Let the Iteron IV have 4 low slots to close the gab between the IV and V.
I find it strange that an itty I has 1 low slow, itty II has 2 low slots, itty III and IV have 3 low slots and the itty V has 5 low slots. Is there a specific reason for this? It would make more sense if the Iteron IV has 4 low slots imo.
Comments pls.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Also up the iteron 5's cargo capacity bonus a little bit- currently, the ONLY way to move a ship assembly array is to have an iteron 5 WITH 5 local hull cargo expanders- that's a HEFTY 225 million isk (at base 45 mill per expander)

Btw, why do Indies have such high CPU output? Iteron V has 750 cpu, and only 70 grid to go with that... What is the intended fitting for such high CPU? The most demanding mining laser is 150 cpu...
Yeah, I *am* too lazy to seek this info deeper in the forums... :P

My understanding is that there used to be a refining module that industrial ships could fit and no other vessel could use. It's gone now, so "Industrial" ships really don't have anything to do with industry and are purely cargo haulers.
I'd suggest renaming them to "Logistics Ships", except that we already use that name to describe a class of vessel that's got jack squat to do with logistics. C'est la vie.

Kortatu: for "moon scanning" reasons (high tf needed for scan probe launchers), as moon probes are rather big, so you usually want them launched from a hauler.
Kittamaru: The "largest cargo possible" hauler is actually the T2 Amarr one, with a cargo space of over 27k "with best expanders". Second best is T2 Gallente, with a bit under 27k. Then somewhere on top too the Iteron V (around 25k), not sure if it's 3rd largest or only 4th/5th (too lazy to find/calc the other "big" haulers).

Reggie Stoneloader was actually quite right, moon scanning wasnt around when indys where designed. -----

I thought the itty 5 with 5 local hull mods was a bit over 30k m3..? Thanks for the responds m8s, I hope the dev team takes a look at it. :)

Iteron IV has only 3 Low-slots because it's supposed to be the Tech1 of the blockade-breakers (Transport Ship, Viator). Therefore it's faster than the others with a slightly bigger Cargo than the Iteron III.
@ JdJinator: The Iteron V with 5x Local Hull Mod = 24198m¦. Put in 8x Giant Secure Container and you have 31398m¦ .

You can do it with a capital ship, or freighter. But the ity5 with expanders is alot cheaper :).

Freighters can't jetison in space Cap ships are VERY impractical to manuver inside a POS

Tx guys! I'll now not have that bedazzled look anymore when fitting an indy: "what the hell am I not fitting on this ship to still have all this cpu available??..."

The idea behind Iteron IV was; "If You want best T1 hauler of the world, You have to suffer for a month".
