EVE-MEEP Version 2 The Eve-Online Multiuse Economic Efficiency Planner
Visit the temporary website Here! Eve-meep 1 thread can be found Here.
After a month and a few hundred hours of work, I present the next generation of Eve-Meep!
Eve-Meep is the host for a wide array of tools that provide the vital calculations necessary for any serious industrialist. Everything from mining, to production, back to reprocessing. Eve-meep privides you with the information necessary to maximize your profits over time and streamline your business. Keep track of blueprints, inventories, and use that information to plan out what jobs will happen when and where on the new timeline scheduler. Find out all the resources you need for any amount of jobs with the new Bill of Materials. Calculate how much materials cost by reading market logs, then save the cost of producing items for fture calculations. Share Xml data containing inventories, blueprints, or prices with corp mates or friends. The actual calculators come as plugins that are just dropped into the proper folder, allowing for third party designing of calculators (for a third party tool).
Requires the .Net Framework 2.0 to run
Old Features: -Easy to use -Loads your Characters XML data -Create unlimited files to keep track of blueprints -All numbers displayed with formatting to make it easier to read -All default prices for materials can be edited and the changes will be there everytime you load the program -Import and Export price data to xml files to pass around to your friends -Automaticly reads exported market info and will set default prices for you
New Features: -All calculators are now plugins! Adding new calculators or new version is as easy as putting the dll in the right folder -Create unlimited inventory files to keep track of resources and items
-Bill of materials: after you calculate what you need to produce an item, add it to the Bill of Materials! Add up needed materials from any amount of production jobs, and get a total amount of resources. You can then subtract those materials from any inventory files you have.
-Details of items: Look up items and find out details about them, along with what blueprints need them -Application now resizes properly (however certain plugins may not be perfect)
-Timeline: Putting the P in Eve-MEEP. Keep track of production, research, or copy jobs that may be running, and where. Schedule jobs to run at the first availible date, or any date in the future, assuming its availible (it will check this too!). View jobs over a day, week, month, or year of production! Plan the details of your business! Features still to come here are filters for types of jobs and cumulative data on all jobs over spans of time.
Current Version: 2.1.1.0 Source Code: Comming Soon(tm) ------

EVE-MEEP Plugins
When using plugins, only trust those that you get from the Eve-Meep website. Since everything is open-source, I cannot be held accountable if you get a plugin from somewhere else and it contains a keylogger or trojan. This list of plugins will be updated with all the approved plugins available at the website.
Tech 1 Production Calculator Version 1.0.0 Computes the cost, profit margins, runs till profit of tech 1 blueprints. Computes with skills and Research levels, and also lets you compare your cost to build versus the perfect cost. Uses station standing to accuratly predict production costs at NPC stations.
Multicomponent Calculator Version 1.0.0 Formerly the Tech 2 calculator. Does everything the tech 1 calculator does, but for any blueprint in the game (including tech 1 items). Right click items to look up details.
Mining Calculator Version 1.0.0 Computes Mining numbers, both amount of materials mined and the profit made from selling the raw or refined product. Now is more accurate in letting you pick your ship, and also pick the lasers you use, rather than having to calculate that on your own. Works for NPC stations and POS structures.
POS Fuel Calculator Version 1.0.0 Computes fuel requirements for Player Owned Stations, taking into account the size, race, and online moduals. Calculates cost by Hour, Day, Week, Month. Allows you to also fit a POS.
Reprocessing Calculator Version 1.0.0 Computes the amount of base materials you get from reprocessing items.
Invention Calculator Version 1.0.0 Predicts the percentage of success for invention jobs. ------

Edited by: Salvis Tallan on 20/01/2007 22:22:32 The plans for version 2.2.x.x are already in the works with the last feature that was not ready yet. Also some more timeline tools, like the ability to see all resources needed over a span of time. And all the standard bug fixes. There will always be a full download and the individual plugins, and links for individual plugins will be made avalable shortly. ------

Looks very cool: a few items, suggestions.
Blueprints/inventory. IF you don't have a xml file from version 1, you have to create a blank file to add blueprints, etc...
Capital Ship construction: Component / mineral costs? Is this a plugin that can be created?
Other than that.. you seem to have a very cool program..

Only today was I playing with the previous version, wanting it to do some more things...and heres the new one!
Some questions/suggestions:
Essentially I want to be able to have a single list of my mineral stocks, and then when I take a BP and produce a run, it takes that away from the stock etc. Can it do that? I haven't figured it out if it can...
Is it possible that in the tech1 calculator, it defaults to ONLY show the BPs that you've loaded in the inventory? It annoys me having to search through every BP in the game when I've already spent ages entering my BPs.
It also seems that my skills didn't load through to the Tech1 calculator page, I had to update those myself.. |

Thankfully this is all something the new version has! I'll put the steps here for anyone who is confused.
1. Make an inventory file, under the file->New Inventory->Items, or hit Ctrl+I. 2. Name it whatever you want. 3. On the Inventory tab page, make sure the file is selected, and click the add button. 4. Add in all the items in your inventory. If your confused on an item, click the blue 'i' and the information on that item will come up. Once the item is in the table, right click it to see info on it again. 5. Once you have all your items into the inventory, go to the tech 1 calc or multicomponent. Make something. 6. Click the 'Add to Bill' button. All the needed resources will now be added to your bill of materials. If you want to do multiple blueprints, do them now too (with the bill window still open) and just keep adding them to the bill. 7. On the Bill of Materials window, select the inventory file from the dropdown menu, and click 'Accept Bill'. If your missing any of the components, or dont have enough, they will turn red. If everything is ok, it will be deducted from your inventory!
If you've entered Blueprints into a blueprint inventory file (Ctrl+B to make a new one), click the blue 'i' next to the combobox that lists blueprints on the calculators. It will bring up a window where you can select the blueprint you own that you want to manufacture. It will also fill in all the things like ME, PE, and cost. ------

I think the cursor is jumping because everything you change the text it checks to see if it a number or not, and '2,' is not. Try doing 21 then putting the comma in between. I tried putting a station standing part in (and I have the code for it still) but it was not working properly and didnt quite function properly. I will continue to play round with this and try to get it in for you. ------

Make sure you have a blueprint inventory open (ctrl+b to make a new one), add them in, then in the tech 1 calculator click the blue 'i' next to the combo box. It'll bring up a window where you select the inventory file and blueprint you want to use. I will add an option for loading inventory files on start up. ------

On the left of this website there is a link named 'My Character'. click it, then select your character. From there there is a link at the top of the page with your stats named 'XML Data'. Right click, save-as, then put it somewhere you'll remember (like the evemeep resources folder). When you tell the program to load it (file->load character) it will remember wher eit is an load it every time it starts up.
It occurs to me that I need to write a help file. Either a help menu through the app or something standalone. In the meantime I will continue to answer questions here. ------

Wow, this tool is coming along nicely, congratulations. A few issues, though:
- The MultiComponent Calculator doesn't account for PE of the blueprints (ie, you can change the value, it doesn't change the displayed production time)
- Transport ships production time depends on the "Industrial Construction" skill, but this skill is not listed in the MultiComponent Calculator (and I assume is ignored)
...and a couple suggestions:- Add a choice of assembly line type, to account for POS/outposts specific bonus.
- Add a 'volume' column to the cost calculators in calculators (as seen on the POS Calculator), for those who run production/research etc. in POS, where hauling/volume is an issue.
Great work overall, a potential standard (if the code was to be released).

I remember this one coming up in V1.0 but cant remember if there was a solution to it. When i load a character xml file into eve-meep 2, it still pics one of my other characters name on that account. Although it does load the correct skills.
Also, is it possible to get the characters skills to load as a skill tree like they appear in EVE, rather than one long list of skills.
Apologies if these have been dealt with b4.

I made an alt to test this when I was writing v2 (and get market logs from Jita), and it loads both characters fine. Do you have 3 characters? On another note, it saves characters you have opened during the session so you can easily switch between 2. ------

I seem to have an issue on my Danish Windows though - when importing market prices, it multiplies with 100 which is a bit inconvenient guess it has something to do with the column separator or other international setting.

Ben, the way is to export a market log and import it into the program. Using Tools-> compile feature, and then you can select what method you want.
Deana, maybe it thinks that the .0 at the end of the numbers means something. Does changing the method change the problem? ------

It doesn't make any difference if I import or compile the prices. Are you using the separator settings from the regioinal settings, or are you using a fixed setting where "," is the column separator, and "." is decimal separator? Because Eve uses a fixed setting and not the regional settings, giving a incorrect csv format for us non-uk users

Good question, Ill have to check. Most likly it defaults to the computers settings and ill need to override that. However, when we were having the problem with the default prices giving errors to French, German, and other users, the compile prices option always seemed to fix it even tho it is exported one way and their system was set another way. ------

Edited by: Zatch on 27/01/2007 18:17:08 Edited by: Zatch on 27/01/2007 18:15:40 Although I'm not sure if it works the same in VB.NET as it does in VB6 (I'm using VB6), I know of one particularly quick way of finding your decimal/digit separator symbols without relying on any Windows API functions:
decSep = Format$(0.1, ".") If decSep = "," Then digSep = "." Else digSep = "," End If decSepASCII = Asc(decSep)
Where decSep and digSep are Strings, decSepASCII is an Integer. I used decSepASCII for the key validation process (checking to see if the user pressed the "." key, for example, and then checking if one already exists in the string.) One limitation of course is the fact that it only handles periods/commas, but I have yet to receive any complaints about that.
You don't actually need these for output, only for validating user input keys. The CDbl() function will parse data from files correctly, regardless of the regional settings, and I believe the Format$() function should be able to produce proper output regardless of the regional settings, but I haven't turned to using that yet. ----- MLCalc Creator HW2/EVE Mod Team Leader |

Thanks Mdram, the more I use the mining calc, the more bugs I find with it... very annoying.
Kua: To export your prices file, go to Tools->Prices->Export Prices. This will create an XML file in your resources folder with all the prices (and it will load this file every time the app loads). To import someone else's file, use Tools->Prices->Import Prices.
The buy prices in the reprocessing calculator come from the window at Tools->Prices->Mining, if you want to set them manually. Otherwise there is a way to have eve-meep read exported market logs (Tools->Prices->Compile Prices). Just export the minerals from your region, choose your prefered mathmatical method, and let it run. Remember to export afterwards to make sure it saves.
Yes, there are many strange items and items whos names do not match up perfectly, and I think you might be right on the cloak. ------

False alarm sorry. After checking a few other items that was the exception rather than the rule. For example 'Pimp 350mm Railgun I' comes up with a buy price, as does ' Arbalest' Cruise Launcher I' and '200mm Light 'Jolt' Autocannon I'.
It seems kind of random.

It could be random-ish. When the app is checking for a price on an item, it first checks to see if it is one of the base minerals, if that check fails it may go on to check the currently loaded prices file, and THEN depending on that check failing it defaults over to the base price that is included in the data dump. Its entirely possible that the first check is zero, but instead of sticking with that number it goes further and gets a wrong value. I'll look into this and test it a few different ways. If you keep testing and come upon a pattern let me know! ------

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I believe I found a bug...
In the Tech 2 Calculator... The "Amount of Runs" field ignores the last digit entered. For example... If I enter 100 runs, the calculations are all for 10 runs. If I enter 1234, they'll be for 123.
This is a great program Salvis. I'm new to Eve and this helps take a lot of the guesswork out of developing a indy character...

I am loving the potential of your work, and have made a note to drop some ISK your way in the near future, but my question is this: Is there a file kept in my EVE folder somewhere that shows my BPOs in a way that can be imported so that I don't have to type the name of every single BPO that I own into MEEP?
Regardless, great work. Thank you for doing, and for making it available.

I'll say that I love this product once again!
Few questions:
Is there a file I can edit to edit blueprints? Is there a way that I could make my own blueprints?
The primary reason I'm asking is that the recent change to scan probes, and I'm sure getting the program updated isn't you first priority. If this is possible or was implemented it would enable me to work around it till you get a chance to update the program.
Thanks and keep up the great work! - Jacq Serenity is worth fighting for! |

Thank you for the positive feedback! First, Responses: Malena, I do not believe there is any kind of file like that, altho you could probably get fancy with the logserver. I just dont think it would be worth it. If CCP put in a way to export your assets page, then it would be great (add that to the exporting of wallet data)!
Jacqueline, right now you can only really edit the Tech 1 items. If you use the Tools->Data menus you can edit all the information there, and it will resave it to the data files. I just havent gotten around to making those forms work for any other items besides the basics.
Now for the new stuff: ****Eve-meep Version 2.1.2.1**** New Features: -Timeline now has a selection tool. Click a job to see details about it, or select many jobs and get information on all of them at once. -When multiple production jobs are selected, you can view total requirements. This will help everyone who has many BPs producing 24/7 and need to figure out how many of what minerals are needed for any length of time! Bugfixes: -Fixed bug with changing Mineral and POS Fuel prices -Set the Marketlog compiler to use english-US syntax when reading files, *should* fix issues importing -Fixed issue with eve-meep loading the wrong character name, but correct skills
POS Calculator 1.2.0 -Now will price out your POS for you! As you add modules, it will add their prices to the total cost of the station. Mining Calculator 1.2.0 -Fixed an issue with it not computing based on cargo size. -Upload your Quickfit Setup! When you go to choose your ship, the last option on the list will let you load the Quickfit Xml file of your ship! Now we really can find out things like which Battleship mines the fastest. Also will load and mining upgrades.
The link in this thread, and the full download on the website for the new version contain these plug-ins.
General News:
Number one on my priority list is getting the source code out there. However, problems with the website have been stalling me. I think its been rewritten about 4 times this week. I need to write the pages for it all, but at the very least I will be able to just zip up the code and throw it out there. I would like to be able to set up an SVN of some sort for the host, but I have no idea how. If anyone knows how and can walk me through it, I would greatly appreciate it. This way, everyone who wants to can help me write Eve-Meep's host and make it even better. Plug-ins will be slightly different as anyone can go and make their own. More details about these processes once I finally get the darn pages done. ------

Any trick to getting this to work? I thought all you had to do was change the prices its done.
oh btw, i found an error with the mining upgrades part. If you put on a mining upgrade it lowers your mining yield instead of raising it the first time, if you raise it again it goes back to what it was originally and every time you raise it after that it works properly. To get it to work at level 1 I have to raise it to level 2 and then bring it back down to level 1, that seems to work.

When editing mineral prices, make sure you use the Tools->Prices->Mining form, not the individual calculators. The calcs wont save the prices so in case you want to play around with numbers, you dont lose the saved prices. Thanks for finding the bug too, ill get a fix version out

First of all - Great Program! Many thanks for all the work you have put into this. A Huge Help.
Now the problem
Your solution doesn't seem to work. With one of the recent patches the mineral requirements for probes, at least - I haven't checked anything else yet, changed. I follow your instructions for changing the mineral requirements, hit SAVE and the response: Quote: *If anything is in red text, this will not work! Check over all information before adding.
As I am now locked up, I can not change anything, though I have no idea what I would change.
Help please

That red text comes up when the numbers are not formatted properly. Make sure it either a solid number (123456 insted of 123,456) in the text boxes, or what you have entered is formatted correctly for your regional settings (commas, spaces, decimal points, ect). I will be comming out with a new version with these changes soon[tm], along with some fixes for the currently unworking g15 support. ------

Thx for the fast response. I don't see how that could be the case. I'm highlighting the existing number and replacing it with another number. No decimals or commas or anything.
Maybe there is some none intuitive protocal? Like I have to tab from field to field instead of mouse highlighting?
Going to go mess with it some more.

Just checked, no joy.
Closed and reloaded program.
Pulled up a BP, used only the Tab and the numbers pad until I tabbed over SAVE. Still red.
Tried the non-key pad numbers, still red.
Tried just changing the price of the BP, the first field below the BP name, still red.
Something somewhere is totally hinked.

Correction:
I CAN change the value in the Cost Field. If I only change that value and either press Enter or SAVE, I get the red text warning, but it does in fact save the change.
This still does not work in the mineral fields.

In the data files there are numbers labeled as chance of reverse engineering. In the RMR data, this number was 0 for everything, and it now has a value (usully something like .2 or .4). any tech 2 item with a sister item, such as the wolf and jag, are .2, while everything with only one tech 2 version is .4, like small armor rep. There are other numbers for each item that i have assumed to be the bonus to success when you add them in, but really its alot of educated guesswork. If only ccp would release some formulas for data decrypters, then I could make a fully accurate tool. ------

Currently, when I want to research one of my blueprints for ME (for example), I have to manually figure out when it will start, since I am researching in empire and pretty much every station has a 20+ day queue. So far, I've installed the job, figured out the end date, and essentially calculated the start time give or take a few minutes, and entered that into eve-meep.
It would be very handy if I could select the end time, instead, and have it figure out the start time for me.
Still, Great tool!

Sorry everyone, ive been busy busy working on stuff lately. The next version of eve-meep will contain choosing what kind of location your running the job at suhc as NPC station or lab or array, and it does include all the time AND mineral modifiers. Im also putting a filter in so you can choose to view only certain types of jobs. The one thing im missing is outposts, do they have a time or mineral modifier? Does it depends on the race? I also have some bug fixes for the POS calc to roll out Jin- If it says it will take lets say, 20 days and 6 hours, you can highlight the day number and just use the up arrow 20 times, that way you dont have to add it all yourself first. Icy One - The scheduler is set up so that each row is a different slot, and you can only have one job going per slot. If you want to put another job into another slot, just type a unique name into the field, and meep will make a new line with that name. So, say your at NPC station X doing 2 production runs, name one row X1 and the other X2 or something. You can also put notes into the text field that will be displayed every time you select that job to help keep track.
I think the website is down right now, but it should be back up soon(tm) ------

Also I could not find the following BPOs in the Inventory list to add:
Explosive Dampening Amplifier I Blueprint Heat Dissipation Amplifier I Blueprint Kinetic Deflection Amplifier I Blueprint Magnetic Scattering Amplifier I Blueprint

Running V2.1.2.3 This is a SWEET program!!!! Thank you! You da MAN!
Ok so I tried to add the Multispectral Frequency Probe Blueprint. It adds it in the data so that I can go back and edit it, but it does not appear anywhere where I can use it.
The waste factor is 0.05 on this item rather than 0.1, according to the BPO I just bought (and have not researched) but it rounds up to the 0.1. The writing is fine up until I select "Update" then it becomes red. I checked, and can't find anything wrong with the numbers. So I can't figure out which number is incorrect.
It also adds 2 Morphite to the Base Needed Materials when there in none required.
So... in general what am I doing wrong?
Again this is SO SWEET a program that when I get time I am adding it to my BIO! Thanks!

The mutifrequency Probe is in the program, but CCP calls it just 'Frequency Probe' with no multi. The ability to edit the data was pretty hastily thrown in when I did it, and I will go back through to make it change color properly. Eventually I need to make it more usefull as well by editing more than just the base minerals. So, your not doing anything wrong, so much as its buggy and needs work :) ------

Well, I must not be doing something right...
I checked the CCP BPO vs EveMeep, and EveMeep is light on the quantity of materials used. Edited the EveMeep bpo file, and set it to match what is on the CCP BPO. I click on save new data to files, and then update, and when I go back to the Tech level 1 to look at my numbers for researching the ME/PE it still shows the original numbers. Something is not getting updated... The CCP BPO shows 5 Trit, 17 Pye, 17 Mexa, 3 Iso, 5 Nox, and 2 Mega The Evemeep BPO shows Correct Trit, 16 Pye, 16 Mexa, 3 Iso, 2 Nox, and 1 Mega. THe Mega and the Noxium alone throw off the calculations as to cost of manufacture by almost 3k isk...
So again I ask where am I going wrong... Sorry to be such a PITA!

Each version keeps getting better! Keep up the good work Salvis.
Are you planning on publishing the interface to allow other people to develop plugins? How is information transferred between plugins? Can plugin A modify the right click menu of Plugin B - for instance - A plugin might provide some functionality to do with blueprints and would want information about the currently selected blueprint to work.
A search function that worked with reprocessing that would find items with compression over a certain amount & mineral x over a certain amount that took into account settings from the reprocessing plugin (station facilities, skills, volume, quanity, etc).
An handy extension would also be recursive construction to help manage construction of ships and items.
So for instance - when building the Chimera Cap ship you also need to buy or build the Cap Ship Components. The cap ship components, if built, require a certain number of minerals & BPs. It'd be handy to select the Chimera from the list in Blueprint or the MultiComponent plugin - add the parts to a stock control function (this maybe the bill function you are implementing) - and then from the stock control - right click and either add the item to a purchase schedule or add the BP to the BP list. At which point you can specify if it's a BPO or BPC, the cost, etc). You could modify the stock control to list what parts you have - it would then indicate what you need. Right clicking could bring up an option to add the items to the production scheduler
The current billing goes someway to providing this - but you can't add items to the bill easily.
*edit* I managed to find out how it works. You have create an items inventory with a volume of minerals/items in - select the correct inventory file from add to bill and then the minerals are deducted. Alas it doesn't add the manufactured item to the inventory. It also doesn't save the, now changed, inventory levels on closing. I'm trying now with the scheduler to see what happens - but I suspect it doesn't remove the minerals used from the inventory or add the produced items there either.
It'd be good if you let people have negative minerals and components in the inventory - they can then see where they are. I imagine the flow of work to be:
1) Select something to be manufactured 2) Add the item to the Bill (or stock system). This adds the BP and items needed to the stock system (we are after all manufacturing). 2.1) If the BP is currently in the list of BP's owned - then the appropriate information is listed (cost, ME, PE, etc). Here you'd have the ability to click on the BP and to add the missing materials to the inventory. The display would show an indicator next to the BP if the materials needed for production are in the inventory at the right levels. Any of the items listed as materials - you could click on and modify the stock levels - either by entering an absolute value or a delta value. You would be able to add the BP to production queue and the materials needed would be taken from the inventory and the product and quantity added to the inventory. 2.2) If the BP listed isn't owned - then you'd be able to add it to the BP database as a BPO or BPC.
If the inventory is negative or the item doesn't exist in the inventory (either mineral, material or BP) then it'd be handy to export the information for shopping or posting.

Ellana Githrael, try reloading the app. The data in the plugins is only loaded at the begining, so if thats the only issue then they should update. Of couse, there could be other bugs as well.
Elenit, thank you for the great feedback! Let me take a second to go into the details of the plugins first.
If you can make a windows form, you can make a plugin. The host provides all the data for blueprints, items, asteroids, POS items, etc. in the form of classes organized by hashtables, sorted dictionaries, and unsorted dictionaries. The plugins take whatever data they need from the host through an interface. This means that you dont have to worry about putting data into your plugin, and it is very easy to work with. Plugins cannot modifiy other plugins, however they might be able to modify parts of the host that other plugins use. I am working hard to get all this source out to my site, but if anyone wants to make a plugin now, just drop me an eve-mail.
You have some great ideas for the bill of materials, and its something I am working hard at making user-friendly. I will try to incorperate as many of your ideas as possible, and then release it with all the new location modifiers for the scheduler. As for the components for the construction, that is something I need to work into the component calc for things like capital construction anyways. ------

Hi,
First thanks for the great application, very handy.
I've used the mining section a fair bit and have noticed a couple of bugs. Mainly things not updating until something else changes, but this depends on the order you set it up or if you change your ship.
1. Choosing your ship skill level then bonus per level never updates the total bonus field. You need to enter the bonus then set the skill level.
2. Mining upgrades is quiet funny, if you go to 2 then back down to 1 you actually get better yields? If you change any skill levels on the right it appears to update the totals correct again.
I think I had a problem with the asteroid type not updating correctly but I can't seem to replicate it so it was probably just me.
Source code would be nice, I actually thought it was open source already and was going to fix these bugs to help you out but if you could fix these bugs it would be great.

Finally! It is Done! Eve-MEEP is now Open-Source!!!
The code is setup on an SVN repository, and can be 'checked out' by anyone using whatever SVN client they want. You can also view it through you web browser. Where? Here!! The host is up, the plugin interface is up, and all my plugins are there. The details about submitting your own changes and whatnot are on that page, altho the method for submitting plug-ins will be changing slightly in the future to make it easier.
I have also released the next version of eve-meep, which includes the ability to select the type of location your running a job at to apply time and mineral modifiers. You can also save the bill of materials to a text file. There are more things I think but i cant remember them all.
I hope that everyone who wants to see how the app works will check it out, and I hope that the interest in the program will continue to grow. ------

The Multicomponent Calculator tells me I need 467000 Tritanium, 5000 Mexallon and 3000 Nocxium.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I found this out a few days ago when trying to make Antimatter M, and its definatly a bug. The wierd thing is that both plugins use the same method to calculate the numbers, I just Copied and pasted from one into the other. There are also a few bugs on at least the multicomponent which I am in the process of fixing (and uploading to the SVN, its so awsome to use!) like a wierd double negitive bug for production costs. I think its caused by the good standing code. When I get all this sorted out I'll put new versions of the plug-ins up for download, so if anyone catches any more bugs anywhere please let me know (or you can snag the code and help fix). ------

There seems to be another bug when selecting the station equipment yield in the Mining Calculator.
Example: Processing 15,939 of Hemorphite gives the following Zydrine
@ 30% = 581 @ 35% = 304 @ 50% = 746 @ 75% = 651
Doesn't make much sense to me, CSIRO Confuscious

Those represent the different stations you can use to process the minerals. 30% and 75% are POS structures, while the 50% and 35% are stations. Depending on your skills you will get different reprocessing numbers are each type of station, because it is calculated differently for all of them. ------

Hehe life is funny like that. I definatly encourage you and anyone else who wants to, to help and work on the code.
'Good discount' is a number given in NPC stations when you want to produce a job to reduce the cost per hour of manufacturing. 'Set price' takes the cost to build an item and stores it in the prices.xml file. Then, whenever you need to use that item again as a component or add it to the inventory files, it will take the price for that item instead of making you re-enter it. This is also the way to work around capital ship construction limitations on the calcs.
Right now if you put a percent for sell price it will automaticly calculate the number ( so 110% instead of 1000000 as a sell price) but it does not go the other way. Also, the market log thing is comming, but its a rather big endeavor that is amazing and being carefully built as we speak. ------

Looks like the eve-files guys deleted it for some reason. Good news tho, you already have the files. In the Emmp\Evemeep\v2\EVEMEEPv2 folder there are 2 files named lgLcdLibWrapper.dll and lgLCDNETWrapper.dll. Just copy them in the bin/debug folder and itll work fine. ------

Yes, once I figure out the equations I am going to be releasing new versions of most of the plugins to include this as well as Tool-Tip information I forgot to add originally. Right now, the equation for waste associated with ME is somenumber/(MELevel+1). This is a problem when ME is -1, and also does not return the correct numbers. I also have various bug fixes (like the fact that when you add a job it doesnt keep track of the sell price) and some other things for the timeline to keep track of. ------

Nothing is wrong on your end, it just doesnt work. When I made it, I was expecting to be able to find out the equations for invention. CCP had other ideas. Now, they went and changed the numbers and stats of data interfaces so the data on them in the dump and so that some websites have may or may not be wrong. Eventually I will get around to making the calc actually work properly, but in the meantime I am considering not distributing it with the full download. Sorry. ------

Ouch, this isnt good. If you saved the prices from the menu, it does get saved to a registry file (easy to find, its in an evemeep folder somewhere and a search will bring it up). If you just delete this, Itll revert back to defaults for those material prices and all should be well. ------

I took advantage of the patch down time to bring you:
****Version 2.1.4.1**** Bug Fixes: -Veldspar refine data correctly set to 1000 instead of 1050 trit -Timeline now displays sell price properly -Changed AddNewItem and AddNewBP window into dialogs so they can be accessed by plugins
New Features: -Added more columns to various blueprint windows to give more details -Added Sell and Cost data to timeline to keep track of jobs better -'Add New Item' window converted to dialog so it can be accessed and used by plugins -Program will prompt you to save all unsaved open files prior to closing
Some of those might be carry-overs from 2.1.3.1 but I dont remember. Also...
New Plugin! Inverse Calculator Computes what blueprints you can produce from what minerals you have on hand! This was asked for alot in meep version 1, but the data to support it 'efficiently' wasnt there. Its especially useful now with rigs. What it will do is load up item inventory files or allow you to add items to a table. Make sure your PE skill is correct. Then choose to either use blueprint inventory files or every blueprint in memory to find those you can make. For instance I keep all my rig components in one file, and all my rig blueprints in another. I would load the rig components into the items window, and select my rig blueprint file from the list. When you click start it will (very quickly) look through all the blueprints in the file, compare them against your items, and tell you what blueprints you can produce. Green means you can produce it with what you have, yellow means you are within 5% of having all the parts. This plugin is only compatible with Eve-MEEP version 2.1.4.1 and above. ------

Edited by: Greymalkin Gillion on 21/03/2007 14:49:37 I just heard about the program, downloaded it, tinkered with it and loved it. I did however find something that seems to be a big.
I'm dutch, so the decimal seperator is a comma (,) and thousands seperator is a dot (.). I entered the pricing of minerals according to the Matari Index (7-day) pricing and then created a mineral inventory. All went well, total price is correct etc. Until I try to enter the more expensive mins, like zydrine. I can't enter it in my inventory. I played a little more and discovered why. The price for zydrine I entered is 1624.73. When I enter stock to inventory, the price you see in the input popup is 1.624.73. When I press accept, nothing happens, probably because EVE-MEEP doesn't like the price because it isn't logical. I can't enter prices above 999 ISK, EVE-MEEP will to put a dot (.) thousands seperator and interpret it as an 'illegal' comma seperator. As stated, the program does calculate prices with a dot (.) comma seperator correctly. For instance; 2191100 or trit at 2.40 ISK has a total value of 5.258.640.00. That is the way it is displayed in inventory btw: with a dot (.) both as a decimal seperator and a thousands seperator.
Either I am doing something stupid or EVE-MEEP is getting really confused with the way some countries use seperation symbols in numbers. Hope there is a fix for it. And I hope I explained it in a way you understand my point.

Rows on the timeline represent not just locations, but slots. So you cannot have 2 jobs in the same slot at the same time. The name of the location you enter is actually the name of the slot. I usually go with something like 'A-BCD Large 1' for slot 1 and then slot 2 is 'A-BCD Large 2'. And I just realized I forgot to fix a bug with the timeline not loading jobs if you forget to look at it when the app is run... Sticky notes are useless when they are left hundreds of miles away. Make sure when you load the program to go to the timeline page at least once. I will try to get a fix for this out along with one or two other things quickly (I hate having to put out a new version so soon with only one improvement).
Greymalkin, If you only put in the number like 123456789, does the appication itself put the correct commas(,) and periods(.)? The application has no set regional definition for numbers, but instead uses your computer's settings. So this means that if you enter according to your region it should be correct, but if you enter according to another region you will have problems.

When I enter prices like '8,86', the price turns from black to red and 'apply' does not do anything. I never add thousands seperators myself. I've played around with the regional and language settings and on the 'advanced' tab, I've set the non-Unicode programs to use English (UK). That solved the entire problem.
Another thing I've noticed is in Inventory, I can't change prices. For instance, I can update the amount but I can not edit or add a price after I've entered an item. Does compile price work for the mining / POS fuel items only or also for other items by the way?
And thanks for your quick and clear response. Awesome piece of EVE software, right up there with EVEmon.

I just downloaded EVEMEEP and I'm trying to figure it all out. Starting with the reprocessing calculator I ran into my first problem.
I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong but when I compile the prices, the buy prices update but the sell prices seem to do not. This shows itself in the reprocessing calculator in that the sell prices never update after compiling prices.
I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or it is intentional and I do not understand the full functionality yet...

No, I dont believe sell prices update. You have to do them manually in the tools>prices menus. This will be changing soon(tm) but when I first made it I expected to be revamping the entire system quickly. That ended up not happening and the project stalled, replaced by the evemeep 2 rewrite. Untill I do get to finishing, your stuck with manual changes. Sorry. ------

It would rock for corporations to be able to share the data.

EVE-MEEP auto starts if you have ever had G15 support enabled. The G15 LCD app loads it upon startup. Go into the LCD Control Panel and uncheck the EVE-MEEP box.
Also, not sure if it's been mentioned already, but the T1 calc has a rounding error in it. It rounds down instead of up. The MultiComponent Calc doesn't have this issue.

Thankyou for solving the startup bug. I run the emulator for the keyboard only when I am trying to get it working, but now that I go to start it up, the app does load. I wil also fix the tech 1 bug asap (both plugins use the same methods, so i can just copy/paste). Thank you!
Originally by: matarkhan Would it be possible to use an ODBC backend without too much of a nightmare from a development perspective?
It would rock for corporations to be able to share the data.
Also, I've put together some forums for invention, and we're doing some testing on sisi, and hopefully soon we may have some tentative formulas for you.
I dont know what you mean by the ODBC backend (not much of a server guy). Do you want to be able to share all the xmls and such? Also I am very interested in the invention formulas and I am following at least the thread here. The plugin is almost rewritten for everything but the runs formula and the success chance formula. ------

What font are you using for the G15 application? I have one. The application starts up but I can't read the text on my LCD. I suspect it is a font problem.

First off: EVE-Meep is great and is about to replace my current excel-Sheet, which is quite outdate.
I have only had a quick overview over this thread, sorry if the following error I am about to mention is already known.
Meep Version: Beta 2.1.4.1 Rounding Error on Perfect Material-Level: e.g.: I have researched the "Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I BPO" to ML 24, which is Zerowaste ML. (I recently produced from that BPO, so it is Zerowaste.) EVE-meep shows this BPO as imperfect BPO with waste. My guess is, this error is due to diffrent rounding in EVE and in EVE-Meep.
EVE-Meep hangs when drawing Graphs: At some place you can get EVE-Meep to draw some graphs, most of the time EVE-Meep hangs itself on my System. and i need to restart EVE-Meep.
I can go into deeper detail, on how to reproduce these errors, if you need. Drop me an eve-mail with an email-address where i can send an error-report.
My Personal wishlist for EVE-Meep: -BPO Calculator for ML und PL to determin if it is worth to get to a certain (zerowaste) ML -Pricebuilding from market-export-Files explained, on most items it seems quite useless -Better price management, maybe an own tab for editing prices on a per item base, since a general price overview (edited and defaul values) is missing. -- Ki Shodans Sweat Shop

Im always happy to replace spreadsheets! There is a rounding error in the tech 1 calc, but the multicomponent isnt usually off (and when i do another fix or two to the tech 1 ill release it). CCP rounds down at .5 when everyone else in the world rounds up, but this just results in it telling you to use 1 extra mineral once in a while. I will send you an eve-mail about the graphing thing, because it needs some extra love.
The prices and marketlog handeling are getting a massive upgrade soon(tm), and there will be full explanations, however confusing they may become. I've had making a manual editor for the prices file on my to-do list for some time now, and it will be comming in with the update.
Myrdin Potter: The way I have it set up, its just called fonttype normal
cptgone: Not yet, but we are hoping for more management tools as part of some kali patch, and we will see what cpp gives us. ------

In the mining calculator, the sell price for the raw ore does not save. Also if you change the sell price of the raw ore, the calculations don't update unless you change the price of one of the minerals.
As already noted the sell values for minerals are not compiled from the market. Be nice if it did. Also in the compile options it would be nice to have a way to filter out obviously scam prices. Just drop the values outside a set % of the median.
Would also be nice if the app could compile the buy/sell prices of raw ore as well.
My point of view on this is I want to use it to help me decide what ore to mine and whether to bother refining it or not.

Originally by: Helel Lightbringer I think I've hit a new bug. I just started a new ME research. In the inventory screen I can see my ME end dates within the BP page. However, when I check the schedule screen the jobs don't show anymore. Also, if I bring up the details of the BPOs being researched the action and completion time columns reset.
I just started a new job and this bug happened for this job too.
Also, would it be possible in the inventory panel to get a column for BPOs to track whether the BPO is in the red or black and by how much? I'm tracking my investment v. profit in the notes right now. Seems like it could be more intuitive. ***** "It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." -- Winston Churchill |

Sorry for slow responses, we all know how RL has a nasty habbit of consuming free time. Let me start by saying I have a to-do list about 14 items long and maybe 4 of them are done. I dont really want to release a new version with 4 fixes, then another version with 5 more, etc.
Agathorn: Price stuff needs alot of help and ive been working on its upgrade for a few months now, but its still not done. I can tell you that the ore stuff is included there, along with a manual way of setting prices for all items. The mining calc doesnt incude drones because their output is related to how far from the roid you are, and so all the math would be dependant on that.
Helel: This is caused by the app not loading the saved jobs, but when it closes saving a blank file anyways. I have fixed this and it is comming with everything else(see top). The work around, is to make sure every time u load the program you go to the schedual page. This loads the saved jobs file, and no data will be lost.
I appreciate the patience and feedback from everyone!

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I deleted my old scheduled events and tried starting from scratch figuring I'd shut down EVEMEEP and reload it to test what you said here. I'm not even getting the scheduled events to show right after I re-enter the data.

I realize it has been a bit since I promised an update, but we all know how the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Right now I am working on the overhaul of the prices system, and its one of those times where what you code just doesnt feel right. I am trying to make everything as dynamic as I can based on the xml file, so updating and working with numbers is easier. I also want it to be able to track by region, item, and have buy and sell info. Problem is, untill I finish this the price handling does not work and so I dont feel comfortable releasing the old bugfixes without it. ------

Finally.
****Version 2.2.1.0**** New Features: -PricesDocument now larger and more complex XML -Prices will always export on closing app -Added Region to preferences window to allow users to select what region for prices -Added Preferred math type to use when computing numbers -Compiling prices will do all the selected equations and store them all, rather than just one -Changed handling of skills to allow for group display and much faster handling -Added a way to check for updates through the changelog window !!connects to internet!! -Added tool-tip explanations of math for compiling prices -Also, all plugins have been updated with random things such as: --Tech 1 now shows total minerals needed for cap ships --Inverse calc will show you how many of an item you can produce
I'll take a bit and explain what I did with prices. Before it only saved one price of an item through the calculators/compile feature, and you selected which one. Now it will compute 4 different prices (high, low, mean, median) for both buy and sell. These all get saved to your prices.xml file. Mineral prices that were once saved as settings are now stored through this file. Under the Tools>Preferences window, you choose what region's prices you would like to use, along with your default math type. Plugins that don't specify what type will use the selected default one. This will let you easily switch between prices in different regions. You can manually edit/view these prices by using the Tools>Prices>Edit window.
Plugins now can access these numbers and almost price items for you. They can show you the lowest price of an item for sale in the region, and show what your profit margin is if you use that price too, or whatever the plugin happens to do. Now that the main bulk of the changes are in, I will focus on changing the plugins to utilize it all better. I intend on spending a little more time fine-tuning all this based on your feedback and what I run across.
Also by popular demand is a way to check if there is a new version available. Changelog was renamed to Version Info, and by clicking a button the application reads an xml file on www.eve-meep.com, and then displays most recent version and the changelog for that new version. If a new version is available, you can go to the site and dl it. For those of you who want to check the code, it is available on the site (files changelog.cs and webinterface.cs). I'm thinking about expanding this to check for plugins as well.
More work needs to be done on this to bring its full potential out, and there will be bugs. If you happen to find any, or if you have ideas about improving the system, do not hesitate to let me know! ------

Salvis, Thank you for your contribution to making EVE Tolerable.
I downloaded the Beta via http://www.eve-meep.com/index.php?page=downloads link which took me to: http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/Bome/EVEMEEP_2_2_1_0.zip and tried the same path from this forum link, but could not open it. I received the following Winzip error: "Cannot open file: It does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again. " I have tried several times with same result.
1. On the current version I was attempting to price out a Cerebus for construction using the MultiComponet Calculator. I applied Buy Prices but when I used the "Add to Bill" function, those prices did not transfer to the Bill or show up if you saved the Bill to a TXT file.
possible considerations for the future: 2. Could we get an option to save the Bill in XML (so I can reformat it) and/or make it save the Txt in an Invoice looking form for Print out?
3. How about a option to import prices from a file or the same live sources as EVEMON? such as http://www.phoenix-industries.org/evemonprices.xml and http://www.starvingpoet.net/?page=MMI which also has ICE refine prices? There are 5 options on the EVEMON mineral calc but it is "Primative" compared to your efforts. (works like something from the "Flintsones" cartoon. Pterodactyl with stone hammer and chisel trying to workout the values on a stone tablet)
Thanks again for your time and effort to continually improve EVEMEEP!

Were there really bugs or did you just have problems trying to use it? If there really were errors, I would greatly like to know what they were and how you got them, so that I can fix them.
Also, telling me its useless when I know very well its uses and its purpose (and that it works), doesn't help me to make it useful to You. I coded it so I have the disadvantage of knowing how to use it already, whereas you apparently just got the program. My goal is for You to want to and be able to use it, for You to find it useful. I can only do that if you help me by giving me more details. ------

i believe mono bist is +10 not +5 tric +5 not +10
in certain circumstances going from zero to 1 mining upgrade seems to reduce the amount of ore mined per cycle (oddly random effect this one, sometimes repeatable sometimes not, go figure).
Using 35% refine. using per cycle does not matter how many mining upgrades you put on a ship no more isk is earnt.
does not matter if you have relevant specialist refining skills it does not alter the isk gained from a refine.
Generally adding and subtracting mining upgrades gives all manner of different results dependent on if you have just added or just taken one away (you have to try it to see what i mean) in terms of isk earnt per hour.
a 30percent station seems to give you a higher refine yield than a 35 percent station.
I suspect i am missing something about POS 75% yield as it gives less refine than the 50%, prolly me coz i dont use POS.
those are the buggy areas i have seen.
features missing which make it less than useful, no mining director adjustment available as far as i can see.
Be nicer just to plug in the station refine rate and tax rather than use radio buttons that dont seem to be working.

Ah ok. Most of those are POS related things. 35% and 75% are POS structures, while 30% and 50% are stations. Without going into to much detail, 75% and 30% represent the MAX percent you get from refining, as if you have a 25% or 65% tax at a station. Because of this, you dont see most of the skills affecting those refine rates. So at a 50% station you would see the differnece between 99% and 99.3%, where at a POS the highest you get is 75% no matter what. The bistot if wrong (ill check item db) and the mining upgrades are indeed bugs and I will fix them, but this all brings up the better point that I should go back and label things better or provide better explanation to the tools. I apologize for any confusion. ------

Edited by: Ticondrius on 14/05/2007 17:49:48 I'm using EVE-MEEP 2.2.1.0. It is not correctly calculating my attributes when I loaded my character from xml.
I'm not taking implants into consideration, but it's off by 1 point on everything under 20, and by 2 on anything under 30. GOing on that, I'm assuming you've incorrectly coded the Learning skill modifier. It provides a 2% bonus to all attributes per level, for a total of 10% at level V. being able to see the entire attribute value would be nice too, for example: Memory is base 8. + 9 for Instant Recall V and Eidetic Memory IV. Then, + 10% for Learning V. Result is: Memory is 18.70
Even the less than 1 portion is used for skill training. I guess it's just nice to have it to see, even if EVE MEEP doesn't do skill planning.
Missing the Modulated Deep Core mining laser in the Mining Calculator. It is for mining Mercoxit, but can mine any other ore type, just very slow unless you have crystals.
Some of the fields for prices are too small to handle the multi-billion ISK values that some people work with. The entire app needs to be a touch bigger in general. It feels a bit cramped.
In the T1 Calculator, why do you display decimal places for mineral counts? You can't split a unit of tritanium. This also forces large values out of view as well, then again, MANY fields in this tool are too short.
Can you please implement accellertors? If nothing special, at least the standard copy & paste set.. CTRL-X, C, and V please?
I'd also like to see a Reverse Mining Calculator, which allows you to pick a T1 item and have it tell you what to mine in what quanities in order to get the amount of mienrals needed to build the selected T1 item in the most efficient manner in accordance with your mining and refining skills. I saw this once in a Spreadsheet calculator, but I've long since lost it, and it is highly useful to someone who wants to either mine all or part of the mins needed for a specific item or ship. Also, for those who are insane enough to want to mine a capital ship, you'd need to be able to calculate the components needed AND the mins needed for those components. (Yes, I mined an entire Moros myself once. Yes, I'm also certifiably insane.) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- RABBLE! RABBLERABBLE!! MMORPG: Many Men Online Role Playing Girls |

Thanks for the input Ticondrius. I agree with you on the controls, some are annoyingly small. To that extent I went and threw together an update for the tech 1 calc. Just replace the current file with this one.
Tech 1 Calc
It is re-sizable vertically, and the text boxes will expand to display everything in them. Its a bit slower to load due to everything resizing, but I will mess with that. It has support to display the entire base mineral costs for capitals still, and it should now be easier to see it all. It also has negative ME and PE equations, even though it doesn't need them. Feedback on the improvements is appreciated (GUI is not my strong point).
Thank you for pointing out the learning skill, I will get that fixed for next release of the main app, and I am playing around with a few ideas for the character API stuff in the Dev blog, but who knows if they will get anywhere or be worth it. Also, cut copy and paste are in. ------

Just tried the new version. Some great improvements in there! nicely done.
One thing that I found out though it that in the multicomponent not all materials are displayed and used. Only the first 8 are mentioned and used in the calculations while some BPC use many more materials. These are omitted and thus the calculations can be quite a bit off from EVE reality. When you add it to the bill of material then all materials are added. Example of BPC's that show this behaviour are T2 frigates

Only the first 8 are mentioned and used in the calculations while some BPC use many more materials. These are omitted and thus the calculations can be quite a bit off from EVE reality. When you add it to the bill of material then all materials are added. Example of BPC's that show this behaviour are T2 frigates
The problem is, they are displayed, but below the bottom edge of the application. If you resize it so it goes lower it will show them all. I need to redo it like the new tech 1 plugin above so that it scrolls. ------

Each plugin has a minimum version they can be used on, so make sure your version is later than those. Ill check to make sure that the site plugins are up to date. If all that is correct, let me know and ill see if its on my end. ------

Edited by: Jim Hsu on 01/06/2007 21:43:43 Great tool, totally invaluable. About bugs/features, I'll be brief.
1. People seem to be confused Re. refining options. From Tranquility 6/1/07, POS structures have yields of 35% and 75%, outposts have a BASE yield of 35%, and stations have a BASE yield of 50%. One way to make this clearer is to put frames like so if room permits:
|----POS-------| |----Station---| | o 35% o 75% | | o 35% o 50% | |--------------| |--------------|
PS Don't outposts give base 35% and not 30%? PSS It seems like there are 30%, 35%, and 50% stations. Hm... even more confusing.
2. Please check up on how negative ME and PE are handled by the EVE client. This is relevant after CCP "discovered" invention. Negative ME is more straightforward as the client gives a percentage waste, and I would guess that negative PE works the same way.
3. Graphing changes (Tech1, Multicomponent): a. Multicomponent should support negative ME's; not necessary for Tech1 b. Axes should be manually or automatically scalable somehow - right now it seems like it's taking max() of all components at ME=0.
4. Mining: a. Support for T1 and T2 deep core lasers (non-Strip) b. Ice mining? May need separate plugin.
Thanks for the time you put into this!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. It has been brough to my attention that there are several bugs for the latest version of meep causing some crashes and bad start-ups. I am looking into this (I think I got it..) but my real decision is wether or not to release a fixed version, or wait untill all my updates are done and release that. Since rev 2 is only a few days away I think I might wait.
If it crashes for you after you changed something in the preferences window, the way to fix it is by seaching your HD for a hidden file located usually in C:/documents and settings/user/Windows.... that is named after the exe and version number. This file contains the stored settings for the program, and if you delete it it will revert back to defaults and the app will load again.
Back to coding I go... so much to do in so little time! (BTW the capital plugin is a real pain and I havent gotten a layout that not only I like, but its actually useable. 800 or so controls in one panel looked good, but apparenly you run out of memory pretty quick...) ------

Nice project! I was starting something similar to the invention plugin and stumbled upon this. Great work so far!
How has your work with the API been coming? I'm going to try to tinker with adding some functionality on my own to support API character sheet polling. If I get it working, I'll send you some patches =)
Also, have you considered automating some of the prices by collecting wallet transactions and looking for mineral purchases?

Well, I've got the character sheet API working pretty well with the new version. Give it your standard key, it finds your 3 chars and loads them all for you, along with their pictures. You can then change between them all by clicking on the picture. As for wallet and transactions, I do have major plans for using all of that data, but I am having problems figuring out what needs to be changed. So far it looks like I have to give up the separate inventory files and make a master asset list, but then I need to figure out how I want the GUI to be so that it is easiest for users. Also, I have been getting some help from other players on plugins, which I am very grateful for. Invention Plugin was improved, POS plugin, and the 2 production plugins will finish their improvements once I get the Asset tracking working. I moved all the source code off my local SVN which was a pain to maintain over to SoureForge, but the website has been updated with new links. Check out the new code for character and let me know what you think (obviously nothing is set in stone yet). ------

Edited by: Joshua Lonestar on 04/07/2007 15:29:09 How in the bloody hell do I load my own BPO?
I've had no luck in this so I assume I'm doing something horribly wrong. The steps I follow (Assuming going from a new install of EVE MEEP)
1) Extract to desktop and run proggy 2) Inven tab is empty, File -> New Inven -> Blueprint 3) Save as BPO in resources folder. This will auto load it as BPO.xml on the Inven tab. 4) Tools -> Data -> Add New Blueprint 5) For test purposes I simply name it "test", BP cost of 1 and takes 1 of each mineral type to build. I only shorten this for the example. CHeck "Save new data to files" box. The text field just above the box highlights in red and doesnt save anything, it just "hangs" at this window. If I uncheck the "Save to files" box then click Add the window disappears however the BP "test" doesnt list in the BPO.xml data on the Inven tab. If I go to the Tech 1 Calculator and click the blue arrow to select from my prints it loads the BPO.xml file I created but my BPO "test" isnt listed there either.
I'm thoroughly confused. The program looks like the cats meow, truly. I just cant for the life of my figure out how to add my own BP's into the program. Since I seem to be the only one having this problem I assume its a PEBKAC error but damned if I can figure out what it is.
If I work from the BPO.xml file under the Inventory tab I have a "New" button on the right side. I can click it and get the "NewBPForm" window which allows me to create a new BP with Original/Copy, ME/PE and cost field. If I data fill this and hit Add it will add "test" to the BPO.xml file, however if I then click the new BP "Test" it brrings up and error stating "Unhandled exception has ocurred in your app." Short version pasted below....
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I must say your web page instructions do not appear to be whatĘs in the program. Could you please clarify the adding of your inventory stuff? The add button as per your instructions seems to be missing. See bellow your web site
Q: How do I make EVE-MEEP store all my blueprints? A: There is a page next to the skills page called your Inventory. This page contains a list of all the blueprints you own. Use the 'Add' button to bring up a smaller window to fill out. When you finish, the blueprint will be added to your inventory. Now click 'Save'! EVE-MEEP will save all of your blueprints to an Xml file located in your Resources folder, and automaticly load it on start-up. You can also give the file you others for them to load into their copies of EVE-MEEP.

Joshua, I'm fairly certain part of the method to add new blueprints was not updated when the inventory stuff was changed, resulting in that error. When you add your own BP, it does not add a piece of data and so the inventory tries to get it and its not there. I have just now updated all the code for that feature, and made it work for tech 2 blueprints as well. To get it to load in the plugins, you will need to reboot the app, since they only load their lists at start-up.
Sorry Memno, I havent looked at that FAQ in a while. And once again it will probably be changing so I really will need to update it now. To save the price of a single item, use the Tools->Prices->Edit Prices menu.
Kitsune Foxfire, have you run the app before or is this a first time start-up problem?
The moral of this story... I need to do a lot of work still . Next week when I'm on vacation I see myself sitting on the beach with a drink and my laptop! ------

Edited by: Judas Lonestar on 05/07/2007 20:13:46 Lemme ask this.
The program comes loaded with most, if not all, the blueprints. I have the option of adding my own blueprint list via the Inventory section.
When I load my own blueprints do I also load all the mineral requirements, or does the blueprint I own use the default values from the base blueprint list?
I havent had a chance to try it after your update but after playing with it for a while it seems the program is using the default values from the blueprint list and populates those values into my custom blueprints list then just adjusts the ME/PE/BP price based on user defined values.
Is this how the program is handling blueprints? Or when I load a custom blueprint in the Inventory section should it be asking me for the "whole 9 yards" so to speak where I need to input all minerals required, BP cost, ME/PE, research times, build times etc etc?
It seems like the program is using the default mineral values from the preloaded blueprint list and the Inventory section only defines the blueprint cost, ME and PE. I was under the assumption that the Inventory section would be completely inputted by the user and I think thats one thing that had me so confused.
As it stands now I'm guessing the mineral values come from the default BP list and the BP price, ME and PE are user defined?

For example per EVE MEEP on the Caracal Trit - 307488
Per the BP in game Trit - 338237
I dont know how EVE MEEP handles the BP's but if its a bulk load from the CCP data dump you may want to see if you can get a new dump for the blueprints. I know battleclinic.com had the problem too which can be seen in the thread below

Edited by: Salvis Tallan on 05/07/2007 20:46:19 When you tell the app that you own a blueprint (by going into a blueprint inventory and using the add button there) it stores the base ID of a blueprint(name and/or number), and then stores the ME/PE/etc. When you then want to use a blueprint you own for math in a plugin, the plugin uses the base ID to look up the stored information concerning times, minerals, etc. of the blueprint type, then applies changes based on ME/PE.
When you add a TOTALLY new blueprint into the program, like lets say a bomb blueprint which it doesn't have right now, you specify every piece of information that the program then stores as base information internally (and if you choose it will resave the data files to contain the new bomb bpo). This is done through the Tools>Data>Add new BPO.
I apologize for any confusion coming from this. The only time to use the Tools>Data>Add or Tools>Data>Edit is when something is wrong with the basic information of a blueprint stored in the application.
*edit* the new data dump for rev 2 was promised for this weekend ish. After I get that, I will just need to finish my updates for new version and then it should all work out correctly ------

Ahhh, thanks Salvis.
THATS what had me all confused to hell and back. I thought my Inventory would be considered a "brand new" print and I had to input all values. Now that you've confirmed how it works it makes more sense. Took me a little bit to be sure on that and glad to have it confirmed.
Also glad to hear I wasnt crazy on my mineral requirements and with the CCP data!
Looking forward to the new updates, and very well done Salvis!

Thanks,
Not yet, because the new data dump has not been release AFAIK. This is really good for me becuase it gives me time to finish my work on everything else first, then I can load the new data and just release (takes about 2 minutes to parse the 5 or so files from the data dump into the distro files). ------

Somethings dont seem to add up. 1) to "just refine amount" 25000 (roughly a can) and per cargo hold of 25000 the numbers are WAY diffrent. if I understand this corectly this should be the same amount
2) Step 3 does not update my specific refine skills in a station of 35% yield. also going from 35% to 50% station yeild more than doubles my profit, is this correct?
3) Mining upgrades (step 1) should not effect anything if you are using t2 strip miners i thought
4) Step 3 30%, 35% 50% and 75% station yeilds are not progressive. 30% shows as better than 35%, 50% shows better than 75% ect. I mentioned the 35% and 50% station yeilds not showing your specific refine skills also
here is exactly what I have: 1 - Hulk (ex skill 3) 3% bonus per level 2 - Ark Prime 3- Ark proc 4, station yeild 35%, station standings 10 3 strip miner II's with T2 crystals,
5-5-1-5-5-3 on the skill tree
Forgive me if I am incorrect, long time since I have done the mining thing and trying to remember all this crap

As far as I know mining upgrades do effect strip miner 2s. I would test this out but I am about 60 jumps away from my hulk right now, however I am fairly certain it does. I think you are also getting confused between 30% and 35%. A station is 30%, a POS array is 35%: Link. So the way a POS works, its 35% MAX that you get back, while at a 50% Station it is possible through skills and standings to get 100% back. At a 30% station it is something like 95% or 97%, I forget at the moment. There is much confusion about this, and when I get back around to fixing plugins, I will be making this easier to differentiate (and fixing the bugs, like that just refine thing). Even though the new data dump is out, my latest build is not stable and isnt quite done yet. Some of the new API stuff is great and has alot of potential, so I want to work in a few things rather that just present raw data uselessly. Not to mention changes to various plugins to reflect some rev 2 changes. ------

If you want to insert the Blueprint into your Inventory and use it in the Tech 1 Calculator please to the following: - File -> New Inventory -> Blueprint - Create a new Inventory if you don't have any yet - Meep should now have opened the inventory tab - Use the "New" Button to add Blueprints to your inventory - If you are done adding Blueprints, select File -> Save - Now go to the Tech 1 Calculator and you should be able to select the blueprints from your inventory

Like the crash in the Tech 1 calculator this is an issue that will be fixed in the next release I think.

Roberik, faction control towers have been added to the POS calc for next release (kindly done by another user to whom I owe a thankyou).
There has always been issues with adding and editing the data files, and that really comes down to how badly I just threw those features in very early on. For that I apologize, and early in this rewrite I put the effort in to do them properly. As a test I even went and switched the circuits for armor plates, and it worked nicely. All of those price changes are indeed in, although the inventory system is a bit different. And by a bit I mean alot. This is due to the data given by the API for your transactions.
I would like to thank everyone for their patience so far. It is a lot of work for me to do, but thankfully I have been getting help from other people like Kronnoss. Yesterday, he and I took 3 different items off of my todo list (6 more left, altho 'redo plugins' is only a single item). You can check our progress on sourceforge (or help) if you know how to compile the code, but be warned that it may not be stable. ------

Edited by: Akihito Karasu on 21/07/2007 01:28:05 The utility is a great idea, but I hate say it, but it needs some serious work on it.
Version 2210 is unusable, when I click 'edit prices' I get UNHANDLED EXCEPTION. This also happened in other circumstances in the course of the afternoon.
Both v2210 and 2141: - seem to compile prices oddly, I'm never sure it they are updated as they don't seem to update. - with v2210 you have to compile prices, close the application and reopen it for the prices of newly entered items to work with the MultiComponent Calculator - the MultiComponent Calculator only adjusts the amount of Minerals needed when the number of runs is other than 1. All the other components needed shown are the number needed for ONE unit of production.
A great idea, but so far a waste of several hours trying to get it to work in a useful way. Time better spent working on an Excel spreadsheet.
I hope to see it debugged.

Yes, I also think this tool is a great idea and I must agree the version 2210 is not as bugfree as we wanted it to be. But we are in need of your feedback. Please try the new version when it is available (serious development is currently going on). When the new version is out, please test it and give us your feedback. Before switching to a proprietary excelsheet help us improve the new version... -----

Perhaps I am missing something, but maybe this is a bug.
When I make calculations in Tech1 calculator, and I try to adjust Production Efficiency skills, the output does not change. I believe it should, shouldn't it?
Just something to look into.

Yes, it seems to be a bug. I'll take a look at it this evening. Thanks for reporting.

I started experiencing some strangeness with the component calculators recently myself. Specifically, with Tech 1 trying to look at Capital Armor Plates Blueprint. The Perfect and Adjusted amounts are the same (Perfect rating) and changing the ME makes no difference. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple times, to no avail.
Also, it seems that even when I delete the folder and reinstall, at least some settings stay (i.e. It knew where to find my character data). Is there any way to completely wipe all remnants of EVEMEEP and start over fresh?

Strange, I am changing it now and its working. However I dont know if my data files are more recent, because I remember this issue being brought up before. I might have fixed it a while back and decided to wait till next release. When do the files say they were created and modified?
EVEMEEP saves its settings in the .net way, by hiding an xml file deep into your user folder (C:/Documents and Settings....). If you run a search in there for MEEP or something, and include hidden files and folders itll come up, and just delete it all. ------

I went through and found every EVEMEEP file on my computer, uninstalled EVEMEEP, removed all associated files, re-downloaded and reinstalled. Still the same issue. The data files (C:\Program Files\EVEMEEP\Resources BDataF.dat and RDataF.dat) seem to be from April 8,2007.

Bah, I was afraid of that. Mine are from May 25th. That means at some point I fixed it and said, 'oh the next version will be out soon, no problem'. Uh hu. Anyways, good to know that it is fixed, but I am gonig to stick with waiting untill next update because my to-do list is getting shorter and shorter. Mostly GUI stuff left, and a few plugin things. I will look into making the updater check for newer datafiles, which would make future fixes much easier. Thankyou! ------

I suppose you are using Meep 2.2.1.0? And your problem is in the Tech1 Calculator when you change the "Blueprint Research -> Materials Efficiency" or the "Your Skills -> Production Efficiency" values then the amount of minerals you need doesn't change? I can confirm that error in the version 2.2.1.0. Seems like a bug in this version, which is already fixed and will be gone in the next version.

Yup, 2.2.1.0. Yes, neither of those have an effect, nor does switching between Perfect and Adjusted in the middle left of the window. The funny thing is, I think it did work at some point and stopped working. But I'm not sure of that by any stretch of the imagination.

Thanks bud, that's exactly where they were. Unfortunately, it didn't resolve the problem, I guess I'll just have to wait and see in the next update.
On a side note, I noticed that in the MultiComponent Calculator for the Chimera Blueprint, adjusting the ME in BP Research doesn't display the same data as the corresponding blueprints in game. I guess I'll wait until the next version to see if that persists, but I'm generally fairly concerned about the accuracy of the effects of various factors on blueprint data. There are only a few BPs I've looked into deeply, did I just stumble across a couple that happened to be having issues?

Maybe in an earlier version of Meep or the plugin, but surely not in the currently available.

Yes, unfortunately not, because this hasn't anything to do with the settings, but the plugin itself.

This may be, because in the last downloadable version I have (not the current working copy), the ME and PE aren't yet used for the calculation. This hasn't anything to do with the underlaying data but it seems just a bug in the current MultiComponent Calculator.

I am wondering how the data for the blueprints is generate.
I would guess its based on the database, but I cannot find the link to the blueprint and the material information.

The data is generated out of the ccp database dumps. There are MS-SQL Server table dumps which can be parsed into a generator for example. -----

Aye I understood that, but I just can't figure the link based on the files in the database dump.
What I don't know is how the table for the blueprint is connected to the materials required to produce it. If I could figure that out I would have alot of fun with some stuff.
I have looked at the following:
http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/files/dbo_002.pdf
I just cannot for the life of me, find which table might contain the material list for a blueprint. invBlueprintTypes has some blueprint information but its not linked to another table.
Would you mind giving me a hint how the links I might need?

I am just going to reply to myself to see if I am correct. I would edit the my post but for some reason I always view an older version of the post when I attempt to do that.
Anyways I found the following:
INSERT INTO TL2MaterialsForTypeWithActivity VALUES (18067,1,38,25,1);
Which I confirm to be what I was looking for based on the following:
http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/item.php?typeID=18067
I just have to figure out the best way to generate the information I need. If I am on the right track and you can give me a suggestion then I would appreciate it. I am like on very little sleep so I am going to go to bed.

The TL2MaterialsForTypeWithActivity contains all of that info. Use InvItems to get the id number of a blueprint, and then look that number up in the TL2 file. It will appear once for each material, and they will all have the same activity ID. For reprocessing, you do the same thing looking up an item's number, but the activity ID will be different from production id, I think 6 for reprocesing. That gets you the list of materials. To get information on build times or whatnot, that is all stored in the invBlueprintTypes file of the data dump, and once again just look up the ID number of the blueprint. ------

Seems like the MultiComponentCalculater got some bugs when you calculate components like "Laser Sensor Cluster Blueprint":
- doesn't calculate cost based on numbero of runs, only calulates estimated total sales based on number of runs - does only detect lost focus from blueprint cost to trigger a recalculation

Yup, the second one is because some controls are calling the wrong method. According to the svn, that was fixed 3 days ago! Excellent! Ill look into the first issue and see where that might be going wrong. ------

When I set the ME for a T2 blueprint to negative with the MultiComponent Calculator, the material quantities don't match the values taken from a blueprint in-game. Didn't see this brought up when I skimmed the last few pages of this thread so I was wondering if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. |

Not true, the host works fine, and the plugins work decently well. They just dont work together yet. Last time I rushed to put out a version and the last page of responses goes to show that it was a huge mistake, so I am trying to take this slow and make sure everytihng is not only thought out and implimented properly, but also as free of bugs as possible. So I understand that this is taking a while, and the issues of the previous version really really dont help, but the only way to fix them is to finish up here. I really am sorry. ------

You could use the Microsoft Visual Studio C# Express, but I don't recommend it to compile it for yourself if you don't have at least basic knowledge of C#. The source in the subversion is the work-in-progress and some things are not working correctly right now.
We're trying to get the new version out asap, but not without the nescessary testing, as you might be disappointed to get a version with a lot of bugs or missing features and you'll never get a second chance for a first impression. I hope you understand that.

Just some more feedback when I tested tool for production.
I don't understand the concept fully in the Tech1 Calculator. Ok I'm supposted to register my bpo's in inventory and then I can press the 'I' here to select the bpo.
However, it doesn't calculate the mineral requirment based on this bpo? Also, I'm unable to get the tool to use formerly saved mineral prices? What am I missing?
However, it looks very cool and has some great potential!

Yes, true.

Normally it does. As I tried with the latest available version, this works correctly as I can see. With what blueprint did you try and what isn't taken into account?

If you edit the prices directly in the tech1 calculator, Meep doesn't save them, that's correct. These prices are simply to play around with. If you want to save the prices in the current version go to Tools -> Prices -> Mining and then adjust the prices there.

Yes, it does. I can see that now. However the calulations are wrong. E.g. I tried the juggernaut torpedo. It calculates that you need me equal to 99 for using 5 zydr although it should use 5 zydr already at me equal 1.
E.g. here is the calculated vs. the right ones for juggernaut at me 20.
Correct: 1696 trit, 5 zydr and 2 mega Eve-Meep: 1967 trit, 6 zydr and 3 mega
I have also tested other items and the tech1 calculator seems to give wrong values. Is there a rounding error? I used Kavanagh's tool for reference since this report same values as on the bpo's in the game.

Wonderful tool this one is. There is a tiny bug in the Mining Calculator. Under Mining Upgrade, the multiplier is correct for only 1 mining upgrade. The total mining volume is wrong for more than one. I don't know if this bug has been reported or not but here it is.
For instance, take caldari cruiser V, Mining V, Astrogeology V, Mining Foreman V, using 1 Miner II and 1 MLU
60*2*1.25*1.25*1.10*1.05 = 216.56m^3/cycle (This is correct and EVE-MEEP displays the correct value)
Now two MLU's
60*2*1.25*1.25*1.10*(1.05)^2 = 227.39m^3/cycle (EVE-MEEP displays 226.88m^3/cycle, 0.22% error, internal rounding error?) In fact, if I truncate the answer to interger before and after I multiply each of the MLU I get a very similar value of 226.8m^3/cycle.
To be sure, 3 MLU's
60*2*1.25*1.25*1.10*(1.05)^3 = 238.76m^3/cycle (EVE-MEEP displays 237.19m^3/cycle, 0.65% error) The error figure triples or doubles so it is indicative of internal rounding error. Maybe u assigned int to something or not enough floating point?

I tried Tools -> Prices -> Mining as well, but it doesn't seem to save when I press Apply? To which file should it be saved.
Also this is only for minerals. I would also like it to save prices for T2 components. Also I would love to easily switch between production cost prices and market prices on more advanced equipment that require more advanced production items (e.g. on a R.A.M. it would be nice to easily switch between my own production cost and the cost of buying component on market using saved price).
I think this is an awesome tool with great potential. I'm personally also a developer with experience from C# so I will see if I can find some time to look more detailed into this great tool.

Thank you!
The prices data (Prices.xml) is as you can see not as integrated as it could be. There is a place to save the cost to build an item, so that you can go back and compare, (there is a button on the tech 1 and multi calc for saving this) but that data is under-utilized (never used lol). If you check out the code on sourceforge, you will see that there have been an incredible amount of changes and upgrades done to the code (aka things actually work properly and stably). If you think you might want to help out coding, just let me know! I'll add your sourceforge account to the project so you get commit privs. There is always something to do on this project, and I never turn down help. ------

Great job for this tool
I noticed:
- If you set a new "Amount of runs" on for examble the Vengeance BPO lets say 100, the amount of the needed t1 ship does not change (punisher will stay at 1). I saw this with many T2 BPOs. Same bug you have with the R.A.M.s
would be cool you could fix it Look on our Killboard: LFT Killboard |

Hey! I answered my own question. I looked at the svn repository and I seem mention of you guys adding code to deal with the API and to go check min prices at other web sites. VERY NICE!! I can't wait for the new version.

Oh we have added just about everything API related we can think of, along with various price stuff. The trick is getting it all to come together and then tell the user something useful . Thats actually going pretty well. If anyone runs a website or knows someone who runs a website with any kind of data that we might be able to use, let me know. The more data I can play with, the happier I am! ------

I am having an issue where EveMeep crashes on startup. I have completely deleted EveMeep, it's folders and sub folders and reinstalled (unzipped) it. Still crashes. I think something may have saved wrong but I can't find any registry entries. Where would they be?
I love the program and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for a great program.

Try looking in C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\ApplicationData\Bome\
If that does not work (it should) try starting the app up with no plugins and see if something screwed them up. We added a bit of error logging to next version, and we are hoping that it will hep us to catch these issues (the log file will tell you what went wrong hopefully and you can then post it). That in combination with a fully functional auto-updater should make fixing bugs like this much much easier. ------

hello,
there seems to be something wrong, i was missing the subtabs Blueprints and Item Stock untill i added the image files. also it seems i cannot add an items to Blueprints and Item Stock, the buttons simply do nothing when pressed. adding new inventories does not make them load at startup, even if activated. sorry if already posted, 8 pages is quite long to red. -- Tempus fugit -- |

That is quite strange. Lets go through the process to make sure I understand what you have done. First, File->NewInventory->Items. Enter name, save. Look at it in the sub tab, click the add button on the top-right, and a window appears. Fill out info and click accept. You say that the window never appears, and that there was no sub tab untill you added the pictures?
Make sure the app has write access to the folder it is in as well. The images of blueprints really have nothing to do with setting up a new inventory file, so it is strange that that happened. ------

k, fresh install with deleted settings in "Applications\Bome" and no blueprint images. what you suggested works without any noticable flaws so far. i can no longer reproduce the error. -- Tempus fugit -- |

Well, Meep wants write permissions to subfolders of the directory meep resides in. If you put if into "Program files" Vista does not allow that anymore per se.

The file dbo_invBlueprintTypes.sql contains information about blueprint specific information. For info about what materials are used to produce them, look in TL2MaterialsForTypeWithActivity.sql ------

Actually what I need is the data on what minerals are needed for each blueprint. I'm guessing that it is based upon one of these numbers in the dbo_invBlueprintType.csv (I use csv's instead of SQL's since I don't have a database set up) But I dunno which number or even if that is true. Thanks again

The query I provided you did exactly this....
Granted it would have give you multiple results for the same material, because it didn't just do a certain activityid but thats besides the point.

Try going into windows explorer and changing the security settings on the folder containing EveMeep and its subfolders so that 'All Users' have 'Full Control'.

We don't have a way to do this.

I suppose I could take the time to write a small .bat file that calls the csc compiler for people without Visual Studio.

Version 2.2.1.0 Does negative material efficency calculate corectly; it seems to be making things cheaper.
For example, using a Cerberus Blueprint on the MultiComponent calculator, I start with ME 0 on the bp, and PE 5 on my skills.
It then tells me I need 110 construction blocks (which agrees with the show info on the bpo from the market in game). Clicking the Perfect/Adjusted to perfect shows 100 construction blocks (matches 10% wastage on the 110 used earlier).
Changing the ME to -1 changes this to only 90 construction blocks - which is less than the perfect value. Wastage at -1 ME should be 20%, not -10%
At material level -7 (80% wastage, and matching an invented bpc), Evemeep says it should use 99 construction blocks, and the in game bpc says it should use 180 construction blocks.
Has there been a new version which corrects this at all? I had been hoping to use this to determine if prodction from invention was profitable.

I can't pin it down, but it looks like mining calc's might be wrong....
example 1: If you increase station equipment yield from 30 to 75 in successive steps and watch your ending total sell price, it goes up, then down, then up, then down...It should be increasing for each successive click.
Example 2: The skiff yields don't seem to work for me. They are much lower than my actual in-game yield is.

1. This isnt wrong, its just a combo of POS and Station numbers. 50% and35% are stations, while 30% and 70% are POS mods. On a pos mod the % represents the MAX you can get back, on a station its the minimum starting %. They need to be labeled better. 2. You could be right, I'll crunch some numbers and check it out. I might be adding a bonus wrong somewhere, like the exhumers bonus or something when it shouldn't have it. ------

Does / can eve meep calculate prices based on some formula like:
if there is a value in "my orders", then use the value in "my orders".
else, use the value in region by whichever method you select
?
Median prices are too inaccurate. My buy and sell orders tend to be the most accurate reflection of market supply and demand for my purposes, and not to mention my ledger. I am not always the highest bidder in a region and I am not always the lowest asker.

For the next version, which is in testing right now, Prices for items are set from everything you buy and sell when transactions are first loaded. When you import your orders, buy things, grab data from eve-central, import a market log, etc. The prices are updated by what you just did to be accurate. If you dont like the median, choose lowest or highest :) ------

well i cant seem to make it work , i downloaded this calc. to help me with my invention, for example i need to know how much will it cost me to produce a 1 run ishtar bpcwith me 0, and how much will it cost me a 1 run ishtar with me -8 , the difference in data materials is not the same as in the bpo ( the ones with negative me), is this something youre working on ?? what am i doing wrong ??? Also i saved the prices for materials components( T2 ones) and yet when i load the ishtar blueprint it doesnt show the prices that i saved,. Is it possible to input prices for base materials of producing T2 components and then make them automatically apply to every T2 ship that requires them for build ?? Example : ishtar requires 110 units of ion thruster ( the ion thruster blueprint requires crystalline carbonide 13 units, ferrogel 1 unit, phenolic composites 3units, the program already has the prices for this base materials saved , can he apply them automatically and gimme as result the manufacturing cost for ion thruster ?/also when i load another bpc lets say deymos who also requires ion thruster will the program automatically apply the prices that i have saved ?? i couldn t do that o if i did something wrong pls explain so i can understand . thx

Question about the invention calculator..
when i choose the invention job (pilgrim),
I click on the arbi, put in the decryptors, etc.. and it still says i only have a 20% chance of success, no matter which decryptor i use :(
is this how it is in game (decryptors don't modify the success rate) or am i doing something wrong?

1st Thanks for this great program and all the work you put in to it .
2nd The POS Fuel CAlculator needs a upgrade to feature the new modules : advanced mobile lab , cyno generator , cyno jammer , jump brige etc. and it needs a new button to calculate whit constelation sov . Wich drops the fuel usage even more .
Hope we'll see an update soon

I can't find these BPOs on the T1 calculator. They are all capital parts, I think. Any chance to add them to the next version?

New Version released HERE . Because the last 10 pages of this thread in no way apply to that version, and who wants to have to skip through 10 pages to find the answer to their problem. Anyways, this thread can be left to die and please use the new one! ------

I have had a slight quirk that has been present in just about every version of evemeep I have tried; the most recent one included. Essentially when I click the graph button the windows are blank. Is this a known issue and does anyone know how to correct it? I am using the newest version atm along with the .net 2.0 framework. -So newbie its not even funny.- |

Suggestion, instead of the user having to dump market data, have eve-meep connect to www.eve-central.com and get it's prices

Just wondering has the latest version been updated for the changes to invention with the trinity patch? i.e. the increased chances to invent frigs+cruisers?

Ok Am I missing something? I was running evemeep 2.2.1.0 and it had a mining calculator. Now I have loaded the new 3.3.3.1 and it doesnĘt. I have tried to do the updates, but with no luck. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks Fovo

And last question: you have mentioned that inventory files are not saved automatically - although somethign of an inventory is being built from the financial records.
How do I make - and SAVE - updates to inventory, and expecially - blueprints?
Thanks again.

Invention Calculator: ships only get one from the BPC when full runs.
e.g. Using UserManual and a full run (30) BPC - result is 3 run bpc, not 4. Using 29 run BPC - get a 2 run BPC as result.
rumor has it the success rate percentages are higher now too. |

Is development on this project still happenning? I can't seem to get to the website http://www.eve-meep.com. Is it down?
I've been working on some new modules and I'm hoping I'm not developing for a dead project.

I downloaded the source to have a play, but line 111 of the dataloader.cs (I think that's the name). List = formatter.deserialize(file) as hashtable; gives an error of cannot convert dictionary[int, long] to sortedlist[int, long]. As you can expect this one is perplexing! Got any suggestions to get this working so that I can have a play?

Yea, I changed data types because it makes for smaller data files. If you recompile the plugins from their source it should work. If not, easy fix: you need to go into each plugin and redo their reference to EVEMEEP.exe (if your in visual studio, just the little references thing on the treeview). Recompile the plugins and you will be all set.
There is an updated forum thread for this project, linky is 2 posts above. I wish a mod would lock this thread and fix the sticky... ------
