After reading all... well, a good chunk of this thread, there are a few things I'd like to say (woot -- first time bothering to post on the forums btw)

1) Good for you for feeding your employees CCP. Nice to see a company treating it's workers like humans. Serious points in my book for that.

2) On the topic of all the whining about getting compensated for this DT, while that would be nice there is really only one thing I honestly want out of all this: A devblog or article going into serious detail about what dafuq happened and exactly why there was no rollback option. I feel that is a perfectly reasonable request -- and it gives you, CCP Falcon, something REALLY useful to do in the next few hours until this finally blows over. Instead of sitting here shooting the ****, go interview the techs (that aren't pulling their hair out) and find out just what is wrong and start composing an article methinks.

3) Tell the techs for me: Good luck and godspeed on getting this fixed.

As someone who's pulled 16 hour shifts (said job was the kind you cant really quit doing until you're done). I had to chuckle a bit to these family concerns. I'm sure their family will manage for a few hours, they got cellphones in Iceland too, I would hope so?
Still, unplanned overtime is always a bummer. Hope you can get this sorted and go home soon. Enjoy the pizza!

By the way...after these chain of event have unfolded I have ordered pizza also and I now am also lighting a candle for you ccp people....just remember, a bunch of us right now are paying for that pizza you are eating...so once you are done , get the f**** back to work and fix whatever you did. And don't forget to please reimburse for this time lost...as a side note a lot of us feel as if the chain of changes you are making to this game is counterproductive to the way we like the game to be which is making it in turn harder and harder to decide if I want to resub all my accounts or maybe is time to pull back and have just one...but then I think about all the pizza breaks youll be missing if many of us did that and it saddens my heart. The solution? Don't tell me what kind of food you order with my money and get me the game I pay you to play back up and running ASAP I understand things aren't that simple and some F**** ups cannot be undone so quick...but still, when I log back in there should be something for us to feel like you didn't fornicate us for a full day. And I would watch carefully where you go with the game...its looking less intrsting every day. And these downtimes are not helping your case either.

Hey guys,

As youGÇÖre all aware, Tranquility is still offline after todayGÇÖs scheduled daily downtime.

This is due to an issue with a code deployment today while patching for a few fixes in EVE Online. The issue caused the cluster to fail to start up correctly, and as such, Tranquility is currently unavailable for play for both EVE and DUST.

Our operations and development team are working on this issue as we speak, and weGÇÖre hoping to have Tranquility back online for you guys as soon as possible.

Right now, we donGÇÖt have an ETA for when the cluster will be back online and accepting connections, but weGÇÖll keep you updated in this thread.
