Medals are not distributed automatically, they need to be made. You can read here:

I remember that Gallente has asked for a medal, and people both from Gallente and even Caldari supported that idea, since Caldari also got theirs years earlier.
Personally, complete FW control is an achievement, a rare one at that. I would not oppose a medal. However, if this would be a frequent thing, then I agree that an additional medal would become worthless, perhaps a "Issued Twice" or something could be added. I don't know.
All I know is if people have the slightest hope to get a medal, then people from all FW areas need to unite here and kindly ask CCP for one, as has happened with Gallente.

My Corp are all waiting for there medal - FW gets no love from you guys in terms of updates, so a medal would be good for this epic achievement.

if you join opposing side militia sure ! but with friendly militias, should be able to keep it for logical reasons :) |

7 years of fighting for some dedicated participants (though not myself), a medal would be a very much appreciated gesture, especially since it has been given to both Caldari and Gallente on their first successes in the same manner! |

Caldari captured and hold all systems many months long, they got one.
Gallente captured and held systems only a couple of hours, they got one (the first time).
Amarr has earned one too. For non-militia members it perhaps is a waste of an idea, but there is a bit of an evil symbolic meaning to it so in this case, a complete must !! |

The GÇ£I want my medalGÇ¥ rallying cry has been something that has kept a lot of the older FW players going and active during the last two years. After the LP change, FW shifted from being a pride driven activity to an income earner. With that change, a large part of the FW player population shifted from combatant to LP farmer. Not all new comers were like this, but many. What kept things rolling forward as a large scale activity was the degree of organization (what could be managed) within the militias, most of which came from these old school players.
Not giving the medal out at this point would be a slap in the face of the Amarr Militia organizer. It would also have long lasting negative effect on the Minmatar Militia. What reason would the Minmatar Militia have to go about putting in the huge amount of effort to wrest control of the warzone? With so many of the older Minmatar players having already left, if not for that little bit of pride bling why would the newer blood go about spending the billions in isk it takes to mount massive campaigns to take home systems.
Considering that taking the last few systems really does not affect LP payout, as more and more of the PvPers of FW leave, the likely hood of this happening again decreases. So basically, the powers that be in CCP have an opportunity to show that the RP/pride intent behind FW in the first place is not completely dead.
That and damn it I want my medal!

We all worked very hard to accomplish total control I think a medal is deserved I mean we putt in some work. I would like to thank Calibrated Chaos for always having fleets open to pub. |

Can't see why they shouldn't get a medal so +1 from me.
Also as Crossi said it would be nice for Gallente bro's to get a medal for their recent domination of FW for a second time, especially for militia members who weren't around the first time it happened. |

it is always motivating to hear support from veteran players, even if they are on the opposite side. Many of us Caldari have also supported you to get a medal, it is always nice to see this happening the other way around too. Let's hope CCP is in a good mood, would for sure be a nice christmas present. |

All active players in Amarr FW should receive recognition for their effort in gaining 100% control of the warzone ( good work everyone !!  ). But they should only be given out to those who put forth an effort to make this acheivment possible, therefor only those who did something within the last few months or so should be applicable, I recall seeing seveal hundrad people in the mititia chat some days and only a small handfull of pilots would answer the call for help. Perhaps, everyone should receive a medal to some degree, but, those whom put in the most hours and the biggest efforts should get a medal that reflects the amount of time and effort put into the capture of the warzone ( for example the amount LP earned over a certain period of time, amount of enemy faction kills, time spent in or amount of complex's captured, time spent in the Amarr milita, and those who FC'd us to victory ). I say this only because it feels like a lot pilots joined us in the end just becuase of the high LP payouts while saying " I want to fight for the Amarr ! ", but these pilots where no wheres to be seen when we were getting T1 and T2 level of payouts...
I strongly feel as though there should be some means of distinguishing between those who were just there at the time from those who made this acheivment possible.
I suggest they offer 3 teirs of medals : One for just being there at the time, something that sats say I may or may not have paticapated or contributed, but i was in the militia at the time, this could be a bronze medal. Another that would show this individual put in some time and effort and was in the Amarr militia for a good while, this would be the silver medal. And lastly a gold medal that would say something like I spent most of my Eve career fighting for the Amarr and these are the pilots that made this happen by putting in the biggest effort and the most work !

Many pilots have made tremendous efforts to achieve victory in serious fights with the enemy. All deserve a legitimate reward for their contribution to the common cause. We stood shoulder to shoulder, defending their systems and fought like lions in enemy systems. Each pilot in our glorious army deserves a medal for his bravery. Everyone who defended their systems. Everyone who conquers the enemy system. Everyone who fought in space. We all deserve their awards at this historic moment. So let the Empire did not forget their heroes. Glory of the Empire! ITS REALLY HARD to get total WZ control. Because how often it happend before ?
Pretty sad that you even take into consideration option that there won't be medal for this.
We enslaved those scoundrels ... i'm sure Jamyl Sarum want to give us nice medal for that. |
