Ok, so I sent everyone that posted to this thread at one time or another an IG EVEMail and got several responses.
A couple of responders were eager to participate, but the date didn't work. I proposed the 25th (Friday night), but am flexible to change it to a weekend day the week before or the week after. EVE Mail me your preference.
Another responder suggested that rather than Fudd's or Old Chi, that we go to a bowling alley so that there is more than eating or drinking available as an activity. That makes some sense, so I'll poll the group. EVEMail me your preference.
Other locations are also fine, I just need suggestions. TGIF's, Applebee's, a Twins game, perhaps?

So how are the plans for a get together coming?
Doesn't have to be anything fancy and a little sooner than the end of August might work better for me as that is usually a very busy time for me at work.
A Saturday or Sunday might work better for most people than trying to cram it into a weeknight. Friday night Half the crowd goes out and the other half are too tired to go out.
I'll try that ingame channel and see if anyone is hanging out there.

I'm looking to buy a game card here as well. I'm currently on a demo account, coming back after a long hiatus. I'd like to purchase a game card locally, it's just less work. Are they available locally?

If you have any iskies ingame you can buy Eve time codes from other players on the sell order forum. I'm not sure if the game cards are sold locally, you'd have to call around.
If you can't figure something out before your trial account runs out contact me ingame and we'll get it sorted.

It was merely an observation and an open offer to participate should something actually develop, sorry you took it personally.
I would be willing to organize something, but there is already something (albeit seemingly up in the air atm) in the works. I'm really hoping the August get together works out and if there is anything I can do to help it along let me know, but atm the idea seems to be struggling to stay alive.
I haven't given up, I check to see if there is anyone in the MN-USA channel from time to time and one of these times we're bound to be in there at the same time.
Just another idea... it's summertime, we could always do a BBQ at some park or even someone's backyard for that matter.

So we still meeting on August 25th or not? I'll be watchin' this thread daily, if Able Citizen doesn't respond soon, I say "Old Chicago" at Northtown Mall in Coon Rapids FTW! 8pm August 25th, sound good?

:( I guess we aint doing anything, I was hoping to meet BM and Trevedian! It's funny, I have done missions and flown with BM quite a few times and I never knew he lived in Minnesota! I also want to meet a fellow pirate (Trevedian) But sadly I guess it's not gonna work out.

I live in the Bloomington area (Suburb of Minneapolis). Curious as to why you guys haven't been able to pull off the gathering event?

Just every1 else has been too busy/lazy and I figure its someone elses turn

I apologize to the group for not following through with organizing the August get-together. I had some major personal issues that came up in August that prevented me from doing so.
