While you might have a valid point, you stated "As of today I have canceled both of my accounts." which makes you no longer a paying customer so kinda kills your whole argument of being a paying customer...
Step away from the computer, see what they put in Tuesday and then complain if still warranted.

On a more important note, aren't all customers, by definition, paying? Thus proving that persons have simply seen the phrase "paying customer" far too often and choose to re-enact the simplistic and non-engaged mechanism by which social memes proliferate?

While the new wreck feature can be a PITA compared to the old way of doing things, you have to admit that it is more realistic. Sometimes when you blow the carp out of an enemy, nothing useable is left--hence the lowered loot-to-wreck ratio. And although a classification method is sorely needed, blowing up a wreck that contains nothing is very easy to do.
I'll miss turning in a ton of loot after a rat run but I'm sure I'll find another way to make up the ISK deficit.
To OP: Don't be hasty. If you have truly cancelled your accounts the day after a patch, then perhaps a console would be more suited towards your gaming preferences. This is simply how it goes--and you can also be expected to be mercilessly flamed here, duh.
I just cancelled my Wow account, but I didn't bother posting on their forums or anywhere else, because I was well and truly done. I didn't care what anyone in that community thought. Complete indifference. So... Instead of ranting and threatening "I'm canx my acct!", either be constructive and a contributing member of the community that you obviously still have feelings for... or just go away. Either way I bid you fair winds and following seas.

As a paying customer, I get to voice my opinion too. And that opinion is "Quit yer *****ing." If it bothers you THAT much, either stop mission-running and grow some cohones for some PvP, or get the hell out of our game, you little whiner. Wrecks are fine; you check all your cans already, no? Check all the wrecks and do it with a ******* grin on your face, and keep quiet. ---------------------------- Buying Sabres. EVEmail or convo me in game! |

The cans had the same feature, if you didnt grab what was in it because it was useless, you would grow confused to which can you have checked out

Difference being, I could pop cans fast with my drones. Wrecks are a real PITA if you're in a drone boat, since they refuse to attack wrecks.
That said, I think I'll wait on the hotfix before passing judgment.

I don't believe the OP. Nobody quits on patch day. It is more likely that his temper is such that he lost it and put his computer through a wall. Then he saw his brother playing EVE and getting by just fine like everybody else waiting for the patch. This sent him raging again so he put his brothers computer through the wall, and in his rage drove to Kinkos to post this thread because he and his brother now have to quit.
Yeah, that's what happened. ________________________________________________________________________________ "My once immaculate white pants are now stained from the weak and innocent. I don't wear red." |

Has already been stated that wrecks with loot will look different than wrecks without loot soon (next patch or so). Give them a few days, before you come up with stuff like: 'You have ruined the game.' Lol. I haven't really played so far. My first step is to read alle the whines and responses to it, so that I'm prepaired.

I just want to know why CCP didn't see this coming with all the testing on SISI? I dislike the devs more and more as this game evolves.

Hi all,
It is the first day after a major patch, are you stupid?
Things that worked on a small scale(SISI) may not work on TQ.
You must give them time to determine if their ideas are workable and roll back or modifiy them.
If you truely cancelled your accounts over this(I doubt it) dont let the door hit you on the way out, I dont want ass prints on my new door.

I have found an AMAZING fix to the 'wreck problem' for all those whining out there so here it is:
1. Fit salvaging module. 2. Scan wreck 3. Salvage kit 4. Sell for a nice fat pile of isk.
Incredible.

yup, wrecks dissapear.
The only thing I have to add is let them be a free for all. I would like to fly around eve scanning wreckages but atm i'd probably be a flying target.
/me is now available for salvaging, will give all loot back and share of salvege materials

Being one of the "Real Paying Customers" I say good day to you sir and your brother and hope you two have fun at whatever simple minded game you chose to "Pay" for. As a "Real Paying Customer" I am thankful that there is always a considerable amount of effort in providing new content and appealing to the masses at no additional cost to myself. It is obvious that a game of this complexity and diverse magnitude is beyond your comprehension and thus would limit your enjoyment due to the fact that you cannot adapt to change or capitalize on new opportunities. Again, I wish you luck in finding new strategies and challenges in your new "Pong" gaming console and perhaps one day you may aspire to PS One. Veni, vidi, vici |

Actually the real issue with wrecks are that they are becoming the new lag bomb.
It isn't just missions. People ratting in belts and miners are popping hundreds of rats every hour. In the past those rats produced easily cleared cans. Now every rat produces a wreck.
Unless those miners/ratters fit salvaging mods wrecks are going to start building up. Unlike cans that disappear when looted the wrecks remain.
I suspect that soon we'll have 0.0 and low sec ratters complaining about being unable to identify the spawn they just popped from the sea of wrecks.
Also, once CCP gets all of the scanners and probes properly seeded, hanging around in Low sec or 0.0 to salvage wrecks - which is chance based and takes time - will be risky so many people will won't hang around to clean up the mess.
I am sure that CCP will scramble to fix this problem but there are far more problems with wrecks than just mission runners being unable to quickly grab their loot.
In times of doubt I ask myself "What would BoB do?", and then do the opposite. |
