Some people just need to step back, take a deep breath, and stop posting such nonsense. MC has set ASCN/AXE to -10. Fine. ASCN/AXE have also done the same in response to an isolated shooting incidents when tensions were high. It's understandable, and in many circumstances prudent. If MC is coming for ASCN/AXE in determined force, I'm sure we will know soon enough. If so, we will fight them too. We aren't the aggressors in Bob's war against us, but we'll damn well fight everyone who wants a piece of us. In the meantime, if ASCN/AXE is in MC territory (which is more than likely for a few of us as were on our way to Delve) we need to be prepared to be shot at by MC. No big deal. This probably could've been handled diplomatically, but relations between MC and ASCN/AXE HC are obviously strained on both sides. Whether bridges are burned or not, it doesn't matter; the situation is what it is. Both MC and ASCN/AXE are huge organizations of people and I'm sure on both sides of the line are pilots chomping to shoot at one another. In ASCN, there are pilots who are just confused about what to do when they see a neutral in what we've declared a NBSI zone (or nearby) to our pilots. They're probably a bit excited when they see a target and don't check who they are before they fire, or what the potential consequences may be. Especially now this has all the elements to escalate, pilots on both sides will be hard to control now that blood is in the water. As an ASCN member I can say we have never been better prepared than now to deal with the consequences of an escalation, but we don't need it while were in the BoB war. Were not afraid of it, but there's no sense goading it on the forums or in local either. Hopefully MC pilots agree and will show some restraint as well. If not, cest la vie. ASCN/AXE was under orders to not shoot MC in BoB or MC space. This was made difficult by them being reduced to 0.0 standings while we are under NBSI in BoB space.Almost the entirety of ASC/AXE didn't fire on MC pilots, and trust me encounters were aplenty in 0.0. The gangs I've been in have deliberately not engaged MC gangs or pilots out of respect for what CYVOK wanted. Unless you want to don a T2 tin foil hat and think that BoB setup ASCN/AXE by using an ASCN alt to attack the MC, then one pilot (maybe two) made a tactical error and engaged the MC. MC responded by announcing that they would proactively defend themselves. MC/ASCN/AXE haven't been the best of friends over the past year and it's sounds as if MC took CYVOK's announcement about them joining the BoB war against ASCN/AXE rather badly. I'm not faulting CYVOK's decision, I don't know what it was based on, just pointing out that MC isn't doing anything ASCN/AXE wouldn't do or has done under similar circumstances. Everyone just needs to relax to enjoy the pew pew and the boom boom. Let this play out without the forums spin and hatred. Too many people in this thread are taking this too personally. There has been more drama, inadequacy driven anonymous insulting, and chest beating than this topic deserves. But then again, at least the forums are interesting again... Now after reading the 10 pages of this thread I only have one question... Does anyone have an aspirin? --Victory needs no explanation, defeat allows none.--

The outpost was intended to be ransomed (in fact, I prefer the term sold), but that was a part of the payment mechanism. It made sense considering the client obviously didn't want it, nor would we take it for ourselves, either.

I think, being bluntly honest, you have not very much of an idea what you are talking about looking at how long you were "in" the rank and file of the MC. And as a BDCI director and person who has dealt with numerous contract requests and clients, I have very good insight into exactly who the clients have been, how much we have been paid by said clients, what the clients want and expect.
