I'd still like to see CCP add a right click challenge option or some kind of game mechanics that support QuickFights(tm).

Kurzon, you are an Eve hero in my eyes. You're offering a fair 1 on 1 and yet still the forum idiots come here and smack. They have a chance to back up their bravado, yet whine like little children.
I say "put up, or shut up". He's thrown down the gauntlet and your smack means nothing.
.. and Ginger. LOL, I have you in my "friends" list (note to CCP, why isn't there an "enemies" list?) and I see you connect and disconnect with astonishing regularity. Everyone else, I'd recommend you try it and see how often he logs on / off for yourselves.

Lately I've seriously been thinking about doing just that, setting up a full proper EvE arena. But start off small with t1 frigs, quick easy fun, for noobs or vets.
But eventually let it grow into a full on arena, running bets and comps daily and such. Bored? grap a ship and fly over to the "Arena", watch some fights, place some bets or take part.
And Curz much as I love your idea, I just aint exactly a BS pilot

Everyone else, the confusion arises because people abuse the names of mods. The mods Curzon is banning are ECM--electronic counter-measures. The mods everyone else are referencing are EW--electronic warfare. All ECM are EW, but not all EW is ECM. In other words, he's banning "jammers", nothing else.
Make sense now?
I'd be interested in doing this, but I've got to find the time! :\

I hear a lot of talking, but no action. I don't mean to enflame a situation, but if its so easy pickings to kill Curzon, earn the billions of ISK laid on the table. No amount of words on a forum can defend someone that claims to be the best, actions do. If that wasn't the case, i'd do this: "I am the best PvP pilot ever. I have X amount of kills, and only rely on your trust to believe that I attain each and everyone one in single-combat of equally matched ships." There. And I wont fight Curzon because its so beneath me. I am the victor. Bow to my ePeen.

The reason that I don't allowing cloaking mods is because I could fit a jammer, a cloaking device, cloak and win by default. In a 1v1 setting, I don't believe that it offers much purpose.
With the ban on jamming modules, again; I could make it a very one-sided thing, but I want a fight. :) Pew pew.

There already is something like that. Just Read Tetra Games thread. Looks similar but with much more potential. Scam? we'll see. Curzon, you should talk to Chillin Cold, the two of you might make something that'll change the some ppl play eve. Pretty exciting stuff. I'm very excited to see where this pans out.

Panzer Goddess and I fought tonight.
It was a last minute deal, but he was impatient. After a mind-numbing start in which I was sure I was about to evaporate, things evened out and I eventually prevailed with an incredibly whacky setup. =p
Panzer graciously jettisoned and warped away for a 2 billion ISK ransom, which I paid in exchange for taking control of his Navy Megathron (with some very nice fittings).
Unfortunately, I can't use Tech2 much of anything, so if you're interested in acquiring Panzer's ship, let me know. :)
Panzer, if you want to buy your ship back you can as well.
Good fight, you were *holds two fingers up* this close from owning me. Look me up for a rematch if you like. :)

HELL YEAH, GREAT FIGHT. Been a long time since I seen a crazy tactic like he had. Instead of going gank in my navy I went with a nos setup and for ****sake he had a gazillion cap boosters, wont say the setup, those should just try it. GF, honors his word and does what he says. Do a match with him again anytime.

As a spectator, it was a little frustrating not being able to see what was happening, when it comes to seeing who is winning. We were unable to move from the warp in point. and the fight lasted 20 min. It would be, in my opinion, better to figure out a way to allow the paying spectators to lock the fighters to see whats going on. If you like, I believe i know the way. Convo me in game. I must say things were very exciting the entire time. I have to admit the fun it was. and other then not being able to see the dmg being delt, totally worth the 5 mil. If things change, and spectators are allowed to target. I'll be there for every fight. :) Good show.

The reason you're 50km away is because I'm paranoid about getting jumped. =p I've taken care of that with the aggro system, but I do auto-target and it would be quite annoying to get locked by other people while I'm fighting.
I'd rather not take the chance of CONCORD showing up because I shot at someone I wasn't supposed to.

I haven't exactly made a secret of this, but I purchased Curzon Dax to be my industrialist about...9 months ago? I found ISK easier to make than skillpoints, so I decided to upgrade myself. :) In a previous life, I can't tell you what his owner did, but if you do a little searching, as I said before - you can see his skillpoint array, and there aren't any PvP pilots with the kind of industry, mining, and research capabilities that I have. =p

I myself try crazy setups everyday within gang formation. And ive found some very good ideas were 5 bs vs 5 bs my side could with win no or very very little losses. Without E-WAR. Im pretty sure you couldnt of found anything that hasnt been thought of by atleast one person before.
This is a game called. Who can spend more money to fit a ship, and hope you randomly counter the setup ur opponent uses. Everything in this game can be countered in some way or another.
He goes by pure luck that whoever hes fighting just setups as a damage ship, and not a more unique 1v1 setup. Like using Nos.
