Margeth Amarr Deviance Inc SMASH Alliance	Posted - 2006.12.07 19:33:00 - [1] Edited by: Margeth on 07/12/2006 19:34:34 Just a little while ago zwerg, of mUfFiN fAcToRy came into Wiskeber in which i was docked in my Vexor, He opened a request for a private conversation and asked for a 1v1, To which i agreed, Since from what i had heard, Pirate coalition was honourable and didn't dishonour 1v1s. I undocked and fought his Thorax at the station and a short while into the fight two other members of mUfFiN fAcToRy, Firewalker220 and Pyrofox came into the system and promptly warped to the station and engaged me with an extra Vagabond and a Hurricane. Needless to say, My Vexor got destroyed. They then proceeded to deny that a 1v1 had been agreed to by saying that there was nothing about it in local. I mean, I wouldn't even dream of asking a -10 outlaw for a 1 vs 1, how stupid is that. Out of interest, most agreed 1 vs 1 against pirates end up in BBQ for pirate as corp m8s warp in FACT I would never put myself in a position willingly that would result in certain death, it's just counter productive to my chosen game style (which is winning by means of killing you) Here in BNK we have one corp rule: 1. If you're known to not keep your word people are less likely to pay your ransoms, it's only natural. Why should anyone believe you when you claim you would stick to the agreement when you do ransom after you failed to do so in a 1v1 agreement? Haven't you already proven your word means nothing after such an event?

Like others say in this thread if PC don't keep to 1 vs 1 and are actually defending people in their alliance that don't then why should anyone ever pay you a ransom again.

And unfair fights with unfair fights? This is why solo PvP is dead in EvE - everyone is so afraid to loose a ship that they'll do anything (blob, loggski, lag+node crash, petition) to avoid it. While CCP seems to be doing their best to screw this game in the end it's the players who have made it what it is. It's a crying shame. I am not afraid to lose a ship in a fight that I start but what you don't get is if some one says in alliance chat that there is a 30 ship blob comming and there are 10 of us we might as well dock and let the storm pass.
