Talkie Toaster Viziam	Posted - 2007.04.03 13:09:00 - [100] well there are three accounts in my name as 18 months ago when i was enjoying ymself in a corp i had 2 that i took mining with them or solo (osprey on one, thorax and iteron on another) and then i wanted to do some fighing and get an apoc so i made this one. then about 13 months ago i quit due mostly to time constraints and then 3 days ago i paid for account 1 and 3. so the one with the osprey an this one which had all my money (20 mill lol) and my agent running n00b on (1.5mill sp :P) the temptation is there to pay for the third account and start the mining up agian, but i really cant be arsed with the *****ing about dumping the cargo every 60 secs and then hauling it. i think i'll deffinatly keep this character going as i am enjoying the agent missions and may possibly take the character into pirating later in life (though i like to think i'll be one of the nice ones who just webs you and demands money instead of one who just kills regardless. i have my morals :P). as for the other two accounts. i dont know. i ay fire up the inactive one to clear it out and then forget all about it and maybe keep the osprey one and train some better hauling skills. or i may just clear them all down and play with thi character as its a complete n00b to the universe. we shall see. i totlay understand why many only want one account. but i also understand why people want decent ALTs to do other stuff with.

Ok, you can use different ones and enter false user profiles. But as they want to be able to ban related accounts, they surely have more means, they probably don't use them for the statistics. Anyway there are a lot of methods to identify a user. They could use ips, names, email addresses, client ids, generate keys from hardware ids, use browser infos and/or cookies, when you access your account page and other things. I seem to remember that there are programs that identify people by their typing rythm. Then compare those gathered profiles and see how good they match. Just hypothetically speaking. Also I decided to stay 100% Amarr and not to train anything special just for PvE or PvP. Well I do train some basic missiles, but that's for the occational launcher I fit. The only thing that brings me down now and then is when my station/system is camped and I can't play my main. Wish I had an alt in some backwater system, or on another server mayhaps, just for fun. Would love a freshman noob on a new server where everyone was fresh noobs and we could fight things out in frigs and cruisers..

I really hate the fact that the game design really makes having two characters online at the same time almost mandatory.

Would allow me to find a system farther out from any OP, rat for awhile, and just pile the loot into the alt. Makes ya alot more money that way when you can collect all the loot and refine it for minerals.

I've had this character for around 10 months or so. Specialized in mining and now some manufacturing. I trained him up just well enough to fly a battleship to rat some smaller spawns in 0.0. But I found that it was really starting to hurt my industry training everytime I wanted to train a more combat related skill, since I wanted to rat bigger spawns, or be of more use in alliance fleet ops. So, a few weeks back, I got a second account and am currently skilling him up with his primary focus on combat. In the mean time, he's making great use of himself as a hauler while my "main" mines.

Often times we go out, all fifteen of us and gank people and then laugh at them and tell them they're losers because they can't afford as many computers and accounts as me. Apparantly there's no dishonor in that. It's not like I have an unfair advantage or anything. Shouldn't the amount of money you have in the real world be the deciding factor in how successful you are in the game?
