That a subtle hint to bugger off? Also was it right just to update it? Or should I have done something else?

Trust me. As Vice Admiral of the Forum Moderator Team I can say that everyone who has applied will receive a reply from us regarding their application. I think it is important that someone who has shown an interest in CRC/ISD and taken the time to apply receives a response from us. Please ensure that your email spam filter hasn't stopped our emails from coming through - you might have missed something! I have to admit that we've had a tremendous response, and I'm very pleased to see so many players interested in volunteering to help the EVE-Community. Thank you! As we do have limited amounts of time on our hands due to real life committments, we need a bit of time to process all of the applications. I am guessing now it was because I had received some forum bans but still it would have been nice to get feeback. It's great being Amarr that flys Minmintar aint it?
