Fearless Sheep Caldari 4S Corporation Morsus Mihi	Posted - 2007.04.28 01:23:00 - [1] Well, we just had the most unpleasant game "experience" I didnt think was possible. Kogal flying Drake jumped ot the system where I was waiting for him and shorty (while he was cloaked) 2 more guys joined me on the gate. He then uncloaked, cloaked and we rushed to uncloak him. In that moment he logged of and we tackled him. But, guess what! On half of armor his ship dissapears from the game. No, not warped out. Ofc, GM would say that logging off from game cannot be considered exploit, so this message would be primarelly for EVE community. LOG OFF while cloaked and enter game with alt!!! It will save both your ship and implants \o/ Do it AGAIN and AGAIN untill CCP finds the guts to change the exploit part of this. Thanks FATAL Alliance, The Wild Hunt Corporation, and Kogal pilot in particular for dragging this game's mechanics to the whole new level. P.S. This is not the first case of this and Im not probably the only PvPer around stroke and hell, maybe there is a tread about it, I dont know. I just want to make EVE community aware of this (once again). Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

Maybe your main char will dissappear if you logg in your alt? Because it is really strange that a ship just disapears without warping away. If it was so, I don't know if it is considered as an exploit by ccp or not to try to avoid the 1 minute dissapearing timer. But I can't really judge that with my humble pvp experience ^^. So just speculating. Write a petition and let a GM decide.

It's that, when he logged off, he logged on another character on the same account. This causes your first character, aggro timer or not, to disappear from the game. At least, it used to, I assume it still does. No amount of bubbles or aggression can overcome this. The only way around it is to kill the ship before the guy can log onto an alt.

Its how the logging off is supposed to work, theres no need to log onto an alt either, it doesn't affect anything. Fortunately CCP is making a change in the next patch that'll give you another 30 seconds to kill him. ----- [Coreli Corporation Mainfrane]

I have seen at least 3 people in large ships logging out of my bubbles in the past week in Fountain. Which kinda blows if you don't have the firepower to pop a BC/BS in 30 secs.

( No surprise: A scambled ship can't warp off, but a pilot can't get aggressed after logging off, so the ship still disappears after logging. ) Nothing new. I have been complaining about that ages ago like last summer, but you always get the stupid: 'bla, griefer. If you are more than one I log !' responses. Hey Mr. Fearless (Nice name btw) Do you remember about 5 days ago when you were in Fountain around the sphinx constellation (around OWTP I think it was) were your small fleet of 25 people logged off because of the incoming Fatal gang, and you stayed logged off until your scouts could verify that yes indeed the system was clear and the Fatal fleet was gone. Well i do have respect for Morsus Mihi, but don't start preaching on these forums that Logging off is bad (which it is btw) when you and your comrades do it themselves. We had a Goon dominix log off after it ran into a small gank squad of ours a few weeks ago. We couldn't lock it; we sat and watched as it took 15 seconds to warp out and EVE would just not let us lock it, like trying to lock a ship just undocking.
