Yo,
TQ Moros armour = 37500 hp. Sisi Moros armour = 187500 hp.
That's a 5 x hp boost, and checking the other Cap ships they have a similar bonus (350000 armour on an Avatar, FYI )

Checked the Nag, Thanatos, Hel & Avatar. All 5x more HP's.
The freighters have no hp boost at all, not even by 50%. Bug or intended?

It's not a bad idea, as long as they aren't made any easier to tank.
As it stands now you can drop a dread or carrier with extreme ease, as long as they aren't repping. And a lot of the capital ship deaths that leave people feeling conned and in despair are due to module lag etc, which might get smoothed over a bit if there's more of a buffer there.

Just checked the capital armour rep, and that doesn't rep any more than before, so this is just a buffer rather than greater repping ability.
But it is a hell of a buffer !
Oh, and my head just exploded looking at the rigs that will be going onto cap ships. 15% capacitor recharge rate, 15% capacitor size & 15% armour hp's I think are good places to start.

So, uh, the solution to lag in capital battles is make capital ships 5 times harder to kill? If a superbuffed capital ship ever gets attacked all it has to do is log out and the ship will disappear in 5 minutes no matter the situation.

Agree. If they make this change permanent they need to limit the active number of siege modules in a system to a certain number. Not only would that make it a reasonable change, but it would cut down on the lag as well.

(Edit) Did they change the shield recharge times to reflect this, by the way? If not... I'm getting a Phoenix NOW. 235k shields with Shield Management 5 and still "only" a 12000 recharge with shield systems 5. Not even counting mods. Passive on that thing would be a monstrosity.

they have to fix them... if not the mini carrier will still be the worst one off and i will be forced to sell or train for the gal one

It needs a remote cap rep reduction then it will own and be unique.

so how long will it take for sheilds to recharge now? if your armor tanking? 1 day? or few hours or what   
1 thing everyone is forgeting... FIGHTERS they better get 50% or more boost!!! every other ship will live longer and able to blow the stuffing out of them...
what about gang warfare mods? do they work yet? what about the basic implants giving there 3-5% bonus!! i want all that stuff fixed

They already die super fast. my fighters bassically instapopped another carrier's fighters

there is no way ccp will let the bad carrier bonuses to stand and go live with kali... i just dont think that will happen if it does... i dont know what to say... i mean its so obvious they made the hp changes, and forget this lol... they better make fighter changes too they need 75%+ boost imo every ship now can tank the fighters for a bit, and bs or bc's even cruisers if setup right could tank them easy probably

All it means is that you need 5x the number of people to take down a Dread in a reasonable space of time. Dreads are hard enough to kill as it is, and almost always travel with massive support fleets covering them.
EG: Defending fleets now have to expose themselves to a Dreads support fleet for 10 minutes instead of two to take one down. The best way to break a Dread assault on a POS is to kill the Dreads, since it would be almost impossible to force an engagement and destroy a support before the Dreads are finished and cyno out.

You gotta be kidding me! Dreads in siege are patheticly easy to kill. I can be done with less than 10 battleships. They are called CAPITAL SHIPS for a reason. There is a reason THEY CAN'T USE JUMPGATES.

Exactly the same as now. Well, maybe a bit better with the correct choice of rig.
Dont know for a fact, but I imagine with certian rigs, it should be able to maintain 4-5 capital reps. Just an Average Joe! |

I approve.
You'll have the same amount of sustainable tank, but will be much less likely to just get munched when called primary. This'll mean it's actually worth fielding carrier/dreads on the battlefield, rather than parking them at POSes. Yes, you'll still be able to kill 'em with a few BS, but it'll take long enough that you've got time to react to it.

This is very needed in my opinion... the capital ships don't seem very.... capital. Taking down a dev titan in 5minutes with 1 1/2 dread shouldn't be happening.
Can we confirm that these changes were indeed intended and not some messup?

can anyone check if control towers have more hp or grid or something? curious now because with these changes wouldnt dreads easily take down towers without a scratch, even solo in some cases?

No change to Control tower hit points on test server that i can see.

Maby now the pilots will have the chanse of activating their modules before they die ;)
I`ve been in battles where my side have lost dreads and I`ve been in battles where my side have killed 10 of the enemy dreads. yes they die to easy. This is very velcome welcome.
I asked for 4x back then but seems we got plenty

I don't fly capital ships - and am many months from being able to do so - but I think this is a very good change.
Now you might actually want to field a carrier in with the fleet, as if the enemy decide to call it primary then it will take them quite a while to beat it down.

Just for those who don't think is a good idea, consider this..
Right now, in RMR, Dreads and carriers are 10-15x the cost of Battleships, yet they've only had 5x the amount of hitpoints, if that sometimes.. motherships top out at maybe 8-10x the hitpoints of battleship, yet they cost <gasp> 100 times what a battleship does? And let's not even mention a titan, with maybe 15x what a battleship has but costs how many multiple billions of isk?
This change brings everything in line. If I get a titan, or a mothership stuck, we SHOULD have an epic battle to take it down. I watched a 60 Battleship BoB fleet take down a fully tanked, seige moded Moros one time during a fleet battle in roughly 10 seconds... that should NOT happen, no matter what, ever, not for the kind of money and power these ships are supposed to have.
Awesome change CCP, simply brilliant. This one change alone restores alot of faith I have in your ideas of balancing.
EDIT:
And yes, for those that asked me, the wyvern now has roughly 400,000 shields on the test server with me sitting in it. w00t'n'stuffÖ.
