It is rather obvious that the "intended mechanic" was not originally designed to allow for gift remaps, since, some players benefit more than others. It should not work this way and should have been fixed.

If CCP allows this to stack with other remaps and not with fractional remaps its completely unfair as some characters will basically have multiple remaps that other characters will never be able to attain.

I will use it when I want, and then be able to remap back whenever. if it doesn't stack, it is not worth taking.

I will be using my current remap to blitz into a Damnation with all the perks, then I'm gonna remap to something useful (because Charisma isn't). Remaps are by and far the most valuable of the gifts, since you can't buy better attributes no matter how much isk you have (for now). But if you're in the 100m SP club, chances are attributes matter little to you, so I suppose investing in quafe zero, or the CA implants are better choices. Those items are guaranteed to appreciate in value over time. AUR is also a good choice, but as more people accumulate more of it from handouts, the prices of items will go down, since CCP is sure to forget all about updating the NEX store after enough time-abandoning it like many other features which is good enough since no one really cares about it anyway.

My remap was due about a moth and we got one remap as present. That free remap nullified the original remap counter and stated that remap is available now. I petitioned because i truly believed that i had a free remap plus the original, but after remap counter appeared for one year. so this is my story, basically you will get a free remap if you already have one available, it will say that you have 2 remaps. bu if you have no remaps it will say that "remap is available now" and will nullify your original counter, What sucks most that if you have a remap lets say due a week or a month from holiday gift day you aint gona get one free remap it just nullify your counter...

My suggestion is to activate your remap - any of it you'll see ingame first. Yearly given remap will not stack if you have any of it already available. So if noone can say wich remap you granted (XMas gift or yearly gift), better use it. Also if youll get yearly remap first and youll be pretty shure in it, then youll be fine and end up with 2 remaps (as Xmas gift usually stacks with any). Check this thread later for more information from developers.
