Everyone sign and tell us your experiences here please if they want CCP to delay the upcoming content updates. Instead they shall please get everyone in the dev team on working out the issues. Here a list of current issues by my knowledge (I will add more more to the list as you will report):
1) node deaths everytime you try to engage in slightly larger gangs (>30 people per side) 2) logoff exploit while cloaked on a gate making him/her disappear after a very short amount of time. fix scrambling/dictor bubble and aggression timer. 3) tremendous amounts of lag when the player number is higher than 20,000 4) Refueling strontium while a POS is in reinforced 5) implement something to prevent login traps 6) Fix the lag in front of POSs 7) Find a solution to the amount of lag appearing when a gang releases drones.
Please refrain from flaming this post. It is meant in a CONSTRUCTIVE matter and I'd appreciate if people report further bugs they experienced.

Seriously, have you actually read the dev blogs, heard about the stress tests and all. They have been trying to fix things, some of those fixes come in Kali, so by delaying kali you will be delaying the fixes and creating yet more problems.
FFS, do you think that CCP just sit on their hands all day?.
Also, everyone who has been asking for delays of updates has got them /me points to initial launch date. Why do you think there is no kali now?, maybe they have been testing it for bugs. Also the sisi tetsing hasn't begun yet which must say something, right?.
I've just woken up so excuse the spelling/stuff

If you read the dev blogs you;ll have read that there are several fixes to come in Kali to solve server issues.
Deploying these fixing means code changes and sine Kali1 is close they are waiting for than, like proper software developers.
New hardware is on its way..
Yes lag sucks, yes the game can be unplayable at times.
You just have to suck it up, once kali is deployed on SiSi get as much people on there to stress test it, this is the best way to solve the issue. ------

more ppl with no idea - u see kali as the devs have stated as it stands actually should fix half of those problems so they are trying to push kali thro as it has fixes already there to the issues u are raising. Not all of them but its a vast improvement according to offical say so.
So why not encourage CCP to speed up kali onto SISI and then get youre butts onto SISI and run the log servers test everything file the bug reports so they can fix that then deploy it
S plz kill this lame arzz petition

Im going to respect the post and refrain from the huge ass flame i want to write... so il be nice
Read a dev blog every now and again. They are fixing the problems, its going to take time. EVE always has some issues but they are always overcome in time. Devs reading posts like this every day must get demoralised by them, how about posting something thanking them for the massive amounts of work they are putting in to keep it up and running....
Do you people really think they spend all day sitting on their ass! Learn to have some patience mate

I am certain that there is nothing more exhilerating than a 200 man lag-free fleet fight, utter chaos and gankage everywhere.

NOT signed: Fixing bugs in an old code brunch doesnŠt help a lot when you have a new codebranch ready. E.g. you find a bug in a part of code which is obsolete with kali you gained two weeks "bugfreeness" and have to start over agin after kali release.

I would say, release Kali I because it seems that a lot of fixes are there and then delay the release of Kali II untill the server performance reaches is peak.

exactly... only some of you. I appreciate any effort you put into this. But like people said here before ... this is all taken care of in the new patches etc etc. I am sorry but I hear that since a full year (!). When we had the first engagements of larger proportion vs RA the system was lagging like nuts. (100vs100). When I fought MWA 18 months ago there was a bug in reinforced mode as well. CCP created recon ships which could cloak and put up cynofield and it is still not working for over a year now. The dictor bubble bug is active since the day dictors were brought into the game. My main concern is not what you promise me. I heard alot of promises. I'd like to see results before even more code will be put on the server. Sorry that I misstrust nicely written devblogs or announcements but my trust into CCP took serious damage in the past year (I am playing since 3 years) and I'd rather give you guys time to fix it first and ONLY update the content which needs fixing than putting even more unknown content on top of existing bugs. That is my only concern in this case... to make the game playable again backed up by a 99% perfect code with small bugs which only appear occasionally and not on a minutely basis.

/signed especially 2,4. It's impossible now to win any war, and make any conquests. Invulnerable POSes, uncatchable enemies ships, lags.. all this ruin gameplay. And ignoring this problems by GMs just refuel flame of players anger. I think some points of the list are critical bugs but I didn't see any announcement to players from devs or GM's to prohibit such action.

Welcome to Eve-online.
Bugs bugs bugs everywhere but new content comming soon.
OP seems like your problems result in combat engagements...the workaround is simple dont engage in large battles and nodes stay up.
Try smaller groups of ships like 10-15, do more patrols and raids into your foes space.
Fleet battles have always been iffy in Eve-Online. Most times I just got up and got a cup a coffee, to sip on while I kitted out my new ship....

You assume that throwing more programmers at a problem fixes it faster, and thats not a correct assumption. Ask any programmer out there if you dont believe me. Its not like painting a wall you know.

Chucking more programmers at it won;t solve the problem.
As for lag, it'd be interesting to see how fast the original May 2003 code ran on the cluster when compared to Kali. I suspect Kali is faster.
Since we only have rumours of post-kali patches (sometime in 2008, mostly to do with gas giant mining and a few other things). Maybe then CCP could spend 12 months looking at lag, etc.

Given that Kali is supposed to contain major rewrites of code that didn't make it into Dragon, I'd vote for having Kali.
And I'd take exception to your claim of "tremendous amounts of lag when the player number is higher than 20,000". Yes, it's been awful for the last four or five days. Molden Heath has been unplayable. But in the weeks before that, I had good game play even with 25K+ players logged in. There are issues, but they're not blanket performance issues, more like specific bugs that need to be squished.

Implement Kali 1 yes, but delay all the others untill the servers are running more smoothly i'd say.
I'm not sure if this is just the feeling or for real but it seems to me like everytime ccp is planning on deploying a big patch the servers go bezerk before deployment hehehe. Banner will be updated shortly |

The issue would be for every incremental performance improvement there seems to be a new feature adding even more lag, and that's a trend playing out again and again.
Does anyone seriously think adding even more infrastructure stuff like static defenses in solarsystems will help with performance issues? POS are bad enough, but they're at least somewhat avoidable. Adding things like sentry guns at gates and stations will make that a whole lot harder. No doubt it'll fill everyone with joy when they jump into system and get the usual n+1 minute loading freezeup during which some pop-gun of a sentry plinks half their fleet into pods. The CCP track record on being able to add their features list without nuking server performance isn't encouraging, simply put.

Kali will fix some bugs and add more. New h/w will improve performance.
Kali is 6 months late and I want the promised new content (bugs and all). Any further delay will compramise the credability of CCP even more than the China experiment.
They will never get us a bug free system and its no excuse to delay the new content just becuse of some bugs that proberaly affect a small percentage of the game player base. For all we know they are fixed in Kali anyway.

Edited by: Presidente Gallente on 18/10/2006 12:23:56 That's not the professional and efficient path of a development. Kali must be the version with fixes. It doesn't make sense to fix the actual version first when EVE will be updated to Kali 1 in the next weeks, hopefully.
Send the list to CCP in hope they will fix those problems in Kali.
Live strong skilled without bugs'n'lags, haha!

Dear lord where do you lot keep coming from, seriously are you all ALT's of the same person.
Yeah lets delay Kali that will fix everything, unless the fix is coming in Kali, oh wait that might delay the fix?!
And yeah SOME people are working on lag, in the same way SOME people are hiring people and the same way that SOME people are currently making lunch.
Yes that is right differant groups have differant jobs and not all of them can work on the lag. Haven't you ever been told too many cooks spoil the broth..
