To resume what I think about rewards, would I raise negociation skill from 3 to 5? No. Actually, I would even be interested by lowering it.

explain that?!

Papa Smurf It would make sense to give highter rewards to people who have a high standing towards an agent and his Corp after all you do have to stick a lot of time in it!
I agree totally, considering the number of similar posts here, then it's a safe bet to argue that something's probably borked. It needs tweaking, at least so that pilots who have done the time/missions get the appropriate rewards without the need to search for exploits. After all we all want to get ahead in this game.
I'm reminded of a rowing competition I watched on tv a while back, where these l33t rowers were firing on all cylinders but the boat only moved about 20 foot. After 10 mins of frantic rowing and going nowhere, it turned out that someone had left the onboard motor on, the crew were rightly p'd off - sound familiar?

Soemthign is messed up.... my alt character with a level 2 agent gets better rewards than me now.
I have not seen an implant since castor, my mission bonus for an 'important' mission is approx 40K isk..... used to be something juicy....

Edited by: Hellek on 10/01/2004 21:07:55 I have done several hundreds of missions for agents in 4 different corps (amarr constructions, joint harvesting, viziam and kaalakiota). While it is pretty obvious that I won't get any from viziam or kaalakiota I also did not get a single implant from amarr constructions or joint harvesting. As I said I have done a HUGE amout of missions. All my agents have a quality of 15+ (most of them have 18-20 even) and the effective quality is about 40 for most. So I really think that good quality = no implants, there must be something wrong.
PS: A corpmate did a mission for a lvl3 agent for his first time today and got an implant from the first mission, a second one from the 5th mission. His agent has a quality of -1

Same here...My rewards/bonuses were going downhill so I started refusing missions. Once my rating with Caldari Navy dropped below 8.5 I got hit with two Implant missions in a row and then another one 10 missions later...

As far as I know those corps with R&D don't give out implants.

Has anybody of you got an implant from an agent in the Tash-Murkon region since castor?

Yes Kaalakiota does give implants.
Got my first implant yesterday after months of missions and it was from my lvl 3 Kaalakiota. (Willpower)
Got my second implant today from Duvolle labs. (Intelligence)
Hope they keep rolling in.

I've also noticed that the first few missions for a new agent seem to give better rewards than the ones you get later, although they eventually seem to gradually get better then fall in quality again. I'm also not seeing 'important' missions every 15-20 missions, more like 30-40 usually, but I guess that's another story.
Viziam gives out Willpower implants btw. AFAIK all corps give out implants of one sort or another eventually. Combat corps give out perception, research corps either willpower (if they build ships) or intelligence, 'leisure' corps charisma and 'business' corps (like banks etc) memory.

Well, I have done a few hundreds of missions if I can also count the corps with R&D and did not get a single implant. Most agents have 38-40 effective quality. All of them are in the Tash-Murkon region. So there are three possibilities: 1.) I don't get implants cause there is a bug with the quality 2.) I don't get implants cause there is a bug with the Tash-Murkon region 3.) I don't get implants cause I have bad luck
Anyway, it sucks for me :-(

Let me Reiterate and Update everyone on what has occured since I posted.
Social 5, Charisma 20, Negotiations 4 (5 nearly done), Connections 4, Missions=untold numbers (LOL) Agent Faction 9.99 Corp Faction 9.88
@ nights ago I was not paying full attention and declined a mission accidentially. My Faction dropped imediately to 9.77 and my agent wanted to give me back her engagement ring (LOL).
Within 20 missions following my Faction LOSS, I received 2 Perception Implant Missions, One Electronic Engineering Skil Pack, some great loot off of (GASP) those elusive 65k NPC Rats I been missing for so long!
SO. I can say that it may be just the odds catching up with me OR there is something to some of the previous posts regarding declining missions and then getting great rewards.

I refused single missions from time to time (missions that sucked) and that did not help. I definately won't decline a larger sum of missions.
It would be great though if someone from CCP could do some research on that (if something is going wrong, what is going wrong) and tell us. I really want to know why I don't get implants and so many others do.
Probably it would be nice if they would enable us to edit our own standings, level of skills like negotiation, etc. on chaos and make all missions insta-completeable (i.e. "give me 1 trit") so that we can test that stuff.

I think it is fortuity and luck. Implants were dropped were rare. Thats all. I often get skills and tools or construction components. Also got 2 implants from 1 agent in about 200- 300 missions.

Edited by: Hellek on 14/01/2004 16:26:35 Yeah, maybe. Those things that depend completely on luck are always something were people create weird theories. Maybe you know the game of Diablo II, there also is a HUGE list of theories of how to get good items, all of them are crap.
I did a few missions for other agents and it was quite funny cause, although their quality was a lot lower the rewards were sometimes higher (one gave me 350k money as reward (120k + 230k bonus)while my good agents only give me 50-150k usually but probably it means nothing (just luck / bad luck)
Anyway, I am going to stick with my usual agents again.

Well, after 3 days of no important missions and waning rewards. I decided to try the "fail a few missions" strategy.
That was the right move, my rewards picked up, and I got 5 important missions last night after my 3 days drought.
Now, I just always decline the long hop (greater then 5) missions and everything is dandy.
Coincedence? Perhaps, but the empirical evidence is building...

Odd, I wonder where those three int implants came from then? :)

With standings around 5-7 i got good rewards - when i went on to better standing rewards went down ( crappy bps, shuttles ... ) then i declined 5 missions to go down with my standing very hard. After that i got 5 important missions, 2 implants and lots of tech 2 stuff. I tryed this for 2 of my agents in different corps and iam shure that as better ur standing as better ur rewards is broken.
