I fully expect the market to return to normal in due time. It's all about supply and demand. If Zydrine continues to be in huge supply, the price will drop until people wont gather it because it won't be worth the time. As we all know, time is money. So if people stop selling and start farming something else it will slowly rise again in price. If it stays down however, then oh well, we can't do much about people willing to work cheaper than what used to be the comfortable margin. It does however start to make things seem a bit skewed though. I mean, if the north is severely lacking in top-end megacyte producing ores, then yeah, position will mean a lot more than it ever did. It kind of sucks though that this new market trend and it's effects on 0.0 alliances was trashed by some crumby regions off in the east producing way too many minerals. In a sense, maybe the south is worth more. It wasn't really an issue before though but the only we people can blame now is CCP for giving us a new zydrine-rich enviroment. A lot of the north used zydrine as it's majority of income, sure, because it was the most expensive thing you could find and it was quite abundant. Not likely it was more abundant than in the south though due to the south being massive and having more space. Now however the north's main source of income has been drastically dropped. So I can see why some people may see it as unfair. Still though, it's no reason to talk about the south in my opinion, the south didn't change at all, CCP just added something without thinking of the cascading effects. So there you have it, the shift in the regional space value is thanks to CCP's new implementation of the drone regions. Blame them. Cartiff Darwin With Attitude	Posted - 2007.05.18 05:53:00 - [68] I was PVP trained in the south, along with 90% of the people i fly with, the south is basically a constant warzone which breeds better PVPers, its as simple as that. Myself and my ladz have gone to the north and joined alliances from time to time, but we continue to go back to the south, for 1 main reason, the north isn't pvp land, its nap land. There also seems to be a different mentality up there, In the south for instance if your being invaded or something kicks off bigstyle, you fight to the last man and last ship doing anything you can to hold on, in the north however, they seem to fight until a certain point, then just roll over. This proberbly stems from the fact that its always basicallt the same people/corps in the north, and after every big war and the "Northern block" is defeated, the enemies wander off and the same old peeps just create a new set of alliances and start again lol. In the north you can always start over again, in the south you get *****slapped and you KNOW that they've beaten you. Last time I was there (a couple of weeks back courtesy of a jump clone), the place was a virtual wasteland as far as ratters and miners go. Heck I managed to go a grand total of 25+ jumps before I even had a chance to get podded and sent home - got bored by that stage and just wanted to go home Check the maps and see how few peeps live down there. Even during prime the blobs are tiny. Oh and on the subject of zyd, et al pricing...thank the drones. A week of "mining" Drone Queens, Controllers, etc will easily yield 300k+ of zyd (couple of hours a night without breaking a sweat). You know something is borked when folks get excited over finding NPC haulers full of Trit and Mex!!

As for OP, What's the use of having Ark roids if you can't mine them cause you're involved in constant warfare? The south does have better roids but they also have Angels with their hard hitting Machariels and crappy officer/faction spawnrate. The north has their Dread Guristas but also the crappy roids. The east has Fountain and Delve with their plenty of plexes, but they also have BoB, which i think is the biggest flaw in the game atm. The west, Never been there really, Goons and RA be there.. New Regions got their BS's with the Morphite/Zydrine drops.. but ratting there is just pure hell, no Bounty, must have a hauler character to haul the drops. And after getting the **** to station you must refine it and then try and sell it.. cause tbh.. trying to sell Zyd in a Zyd riche area is impossible. All regions have their Pro's and Con's.. some maybe more then others but in the end it's all better then empire.. cause in empire the biggest spawns you see are BC's (in low sec that is) and if you're in low sec you got pirates YARR!! and for mining... you can mine giant secure cans maybe.. We must be glad we're in 0.0 and got a chance to get an officer spawn, and got the abbility to mine high-ends and to get BS spawns.

"West is left" Err unless you have the map unflattened and are looking at it the wrong way around :D Real men CORPSE-TANK.

I'm so mean for "flaming" the OP. No, just a bit of reality check really. Of every system I've ever seen in the South, U3K is quite possibly in the top 10. "23" (some of course don't exist except off-grid) belts of Prime Arkonor. I mined it a bit with my industry acct and then got the chance to go North. I couldn't believe it. The North had (then) relatively secure mining/NPC'ing, richer ore, and better (easier) NPC's. It was a picnic. I'm not a great or even outstandingly above average at PvP but, Cartiff and one or two others were right. "The South breeds better PvP." even pirates in the north are nicer. South pirates = "Kick them when they're down and worry about consenquence later." North Pirates = "Let's help them defend so we can go back to business as usual later." South vs. North as far as living is like Death Valley and North being akin to......Sunny Florida. Perhaps I shouldn't have used quite the tone I did but, when someone comes to the forums claiming discussion and kicking off with "How the South is stacked for isk", it's really a lie. That's NOT the start of a discussion, it's the start of a "We were beaten because our regions sucked" gripe session. Fair is fair, and yeah, the North kind of sucks now but don't use that as the kick-off for some "BoB and co. have better regions conspiracy" or add it to the "Reasons I hate BoB and co." list. BoB and co. are arrogant and at one point, maybe had some "members" that were a little over-zealous but, in a "world" where the "constant" of NPC income has become more attractive than mining the North has benefitted just as much as anyone else has.
