drugs and quafe: kinda nice, though i still have the original quafe. i suppose ill go for the boosters
i know this sounds like whining, and maybe it is. however my main point is that in previous years we got something new, something kinda cool the 1st time. now we just get stuff we can already buy, and the value is very very low for a player that is more then a few months old. the 1 thing that actually had high value, because you cant buy it in game, can no longer be chosen. You're seriously complaining that your free gift isn't good enough?
No kidding! Quit crying, do your research, get the gift that sells for the most ISK in your part of the universe, say "Thanks for the free ISK CCP!".
I mean the type of people we have in this world...

"But, I can't really use that, your gift is crap, boo hoo hoo!"

To the other goobers from my prior post, this is my point of view.
1. Players refuse to spend money because "someone might have an advantage with real money over someone who doesn't" (lol like who is going to remap 52x a year on a whim, when in reality might be just as much as 2x a year and probably never again after that) and declare that "you choose and the consequences are your stuck with it a year." CCP caves in and ends PLEX for remap idea.
2. Players gladly accept a free remap and no one complains. They want a freebie, but if the idea of cash is involved...which is like 2 hours of work for 1 plex (or 3 hours work a month for the standard 2x PLEX package) causes you all to rage and foam at the mouth.
Its not the remaps that I care about (yeah, I will take a freebie don't get me wrong and I had no complaints about remapping for cash) but the player reactions that confuse me. So, if you all love the idea of remapping and love CCP/EVE then why the f*ck can't you pony up the cash? Don't like it, don't spend the money (cause you know NeX store is there but we don't have to use it) while still getting your free yearly and the top reason to spend the cash is to save time which in the end is very little time saved out of the year BUT the cost is trivial at best (really, is about $20-50 USD that big of a deal when you spend that much for 2 hours at the theater and end up with stale popcorn, a grease stain on your shirt, and a sour taste in your mouth from a bad flick). |

Please make it so it's a "extra" remap.. Mine is also due to reset the 2nd of February so the gifted one wouldn't really do much for me. It's a nice gift but sadly wont help a lot of us that have remaps set to come up soon. However if it stacked it would help quite a bit as I could slip in some extra skills. |

Just want to point out that the "real" gift might simply be the infrastructure to allow the choice of a gift. Meaning, it should now be trivial for CCP to do multiple-choice gift offers in the future... =)
OTOH, it also means that CCP might be setting up to allow users to purchase "packages" with PLEX in the future as well.
You can tell me what is and isn't true when you pry the tinfoil from my cold, lifeless head.

They're gifts, yes. But look at it from the Marketing standpoint, they're product enhancements to encourage new subscriptions and maintain existing ones.
So it's common sense that they would be interested in knowing the most well received "gifts". |

ok i choose boosters on alt and i am waiting news before i choose with my main.
my main could realy use a remap so that is what i want, if that option remaines closed i choose something else.
i think the ones that are complaining about a free gift should be ashamed of themselves, we got 2 nice implants absoluutly for free and now we get another gift with choice amongst diffrent things. |

just log on to eve account management and click on present. the discussion is about the remap that was in the options before but have been removed. so if you want a remap you may wait till more info if you want one of the other presents just choose it and the 22th you can redeem it |

So I have 1 remap and plan to remap early next year some time for a few months. This "bonus remap" could then remap say mid next year? Just like another remap?

the code now includes 2 types of remaps. the normal type with a 365 day cool-down timer - when u use it it will be 365 days to the next normal remap. and then the bonus remap, which u can use whenever u want without affecting the normal remap cool-down timer.
So, if you have a normal remap comming up in january and select a bonus remap as your christmas gift which i get on december 22, u can use that remap on dec 23 and still get your normal remap available in january. |

So...
I have a remap available now that I want to use asap since there's a bonus one available.
If I use the remap now, and get the bonus remap on the 22nd I can hold off on using it for a while?
How is the bonus remap given, does it just activate straight away and you have to remap then, or does it just add to your available remaps so I can use it six months down the track. |
