops and orbit a few plexes and I get a medal for that? I think it would be much more reasonable to make the criteria someone who got at least 1 lp in the last month before the wartime fell AND has been in the Milita for at least 3 months.
TL;DR: I probably don't deserve a medal but people do and CCP should issue one. |

Your criteria won't work either. Most people that fit your criteria are actually mission runners, that don't give a crap about FW unless it is Tier related for their missions. CCP has already established a criteria when handing gallente the medal. A lot of new corps and members joined militia just recently, many of which, had no idea about a medal. Some of those corps and players have put much more effort for the empress, than most people that fit your criteria. If CCP is to change anything, then perhaps this kind of mechanic:
Mission runners, with not even 1 enemy ship kill and at least X amount of LPs earned inside plexes, should not be allowed to get a medal.
It is not time in the militia that proofs anything, but what you do once you are in it and a 1 day old member can indeed do much more for the war effort than a guy that has been farming LPs in missions for his self-interest for the past 3 years. |

The criteria should be the same as whatever was used for the other militias. I hear the complaints about farmers but it would be too complicated to police.
As far as the GalMil with their claim for a second. I would suggest the real life precedence (British) whereby a bar would be awarded for the second and subsequent awards. In short the first medal would be withdrawn and replaced with a very similar medal but "2" or some other distinguishing mark embedded in the ribbon. Or the German precedence of awarding an extra bit of the medal for each subsequent award eg Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (1) with Oak Leaves (2), Swords (3) and Diamonds (4). |

Knowing this comes from you, safe to say then that we got your support, thanks ! Remember, we held the warzone for a week after capturing it for the first time, and not for a couple of hours, where Gallente still got their glorious medal ;) |

Dude calm down. It hasn't been two weeks. They will probably get around to it. CCP will get you your medal, work permitting. At least you will get a medal. I won't get one because I started playing EvE a month too late to get the first one with Gal Mil and they wont issue a second one. But I'm not that upset because "I was there." |

At this point, two weeks have passed without any actual official mention of the Amarr/Minmatar warzone by CCP. Unlike previous events of grand scale which got pretty quick acknowledgement, this has gone the way of that odd smell that no one wants to bring up.
Medal or not, one CCP employee spending thirty seconds alt-tabbing form a development screen to type out a forum post would not have taken away from their progress towards Proteus. It could have been an entirely non-commital GÇ£Congrats Amarr MilitiaGÇ¥ and never mentioned a yes/no on the medal. That would have at least been something.
Considering that Faction Warfare is driven on internal community and was (at least in the past) something CCP put effort into (twice) to continue to keep alive and thriving, this seems to be a poor PR move. Not only does this send a very clear message to the Amarr players that they are not worth the accolades the Caldari and Gallente players were given, it sends an even clearer message to the Minmatar players. GÇ£Do not bother trying.GÇ¥
FW people know me; normally I try to be constructive and forward moving with what I say. This post does not really follow that, which I apologies for. I have had little enthusiasm to even log in over the last week or so. It is just that this entire situation has me frustrated. EVE OnlineGÇÖs FW is something I spent the last five or so years helping move along.
Over the last year or two, what I have seen is a slow rot spreading through the two militias I have contact with (the Amarr and Militia). Dissatisfaction and apathy have worn down both groups of dedicated players which has heavily damaged the ability for either group to help build up newer players in to dedicated EVE fans. A big part of this comes from the poor response from CCP towards issues brought up by the FW community. This whole issue over the Amarr militias (and the future of a Minmatar militia) warzone medal really is feeling like a final nail in the coffin.
