Will you give weeks free of charge because of the server instability and lack of gameplay?
If not, why the **** not?

ok. pokebelly added a fix onto TQ that made the code handle the Ram better on the nodes. this has helped so much it's unreal. the nodes are lot more stable since this fix got in and they do not seem to be using as much Ram.
on another note there was alot of people here at ccp doing petitions yesterday. the goal was to get the queue down to 200 petitions, i just checked and the queue is at abot 800+. so it was a good day for us and more importantly for you.
with the server stability fixes that have gone in, the petition queue will stay really low hopefully and petitions will get answered asap. so everyone is a happy chappy now, except those of us that went out and got blind drink last night and lost the ability to walk in a straight line and now feel like utter crap this morning.

Just some idle curiosity here. When you log in to to Dev/GM kind of stuff, are you just in an EVE client with extra features? You can dock and undock, fly around, engage in combat, et cetera?

Well you probably weren't around then, and thus have no real clue as to what you are talking about...
The new cluster, the RAMSAN, did have a immediate, highly noticable effect on performance.
And what are you basing your bad info on? I've been playing the game since release. It's as laggy as it ever was. None of those improvements had any effect. The reason why is simple. They didn't do the upgrades till the servers were already at their limit. All CCP seems capable of doing is playing catch up.
When the new cluster was rolled out everyone noticed the increase in performance. When the RAMSAN was rolled out everyone noticed the decrease in loading times of, for example the market screen. Anyone here could look back at the threads at the time and see that hardware was universally praised, so the question should be what are you basing your bad info on?
If you really have been playing since release post with your main, otherwise you're just another '!' with no credibility whatsoever...

I just want to say.. that.. there were times I was saying.. why just dont quit..
Reading posts like these made me not do it. Information :D I know now you are really doing all you can to fix all the trouble, I must say it surely is improving lately.
My respect goes out to all of you there working hard to get TQ where it should be, coping with new issues every single time, petition queues exploding, forums cluttering.
Yall are doing one heck of a job, keep it up.. If you do so, you keep me ingame lol!
tbh.. i dont wanna quit eve, it is too darn good!
good job guys ----------------------------------------------

Hey, I would love to pat people on the back here and say "keep up the good work", but it seems to me that TQ server issues are getting worse, not better. I have a couple of peeps Ive been trying to get into this game for a long time now and they finally tried it last week only to experience everything most of us are getting to hate. To the new peeps, it seems this is a terrible game. They get hung on gates. containers wont open and traffic advisories are popping up like zits on a teenager. I used to think it was grand everytime the EVE population grew when reading how new simultaneous user records would be broken, but am now finding those little notes quite repulsive. To me, 5k more peeps just means that much more lag we have to deal with. To make me really ****ed off, I am finding that macro miners arent canned like they should be when petitioned. I petition them and find the same macro miners in system next day. Just more money in CCPs pocket I suppose which I do hope is being used to buy a server that will allow some decent gameplay. This is not a problem that is new. This has been ongoing for weeks now. Enough is enough. Fix this and Ill be happy to pat you on the back and say "keep up the good work".

Don't get complacent, CCP. We're happier that you're slowly but surely fixing what you BROKE (please, let's remember that it was fine before Dragon, but Dragon screwed the pooch), but we won't be entirely happy until the game is running like it was pre-Dragon. I don't care how much you say "The servers are operating with 50% less CPU usage since Dragon!" I don't care what your performance figures say. If they said CPU usage was at 153%, but the game was running smoothly, THAT'S what I'd care about. I doubt anyone here is oohing or ahhhing over the increased performance that isn't translating over into the client side. My personal benchmark is as follows: The problems are fixed when you can have 650 people in Jita on a 28,000 player day with minimal (if any) lag... like PRE-DRAGON!!!!!!

Why would anyone belive what u say ?

bit more news.
we thought that space was fully of crap so valar decided to have a clean around the place. at DT today he moved 650k drones and 142k ships to peoples hangers from space. this hopefully will reduce the ram being used on the nodes quite alot.

Do you mean he moved drones and ships left in space by players to those players' hangars? If so then I want to hug him! Any chance we might see something like this for anchored cans that have been abandoned? Maybe move the one's that haven't been accessed in years? ---

To my memory they rolled dragon because TQ had been experiencing realy bad lag for the past few weeks. What I believe they are saying here is that DRAGON fixed the major lag issiues we where having but as so many times before with software in general the fix has introduced new bugs with similar symptoms. (inow TQ has a new disease but running the same fever)
