Yes, it's actually hilarious that the primary defender of BMBE has drawn so much attention to it. If Baun had based his posting on facts rather than hearsay and simple accusations, the image of BMBE and its ethical defenders would probably be different now than that 30 hours ago.
The image being that what? They made a mistake about 1 year ago that was known to many many people and that some scum decided to lie about it to torpedo their credibility and business operations for his own gain?
I didn't disclose information because its not my job to decide how to do so on their behalf. I defended Tornsoul because he deserves to be defended; He is the most consistently honest player I have ever dealt with and I will not stand by while someone OUTRIGHT LIES in order to foment mob justice.

THEN WHY DID YOU EVEN POST. You didn't defend him, you just brought more attention and negative feelings toward bmbe causing more damage than this thread would have without you. If you had stated your "secret" bmbe probably would be looking a lot better than it does currently.
There wouldnt have been mob justice if you had just stayed out of this.

Baun challenged the one and only lie that was present. After having this community delight in trying to burn him, Baun, at the stake it is reasonable to expect him to be a little unreasonable. So, let us take your advice... we shall await further development from the primary actors in this comedy of drama. No need for the minor players and audience to turn upon each other now. I'm sure there'll be plenty of need later on so let's conserve it... ... for now.

Now I realize EvE has a lot of directions where you don't have to just PvP to enjoy yourself if thats the kind of thing you like to do.
But what will never cease to amaze me is that people will give their isk, to a stranger, hoping to get more isk back. Now in real life we have huge government agencies, courts with the power to impound and imprison, fines, and the like and yet still scams are not uncommon in real life investing.
In EvE we have none of that, and reputations are as easy as buying a new character if you have the isk. Often the scammers are bought characters so the 'main' is immune from the backlash.
Really guys, unless this is a form of role playing and you don't care about your isk, come on already.

It's called greed, and it does happen in RL, even in large scales. Namely, the famous Ponzi scheme which has been copied here in EVE itself.
Bottom line is; you can convince the human mind to give up rational thinking and reside to pure greed (rational, too, from a certain point of view) when you're deciding how to spend you iskies. In fact, the simple fact that people earn money from investing in something - NOT that there's large business plans, trustees and security - but pure returns, convinces some (many) people into investment. That scams them.
