This change only moves your undocking ship to a new point of origin.
There are new models for all ships, stations, etc. but those are coming in the graphics based expansion later in the year. You can read more about the graphics update in Oveur's Dev Blog and view examples of one of the new Caldari station models in this thread.

a) exploration probes will remain borekd then i see at the 0.5 au and 1au end of the tree or is it that the exploration sites have had their signatures halved in value making it twice as hard to find. - has turned it into a big ISK sink
b) person whining about having to leave jita to use their agent - about time 10 jumps isnt that much with wtz.
c) CCP some smart moves tho before u said we removing ice belts before didnt happen so as long as all above happen im fine

What was the reasoning behind removing Jita-Kisogo?
Why not remove Jita-Maurasi and hook that dead-end set of 8 stars to another lower traffic system (like Kisogo / Shihuken / Poinen / Otala / Josameto)? Or remove Maurasi-Itamo?

What was the reasoning to remove the asteroid belts from some of those systems completely? It basically ruined a personal home base hub that my friends and I shared as a few of us are learning the different aspects of the game.
I know my post means nothing to the devs or 99% of the other players, and that posting won't even get a reply or a second thought, but I personally don't see any point for a change like that when there was nothing wrong to begin with. Its frustrating that now we have to go find a new area to learn in that can be central for all of us.

Ava,
Implimenting changes to the game are never easy to make, especially when they have an impact on players such as this one will. However, there are some systems that create larger issues for the rest of the EVE community. Jita itself has become synonymous with lag, especially on a Sunday during our peak hours.
Removing agents and belts from these hub systems is one step among many designed to improve the playability of EVE for the entire community. Unfortunately, there are small groups like yours that will be affected by changes like this, but as Oveur once stated in a forum post in response to a nastier version of a post like yours, "There are 4,999 systems out there to mine in. Not everyone needs to mine in Jita."
Remember, part of EVE is exploration, take a look around. You might find one that suits your tastes better.

Well for the most part I like the looks of the changes with one glaring exception.
Quote: Fighters in space now return to their drone bay if the Carrier / Mothership pilot exits the game and there is sufficient drone bay capacity.
This bothers me on two levels.
1. It favors log off tactics by further eliminating any real financial loss.
2. It favors RICH loggers over poorer ones. Come on, if you are going to make it easier for ppl to use logging tactics then don't discriminate. What if I get dropped in my Nano-Nos-Domi. I should be able to log back in to find all my drones automatically returned too.

1. Nothing about INVENTION?! After that long blog from TomB I really thought there is a revamp coming?
What happened?
2. For Exploration, we now get a greater chance at getting nothing! What happened to the drops of the hard plexes? I gather that you have to fight you way through a 20/10 plex to get to an empty can and MAYBE (although greater chance now) the trigger to attend to ANOTHER plex 20 jumps into some hostile territory?
I am correct with the above assumption?

Will we be able to move after creating a cyno field with our force recon provided we have the cov-ops cloak? I really don't see much of a point if you are going to deploy a cyno and cloak if you still can't move. You're pretty much dead if anyone with a brain warps to a cyno and you have your cloak on.
Except now your dead, and you lost a 80m ISK cloak.
Please tell me that cyno peoples will be able to deploy the cyno and move away.

I have a strong feeling this was implemented for the following change:
It is now possible to find freighters with scan probes.
If you don't have a sensor attribute, a probe can't battle against your sensor strength to find ya.

While I wouldn't mind that this would happen to drones, too, I can understand why it happens to carriers.
AFAIK, when a carrier crashes his fighters do the emergency warp with him. Once the carrier logs out they become inactive at his temporary SS. When he logs in again he automaticalyl warps back to his previous location - but hisfights stay where they are at the random SS. So, unless he bookmarked the spot as soon as he logged in he has to probe for his fighters to get them back.
Drones do not have this problem - although often get destroyed till the droneboat can scoop them again.

I'm missing the logoff exploit fix.
I would assume that it's become rather obvious that this is an exploit causing some disturbance amongst players. I'd expect CCP to act accordingly, especially seeing how long it's already been ignored, and implement at the very least something to reduce it's use while a permanent fix is being constructed.
I don't know, maybe an increased logoff timer outside of aggression to maybe an actual 3 or so minutes ?

Um... What? Having fighters return to you is not an incentive to log off, it's a solution to billions of fighters being lost per day due to legitimate connection issues. If you log off in a carrier to return your fighters, you're stupid because you can tell them to return to you at any given point, and they will do so without issue. When your Nano-Nos-Domi launches drones that cost 20m each, we'll talk. --------------

you cant keep ganking the hubs cause each time people will stil congregate towards each other and a new stronger hub will be created. its just human nature.

Eh? What was this for? Even if a freighter targets you he can't do anything (except perhaps stopping you from cloaking...).
I have a strong feeling this was implemented for the following change:
It is now possible to find freighters with scan probes.
If you don't have a sensor attribute, a probe can't battle against your sensor strength to find ya.

I dont know who would bother making this change as its a dead end 0.5 system with about 5 miners across 9 belts at most. Seems rather Obscene really.
Other than that.. thankgoodness for the whole Cyno+cloak+vatbay, seen some devs call this a low level coding problem.. So its nice to see it got fixed. I thought the Eta was going to be DukeNukemForever.

I have actually tried PvPing in a freighter. Being jammed, I feel is less an issue than having: a) 0m targeting range and b) 0 max targets.
However, one day I _will_ get on a killmail with a Charon. I figure it's got to be possible with some well timed ship swapping, but of course, engineering the right conditions is just not right.

Um...
First of all keep the personal insults to yourself. They are neither needed or appriciated.
Secondly, the first point of my post went right over your head. The point is that it is getting to the point that there is no more risk involved in this game. It seems that 90% of the player base has "legitimate connection issues" at the first hint of trouble anymore. This is just one more step in that process.
Finally, you prove my second point exactly. T2 drones are not cheap you know. I don't see anyone worred about those underpriced T2 drones getting returned to their masters safe and sound. Poor things just get killed by the NPC's or scooped up by those bad pirates right after a "legitimate connection issue" Oh and that is sarcasm btw. You missed it before so Ill point it out this time.

I know you're are not going to include the voice comms in this patch, but as you said, you are going to make some preparations for later integration of the Vivox thing.
That's why I think this is the right time to ask for the following again:
Please think of people using multiple sound cards who need an ability to individually and independently assign ingame sound output, voice output and voice input (mic) to different devices!
For example my setup is using one soundcard for Eve sound (5.1 speakers, also for movies etc.) and another one for headset (Voice in/out, among other things, this soundcard also powers stereo speakers on a HiFi amp and another set of headphones). This works, because Vent/TS and any other sound producing application I use let me choose devices to use (while Eve doesn't). I'd hate losing that ability and being stuck with constantly plugging in/out speakers and headset etc. depending on what I want to do at the time, also losing ability to use all at the same time.
Guess you get my point

Hi folks. I was reading over this thread before heafing to bed and just wanted to reply to a few posts:
Regarding the Freighter and target jamming modules - I think someone (me) got a little confused here when they were compiling the list of fixes for the patch notes. The only reason freighters were given sensor scan strengths was for probing. (unless something changes way in the future)
Regarding fighters returning to ships after a crash - This makes sense from an in game "roleplay" point of view as fighters actually have a pilot inside them (zoom into the*****pit of the little things) so when they detect the loss of signal from the mothership / carrier they plot a course back to their drone bay instead of being left to drift through space forever.

I would really like to know what overseer is being removed. All overseer bosses drop keeps to get to the next levels.
And as far as structures, only 3 structures drop overseer effects, the lvl 1 storage building, the lvl 5 turret, and the lvl 7 hive mother. CCP has already nerfed the hell out of drone plexes with the alloy drops, why does it need more nerfing?
How about fix the respawn rates and leave the spawns alone. Then fix the lvl 3 overseer Derelict. It should drop a 11th tier effect.
5/10 Drone plex has the following: lvl 1 = 9th tier overseers effects lvl 2 = 10th tier overseers effects lvl 3 = nothing (should be 11th tier) lvl 4 = 12th tier overseers effects lvl 5 = 13th tier overseers effects lvl 6 = 14th tier overseers effects lvl 7 = 15th tier overseers effects
5/10 drone plexes have NO bounties besides the silly turrets. For those of us that cannot bring a transport, the effects and what few alloys a bs can hold are all that you get out of it.

Well, that's nice to tell us to find one that suits our tastes better.
Why do you think that we went there in the first place.
We made our decision after careful study and decided to make one of those system our industrial base.
If CCP is to remove belts from systems that become congested, there will be a time when there will be no more belts anywhere.
The lag in those system doesn't seem to bother the people in there. They choose to play one facet of the game that way. They are carebears and they like it that way.
I appreciate that CCP wants to improve the game, but let us play the game as we choose to play it.

Mins take one for the team, again. Film at 11. Minmatar are the stones beneath the feet of Eve, the 'booby prize' of the character selection process for newbies.
Seriously, why has Rens had a more acute region severance than the Jita system? Could you not pull some of the agents from Rens in addition to to the belt removal? If the main thrust was to nerf it as a trade hub (for performance reasons), things will right themselves and people will make another. And the locals there will suffer when you nerf THAT one.
I take it there is no reconsideration or room for adjustments to the route changes?
But let it be said that on the whole.. This Patch Rocks!

I'm curious about: 'Crop' and 'Plow' Gas Cloud Harvester now correctly show Mining level 4 as a prerequisite for Gas Cloud Harvesting in the Skill Req. tab.
Currently they require Gas Cloud Harvesting 1. Does this mean that Gas Cloud Harvesting itself will have a pre-requisite of Mining 4? Or does it mean these two cloud harvesters will have a secondary skill pre-requirement of mining 4?

The named gas cloud harvesters incorrectly display "gas harvesting" as their skill requirements, the skill is called "gas cloud harvesting". I think, but am not sure, that the Gas Cloud Harvesting skill will have mining 4 as a pre-requisite, i will check on SISI tomorrow. ________________________________ ~Jiekon ~CCP QA Known Issues The LogServer Bug Reporting Guides for new Revelations Features

I think it does...as I believe there are changes to the "Gas Cloud Harvesting" skill's requirements so that it would be like the requirements for the "Ice Harvesting" skill, which has a requirement of mining 4.

\o/ for the patch,
but I have to object to allowing the slaver scum to name the market categories:
