As youGÇÖre all aware, Tranquility is still offline after todayGÇÖs scheduled daily downtime.
This is due to an issue with a code deployment today while patching for a few fixes in EVE Online. The issue caused the cluster to fail to start up correctly, and as such, Tranquility is currently unavailable for play for both EVE and DUST.
Our operations and development team are working on this issue as we speak, and weGÇÖre hoping to have Tranquility back online for you guys as soon as possible.
Right now, we donGÇÖt have an ETA for when the cluster will be back online and accepting connections, but weGÇÖll keep you updated in this thread.

The point wasn't that CCP shouldn't be looking out for the welfare of their employees, or that devs shouldnt have food, it was that if I was the paying customer of a company whose service has been unaccessible for over 6 hours (and I am), what I'd like to see to give me confidence is a detailed explanation of the problem and photos of people WORKING on it (even if they're having pizza at the same time), not pictures of devs hanging around a table having pizza with a game room in the background. Maybe I'm less hipster and my idea of PR is different but not really what I'd post with a mass of pissed off people on the forums.
Otherwise noones expecting people to work like robots. Though robots will likely be replacing us all soon enough.
Oh and a bit more detail on what's going on would be nice, we're not technical morons here, most of us can actually tell between our software and hardware and our frontends and backends (hopefully most people can generally tell between the last two). |
