I can assure you every contract BDCI ever had was for a client, thanks.
BOB are MC's landlords, now BoB have given MC the nod, either tactily or explicitly and they need an excuse. Anyone who can't see through this shallow pretext probably isn't clever enough to log in anyway
P.S. As to why I quoted your post - The big blue wasnt a contract, were you even in the MC then?

I lol'ed cause it's true. Friendly fire incidents in large alliances are a common thing, and one that can be usually resolved without this amount of smoke and mirrors. I don't believe MC will rush to invade ASCN, but I'm sure some extra hands for defence of Period Basis and Delve won't go astray?
Anyhoo, I'm just looking forward to more fun fights with you guys/gals. No doubt MC will be just as good at teaching me the ways of "teh pvp" as BoB are.

If there was a Hugh with the original post you might have something to say, the standings are set because one of our pilots was attacked. We have a number of entities that happily shoot us and enjoy the same standings that ASCN and AXE do now, we shoot them too.

TBB was a contract, my character wasn't in the MC back then because I was out of game playing some in some fairy world. If you look at my employment history though, you can see that I go back quite a bit with a couple of people in BDCI and thus are more informed than the average alt residing in a non-NPC corp for posting purposes. -

This is exactly what I posted about above... nobody said we're getting into fights with you!!!
It was a setting of standings, that's it. Come to our space or hang out where we're at and expect to be fired upon... No different than if we came to your space. The difference is, we're telling you ahead of time.

Originally by: Weebear To be honest, they shot at a pilot who has probably slaughtered neutrals by the thousand in low sec. I know if I passed Ikvar at a gate the first thing that would cross my mind wasn't whether he was in the MC or not.
That and his Security Status is still -9.9 so might flash red to people anyway.
Lamest excuse for a war ever....
Hi Weebear, long time no see
For the record, I was using my other character Phlax, who has a +1.6 sec status when this happened so there wasn't any sec status/flashy confusion.
Anyway the fact of the matter is this isn't 'omg I got shot at boo hoo', neither are we going to war with ASCN.
THE ONLY THING THIS MEANS IS THAT ASCN HAVE SHOWN THEMSELVES TO BE HOSTILE IN 0.0 AND WE WILL NOW RETURN THAT FAVOUR. THE MC DOES NOT FIRE ON NEUTRALS OTHERWISE WHICH IS WHY THE -10 IS SET SO OUR PILOTS CAN KNOW WHO IS GOING TO DEFINATLEY FIRE ON THEM
k?
Also tbh, who cares if I've pirated before, you don't shoot at supposed friends just becuase one of their pilots is an ex pirate (and tbh I would have killed both the guys who shot at me if I had have been in a suitable ship )

Absolutely facinating read.
Seriously.
MC have set ascn/axe to -10 due to a shooting incident.
MC do not intend to invade ascn/axe space, but raids "may" be made by thier pilots into said space.
MC will shoot ascn/axe on sight.
Will MC be patrolling BoB space I wonder, or staying at home.
This has nothing to do with Bob asking MC to look after things at home whilst they carry the hurt stick to ascn and axe space..........does it?
Given the choice between watching this soap opera unfold or getting freaky with Lexa Doig, IŠll go with watching this unfold...........only cos LexaŠs bodyguards are HUGE mind.

Ack! I am trying to pay attention. The bit that confuses me is "Come to our space". I assume you mean Period Basis, but the content of this thread seems to indicate Delve as well? Regardless, my intent was to indicate that, should our paths cross and we are "expected" to shoot each other, I look forward to it! (In a "ohhhhh pvp fun times" kind of way, not a "Raarghh I despise BoB and MC and everyone else raaarrgghhh" kind of way).

The answer is "no".
For example, I was moving a ship earlier from Period Basis to empire. On the way I met a friendly ASCN fellow who told me "I have been told not to shoot at MC", which attitude I was happy to reciprocate because in this alliance YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHOOT NEUTRALS.
Considering the things that have been going on (see this thread), however, I might have assumed a different attitude, but no need to take the situation any further if there is hope of a diplomatic solution. See, we're not totally trigger-happy? So, I was hardly part of any patrols instituted by .. well, anyone.
However, if we get a contract on ASCN and whether it's orders specify me to patrol a system or to take to the offense, I will be more than happy to do that (if this stupid thing called RL will permit me!). At the moment, I have been given no such orders.

This makes me angry.
The MC were not going to attack ASCN/AXE. The entire "somebody set up us the bomb" from ASCN was complete paranoia. I will honestly tell you that BoB does not want MC crashing the party. Not then, not now.
ASCN/AXE, by setting MC to 0.0 you had effectively made it difficult for you to hire their help to fight BoB, which they would have done. Had it happened, it would have been very exciting. However, the paranoia overcame strategic thought and now we see that the panic in the leadership had trickled down to the membership. By shooting at MC you had made it virtually impossible for them to offer their services to you against BoB.
Now if you still don't see the hole you are digging yourselves into, you had better start looking carefully. Bad decisions have the potential of turning MC hostile against you. The correct response should have been talks, negotiations, some level of reparations. Really, ASCN/AXE, you're already at war with BoB. There's no reason to start a war with MC because of a breakdown in communications.
BoB doesn't want an alliance as big as MC crashing the party, even if we end up fighting on the same side. This was supposed to be BoB vs ASCN/AXE. The fight had barely begun in earnest and now it's already becoming messy.
The statisfaction in war is seing your plans bear fruit. I am angry because your altercations with MC were no plan of ours. This mishap was completely the fault of your paranoia. You should not be creating your own problems apart from plots we make because there is no fun in you losing ground because of things that we had no hand in doing.

Oh momma, Ikvar hurt my eyes with that huge red font.
No matter what you say most of us out here feel this was about to happen no matter what; we also feel that MC has an afinity to BoB. Curious just how many had any doubts about this happening..... Why did it take so long MC ? Would have been a nice turn of events if MC would have sided with ASCN, now taht would have been a surprise. Anyway I am sure that all invoilved were aware of this posibility and calculated it.

I was not gonna touch this thread, but since it`s like 2 months since i shot a neutral hauler in wrong region i thought i might try and hang myself.
We all know that big alliance means a lot of different personalities and skill levels along with different dedication to Industry and PvP.
When flying around a hostile region and there is a corporation or alliance living there that should be avoided or not engaged it might get a few incidents. Now there may be a lot of different reasons that might have caused an incident and i will take my own hauler kill as an example.
I was roaming around Catch were we operated on NBSI and i was flying north from SV5 which after like 2 jumps is in Providence which i never realised and i logged off in some random system at some dead-end constellation. Then i went to bed and woke up 4 hours later dead tired, but needed to shoot something and just this could cause an incident.
The reason of that story is with an alliance big there is absolutely no possibility to control every member 100% from doing stupid things and if they happen deal with them when they occur.
Anyways, MC got us at -10, ok.
If i run into an MC member, have a good time killing me.
The End.
This is my lazy attempt to make an uber-signature, please go away!

I laugh at this as if MC was the first attacked, While I was heading back to my home in impass from a run through the pipe about 1.5 weeks ago, far before any of your pilots get attacked or the standing change, I meet up with a MC fleet in AXE space, one of there pilots tries to warp scramble me. Now I may be blind but attacking someone in their home space or anywhere else is quiet a hostile action and this was before any standing change. Don't try to be the ones acting all righteous as if the causation for your change was not obvious from the start.
Later on that day, we set up a gang to remove you from AXE space but things get settled and all is well (or so it seems) than one of your pilots get attacked and somehow its different and we all get set to -10. Seems like other motives than just getted attacked.

I hope in a years time when someone reads back on this thread they realise one simple fact.
ASCN set us to neutral (meaning KOS) without provocation. MC set ASCN to -ve (our KOS) only after one our pilots was shot at.
End of story.
