3 medslots for basically disabling a ship is a pretty good trade IMO.
ECM is more powerful, yes, but that IMO more an argument that ECM is too strong than damperners too weak. And, as said, tracking disruptors have just the same "problem". Identical diminishing returns as dampers.

It's closer to 10% actually.
damps have always been very powerful in a 1vs1. They weren't used because 3 damps on one target can shut him down but 3 ecm used to be able to have 3 opponents jamed / tryint to relock 50% of the time.
Now when rig production becomes a reality there's going to be a lot of i-win setups with damps and a damp rig.

Well to use blasters, you need to fit a MWD. Fitting a MWD gimping your cap, so you fit Injector.
Well everyone else is fitting Injector too. The problem with Blastersetups, is that you cant sustain your cap. Thats the drawback. Never you can sustain your cap. The clock is ticking against you, once you start the fight.
How the hell can blastersetups than work nowadys? Fit no MWD, fit CPR in lows and Cap rechargers in medslots? Or switch guns for HEAVY nos. And that sucks.
Why having all the skillpoints available to kill something, when in fact you need only max tanking skills and good Energy Emission System skill. In fact i cant gank, hence OUTDPS my enemy.
Now tell me, why not swithcing the blasters for AC at all? Your DPS will be much lower, but it doesnt matter anymore. DPS is not of interest, because killing his cap is.

You can't go in hoping that you can kill 5-6 ppl by nossning them. Was pretty doable just after rmr hit and people were not aware of plates.
In the end... poor loka. I have only specs 4 and i can fly amarr t2 battleships as well  You think those 2% make you 4tw?  -------- The BoB model is bad for business. Incidently the BoB model is more suited for a game such as WoW where as the ASCN model more suited for Eve.

Because a raven or tempest can simply fit 6 weapons and get competitively same DPS compared to your 8 weapons, reduce 2 and you lost all the advantage of being a blaster-boat at all.
I'd really like to compare AC-boats to B-boats:
- AC > No cap usage - B > High cap usage
- AC > can shoot out of web range - B > melee range
- AC > Average DPS - B > High DPS
- AC > Very Low PG usage - B > Quite High PG usage
- AC > AC-boats can get in-range quickly due to their higher speed lower mass - B > B-Boats have a flatline in the DPS graph until they finally get in-range
- AC > AC-boats can maintain speed mods due to no-cap-usage wep & tank and dictate range - B > B-Boats have the high mass and cant dictate range nor sustain speed mods due to high-cap-usage
- AC > AC-boats can maintain an active tank since the guns use no cap, not to mention the passive options which are sorta overpowered - B > B-Boat cap is eventually gonna run out and your cap booster maintained arficial tank wont hold forever
- Blasters have higher tracking than ACs but since they are much shorter range the effective tracking is less compared to ACs' falloff tracking.
The only clear advantage B-Boats have over AC-Boats has been underlined. SO since KALI (.. revelations.. whatever) is not about DPS but about sustainability and durability blasters' only advantage is made obsolete.
Was that clear enough for the ppl babbling around this thread senselessly?

A Raven will not be getting 'competitively same DPS' to a Blasterthron (neither will the Tempest) AND it will have bad grid problems fitting 2x heavy nos, just to be clear on that. But I still think the capless weapons are really getting a edge in Kali but I don't know if it's really a bad thing.
ACs and missiles aren't the problem IMO. NOS is the real problem, as frequently stated. Capless weapons + NOS = pwn atm and it needs to be looked at. - - - - - -

Loka's sad test result: Kali made his life impossible to live. It's tragic. Maybe Loka should go out there on TQ and continue to gank people with less than perfect anti-gankmega setups, as he did so often before.

High speed lower mass? Yes 10 to 20m/s is quicker, mass? Mega has IDENTICLE agility to a Tempest.... Blaster ships do not have HIGH MASS so stop making rubbish up!!! If you fit 2x 1600 plates of course you will be less agile than a Pest that fits reps and no plates.
You conviniently miss out that it takes two damage bonuses to get that damage while ships like ooohhhh the Hyperion get a tank bonus, more base HP and can get more peak damage and such....
Your so willing to point out weaknesses but not the strengths so don't accuse others of babbling when you clearly being biased. -------------------------

WTF are you talking about? When was agility ever mentioned? "Lower-mass + higher speed + speed mod > higher-mass + lower speed + speed mod" So the item database is in contradiction with your arguement.. Tempest is faster than mega end of the discussion!
Ofcourse hyperion is gonna get more armor etc, it has half the signature radius of a capital ship, its hit by anything u throw at it.. Minmatar ships have the lowest signature and take less dmg from everything by default.
BTW if you thought NOS is overpowered on non-cap-consumers then try out Neutz and enjoy a whole new world of wtfpwnage!

Agility factor of all ships in there class are the same, since mass and agility give the final agility factor don't be so picky about mass/agility as its the final combination that matters.
I said its faster, not by much so don't make out I didn't say that. You said they have less mass which they clearly don't, so please keep lying that blaster ships are heavier.

While we cannot track for toffee, and a Myrmidon with a TD II can severely **** up your tracking in a thron, even with very little transversal as I MWD away to keep range while webbed.
Myrmidon is the win - And I dont even use nos on mine.
I think tracking rigs and tracking enhancers, or better yet, comps, are going to be more used.
However, the Megathron doesnt have the slots to fit a tracking comp. (Having webber drones is great, but once their popped you basically lose a module.) The 7.5% to tracking per level doesnt seem to deal with the ammo reduction enough, and while the Hyperion has a 5th mid, it doesnt have the tracking bonus.
This leaves us with some problems, if our ammo does less damage, and tracks worse... then when we *do* hit, we dont do enough, and we miss so often.
Alas, I'm sure Tuxford is reading this somewhere... Izo Azlion.
