a 2 skill queue would do the job. first skill: short time, second skill: long time.
so the short finishes and i wouldnt lose skilltime due to downtimes.
or maybe let a random skill start if skill training ends in a downtime

btw, does the test server work while downtime is up?
How many other MMOs can host 34k players in the same world?
And yes, SiSi is usually online during TQ downtimes. It does have its own daily downtime at 13, 14 or 15 GMT though (I don't remember when).

maybe ccp will add a day to ll accounts bearing in mind all the server issues we have had this year so far ( and as point can we move DT to a US time zone so us EU players can have at least 6 months of uninterupted play and sitting around on forums waiting for the servers to come back up

TBH is they did implement that your skills dont train while your account is not active, i would probably never return to EVE.. as sometimes I get really bored playing and its good to have a little break, set a long skill to train, possibly wait a week or 2 after my subscription ended, then re-subscribe, knowing that on my return I have a nice skill trained an a few more SP under my belt, which all in all makes me feel better upon my return and makes me want to stay..
(P.S. Sorry for the messy writing lol, i jus took some medication, feeling abit woozy)

Ive read somewhere that they plan to introduce the ability to train 2 skills, but they both train at half the speed they would normally.

Probably the same words re-invented every time a server doesn't work. This isn't a problem unique to EVE, murphy's law governs all of IT. I remember many an all-nighter fixing a production server which had a hickup and wound up taking down the entire system with it...

ok, so why is the server down 1 hour every day(althoug some ppl are hinting that the server usually is down more than 1 hour?)
Is it because everyon is playing on the same server? isnt there another way to solve this? And 1 hour a day is aprox 30 hours a month, that's more than 1 day loss of playtime:p

and yet again i loose skilltime.... not because it completed in dt, but because it had a margin of 2h 7m past that... i really dont know what to plan in margins anymore when it comes to skillcompletion... even in normal gameplay i lost skilltime due to reboots that would take 20m but actually took 2hours....
