ok I just upgraded my launcher and all I get is this invisible outline of the window and cant see anything inside of it,
the old one was working just fine except the annoying this is not the right vesion please get the new version.
so I even uninstalled and removed the cache and ran the new launcher programmer installer and I still just get this invisible window.
what do I do now?

This really isn't clear. Auto-login to me means you will just auto-log in to the game, not your account.
You should clarify this so I'm not pinning my accounts thinking it's doing something. Perhaps pinning an account comes with a pop-up asking them to verify that they want them to be logged in or something. Right now it's redundant and confusing.
The old system worked well.

I have exactly the same problem. However, the problem seems to be provoked by the computer sleeping.
If I exit eve launcher completely and sleep/wake the computer, then restart eve launcher, then everything is fine.
If I leave eve launcher running in the background (as it is supposed to be, right?!) then I have a 100% guaranteed failure rate after returning after the computer went to sleep.
Up until the last update, this was sort-of working. Sleep/wake would cause the annoying red boxes, but a refresh got rid of them. After the most recent change, Sleep/wake causes the red boxes *and* clears the saved accounts.
I have the same problem on both Win7 and WIn10. My network is set to DHCP and IPv6 autoconf. There are a brief few seconds after wakeup when there is no network connectivity. I have been meaning to test the theory that this is involved but have not got around to it yet. |

When I type in credentials for one of my accounts, I want the launcher to give me a list of all my accounts. That's what happened in some previous launcher versions, and apparently, that's what the new Pin option does. However, the launcher says that pinning an account is insecure.
But the term "insecure" is quite vague and I would like to know what it really means. Does it merely mean "if someone hacks one of your accounts and logs in on the same computer they will get access to all your accounts" (I'm fine with that since that's something that's not likely to happen), or it means something more serious, like "this will store your username and password in plain text on this computer" (that's something I might not want)?
Workarounds are not bugfixes.

The first scenario is correct. The launcher stores a refresh token, not the password.
If you suspect someone obtained that token from your machine, you can invalidate it from the account management page, under account activity. It is also invalidated if you change your password.

This is getting quite frustrating, heh. As others have mentioned the saved accounts are getting deleted at random. I had just added back over 20 accounts yesterday and once again today they are all gone. It's been about 6 times now I've had to add them all back.
Is there some kind of dev acknowledgment of this issue? As I see a lot of "solutions" being thrown around but no actual acknowledgment of the issue itself. For now I will stick to using the old 3rd party solution for logins as this just isn't worth the effort. Please do keep us up to date as to when this issue has been resolved. |

Make sure the accounts are pinned, otherwise the launcher will not store them.

Go to Settings, Shared Cache settings, Permissions... (Fix permissions of cache folder)

So.. The launcher isn't showing "offline" status, it just shows online XXX numbers.
Back to guessing when DT is over.
At least the screwups are consistent.

The highest spike I ever encountered on Eve launcer: Thirteen Percent. I could name you more launchers, but they all fall under the same category. Less CPU usage, less memory usage.
- I don't get a notification for a fresh news entry nor anything else. It just sits there and is silent.
- It's not the slowest launcher but definitely also not the fastest. Exefile has always been the fastest, no matter which iteration of the launcher we're talking about.
- The launcher does not provide any faster way of relogging characters so there is no reason to use it speed-wise over the "log-off" function of the eve client.
Other than that, I had not the misfortune of other pilots like endless patching, reinstalling or launcher crashing. |

i thought the launchers was supposed to be a faster way to log in - not if you have to type 9 accounts and 9 passwords every single time you close the launcher it isnt |

The dev version now correctly scales according to your settings on Windows 10, at least. I'm hoping to promote that to the release version in a week or so.

My launcher brings up a black screen with only the close, minimize, and the dropdown on the tittle bar of the launcher Window. Now that we can no longer log in through the .exe file, I have no way to get onto the game and cannot play. CCPlz
I have submitted a support ticket detailing the situation. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, both the entire game and just the launcher, and I have tried the repair tool. All my drivers are up to date and I am running on Windows 7. I also tried to edit environment variables as CCP Snorlax suggested in another thread here on the forums. Nothing has worked and I cannot find any solutions via Google, either. Anyone found a way around this problem?

I just DL'ed the launcher onto my Windows 10 Laptop. I cannot launch or even log into my character because, at the Character Name Screen, once I correctly input my character name, it says that I need to enable cookies on my browser. I looked in Chrome and they are enabled locally and there is no cookie option within the launcher. Could you please advise what is needed to work around this issue?

hightest refresh/fps/input monitor drops to 60 when 2nd account it running (with seperate profile) new launcher shared cache issue?
Is this new because i thought i solved it with seperating the accounts, but with the new launcher shared cache is a thing now?
Reasoning
i know this horrible issue has been a issue in windows since 2012, and there can sometimes be ways around it when the active window is selected for example
im not totally sure because i havent been that active recently but since the new launcher was launched it shares the same cache and it makes seperate accounts for use of multi monitor more difficult
Trouble shooting
for example if im running a 1080p/60 video w/hard ware acceleration on chrome, windows desktop manager drops eve to 60fps ie the lowest refresh monitor.
if i turn h/w accel* off then it does not.
Frame limiting doesnt currently work, internal immediate doesnt work
What am i missing, i believe there must be a workaround
