For my covetor I called it avarus which means, yknow, greed, in latin. My badger? Muujina, the japanese name of a type of japanese badger. Stuff like that. Nice to see a non whining thread.

It's bad enough that these cheaters are using logon tactics to gank gimped Amarr players by fitting imba EANMs and spamming ECM or crashing nodes with insta bookmarks, now they get to a free ticket to exploit with foreign languages that nobody knows how to read. way to backstab your loyal user base, CCP. No, you can't have my stuff. Oh, and something about the forums or a moderated post. ... Wait, what was it we were talking about? Oh yes, I should probably answer the OP instead of just being a smartass. I name my ships with words beginning with "V". They're all different, so after a certain number of ships it gets pretty hard to stay creative. I'm quite fond of Vivisectionist, my Thrasher.

Smaller ships, usually after characters (Rosewater, Schwarzwald, etc.) Whenever I put together a ganking omen, I name it Frylock. Just seems appropriate.

The Caracal became Strike Eagle,the Merlin is Hornet, Kestrel is a Tomcat, and so on. Battleships on up will be named after proper vessels. Ranger, Enterprise, Nimitz (if I ever fly a carrier), so on. ________________________________________ It's nothing personal. Just business.

For example; my Bestower is called Saxosus which means "full of rocks", my Prophecy is called "Parramoles" which means "bird of ill omen". Since I fly exclusively Amarr ships I would think giving them proper Latin names would only be fitting. (why Gallante ships are named in latin I will never know)

My rookie ship was the Dora, names after the main character from Day Million (if you've read the story you'll remember the name of the love interest...) My early frigates were named after Red vs Blue characters. My Kestrel was "My Dreams Hereafter" - a reference to Tanith Lee's "Vivia" My Caracal had a name but wasn't around long enough to remember. My Ferox was the Destructive Appetite (3 guesses where that came from, first two don't count) renamed "Adapt Or Die" post missile-nerf, renamed Worth Overdoing when I started passive tanking, then its replacement was the Focus (as in "Pay attention! Don't lose ships!") My Nighthawk is the Shub Niggurath because it's black and carries thousands of missiles. Oh yes, my Badger was called Shorty because it was a shortcut to wealth. For my Badger 2 I was reminded of the film City Heat in which Clint Eastwood keeps calling someone Shorty, so my Badger 2 is called Clint. ----- Russell T Davies is my master now.
