I ran some experiments on both TQ and test, and I can confirm:
Shuttles don't tank worth a sack of rat turds.

Ah, drones and fighters- the most Uber, flawless, perfect weapon system known to EVE kind! Clearly they're in need of nerfing. Or perhaps we should just program some bugs in to their AI, or remove their MWD, or make them warp off on their own- that'll level the playing field a little.
Besides, I hear shuttles have a little trouble setting up a decent tank.

I feel we should log onto the test server to see if the shuttle tank is poor, because i hear it was mirrored yesterday, but the mirror is 4 days old.

That would be "bien" because it's an adverb.
And um, to tank, yeah let's leave that alone. Tanker works fine for me. However you need to conjugate it:
Je ne crois pas que les shuttles tankent bien.
Not going to look up shuttle either.

Yeah, that 500 sec recharge really comes down if you have a few mil SP in engineering. If you don't then I doubt it will tank very well, so you might as well shoot them.

You heard wrong, the other day a phoenix dreadnought was shooting with rift citadel torpedos on my shuttle - and i was able to tank him indefinitely. I don't think you can tank him with a battelship, so conclusion: shuttels have a better tank than battelships

There's probably a Jovian shuttle that can tank well, but it would still use Templars, an Amarr fighter.

Pardon me old bean, but I have recently come under some very dubious intelligence which is enlightening, which seems to a unexpected and astonishing fact that, shuttles indeed do not tank very well at all .

I usually fit my shuttles:
Lows
nothing
Mids
nothing
Highs
nothing
I heard they dont tank well though, despite this elite fitting.
