Never tried it :P but how bout equip mad FOF range missles, with rapid launch and start launchin em every-which way ;D Wonder if that would work.

You just need to hit lots of systems and get lucky.
Or you could try sticking a cloaker alt in their system for a while. -

Technically, they can't cloak while an npc is targetting them, so you just have to get to the belts sooner.
Which means: -Use faster, lighter ships. -Use them warp rig thingies. -Target smaller systems. -Use more aggressive intel measures.
Don't restrict yourself to ransoming targets that have been scrambled? I don't know why anyone pays a sub just to sit out of the game, so ransom them for the permission to undock/un-ss/uncloak.
But yes, it's stupid. If you have hp damage or something, you should not be able to cloak.

In each belt anchor a medium bubble. Leave sytem. Wait a minute or two. Jump in and send a gang memmber to as many belts as possible. IN theory the macroes will not realise they are in a bubble at all and even if they try to warp off they should still be a sitting duck in one of the bubbles.
Of course this solution is impractical but if you are determined I am sure it would produce results.

I shoulda mentioned, I'm in a dictor. Just about the fastest thing out there =P Go Sabre. As for ransoming them to keep ratting, we tried that once. They paid out .10 isk to each of us. Unfortunately, since we're not macroers, we can't afford to sit there all day 23/7. But it makes for a good argument for an alt in a recon ship just sitting there cloaked all day...

Fit a 2p scram instead of 1?
anyway.. dont change the cloak... will only nerf the recon force and covertops more and specially the stealth bomber.
or change the cloak to: can only fitted on covertops/stealth bomber and recon force without a penalty.
the penaly for the ships that are not covops/stealth bomb/recon force: same as when u fit stabs. -50% target range -50% target strength or warp inital time increase to 100%.

Edited by: Christopher Dalran on 24/04/2007 15:37:42 I'm sorry but the real problem is Local chat showing who is in the system, local chat can stay but the list of who is in it needs to disappear.
If you CBA to put someone on the gates to watch them then you dont deserve to know if someone is passing through. Also if you CBA to check the system or scann around then you dont deserve to know if a target is in the system either.
Such a change would not Hurt anyone, it would provide benefits and penalties to all parties. It could hide miners/ratters and pirates alike. (Ie. Cloaked gang member watching the gates telling their gang when they need to warp off and cloak). ------------------------------- C.D's Formula for success ------------------------------- Credit Card = Game Time Card Gametime Card = ISK Therefore Credit Card = ISK.

I used to be against taking local away, since it helps avoid the 100-AU-system-with-noone-in-it-but-you-can't-be-sure problem. But the more I see this isk farmer logging/cloaking ****, the more I'm for it...

I could see this being part of a practical solution if you're really dedicated to running sweeps and cleaning a system. If you're just looking for some easy macro gankage without putting some time into it... Then maybe not.

During one of the patches, local was plain bust for a few hours...it was both terrifying and exhilirating at the same time...who was in local? Who knew? One of the better little hiccoughs.
I highly support making it just like alliance chat..nobody speaks, nobody shows up. Would make looking for war targets a pain in the behind, but would also make them looking for us absurdly difficult.

Warp there if rats there, log wait 4-6 min and logon, hehe works 50/50 doing it solo and great fun.
