D2 are an insignificant alliance with no real victories to date over any alliance of any significance in the game.
They are an alliance filled with industrialists and newbs.
They know if they were to try and *bring* it against BoB it would be nothing but a massive failure from start to finish and would end up with them losing all of their 0.0 space.
That is why they have chosen to attack ISS instead in a vain effort to keep their ever decreasing pool of pvp'ers from leaving the game. Nothing more, nothing less.
weak.
I hate to say I told you so but there is nothing finer than being validating historically in this game.
Congrats to MC and all the allies up there for driving the nail all the way through their space, very very impressive.
Look forward to visiting there this evening to say hello.

Edited by: Orree on 29/05/2007 18:49:17 Indeed...credit where credit is due. Scoreboard never lies.
Those of us who continue to resist BoB and its allies as best we can cannot be faulted for sticking to our guns and our principles. A lot of us have always been shot at by BoB and their friends, and so we do our best to fight back.
D2 got this latest "thing" started and a lot of people got involved with next to no notice and little time to prepare for what lay ahead. Now D2 appears to be done. The "rest" of us continue to do what we have always done...travel the hard path of being red to BoB.
D2's end surprised me a bit...when dbp said what he said, I thought he was wrong. Then again, I wasn't counting on so many turncoats and people who just dropped out. Seeing D2 splinter yet again didn't help. Few entities can stand up to that kind of turmoil. I know that Morsus Mihi appreciates all the past assistance that D2 provided during our time of need.
Those of us in the North who remain committed to resisting have nothing to be ashamed of. We're now fighting for our homes and remaining committed to each other as we always have been. Some people like to deride us and call us the "Northern NAP Fest" or whatever. Call it what you want, but the main entities in the North have always been friends and are always there for each other. Those with the weak ties have already pulled out, turned-coat or just disintegrated.
Those that chose the easy path made the choices that were expedient for them. Great. Not exceptionally brave, but I guess a comfortable choice. Enjoy your new lives.
Whatever happens, its been a relatively enjoyable fight when you exclude the incredible lag and server issues.

so 8mo from now EO will be unofficialy over. MC + BOB will have nobody to use their capital fleet against, their pvp'rs will get bored, not log in, then get cought playing WOW Warlocks and smack talking in Barrens chat....

RIP, tbh, what I find most strange about all of this is that what is happening to "the train" right now is exactly what led to the downfall of LV.
We're picking off the allies, one by one, until it's all just one big gang bang in the stars to finish off the remainders.

I can't help but respect someone who posts something like this. Posts like this are what make COAD a strong force in eve. It creates respect or disgust for the alliances in question. Simply put, posts like this help shape opinions of alliances. So respect for a good post. ------------- The above user should never be taken seriously. |

Wish I could have gotten you lads in my previous game (Star Fleet Command). I was a much better PvPer in that game. Probably has something to do with the fact that I've played Star Fleet Battles (the game upon which it is based) since the early 80's.
I'd love you have you boys on the business end of the disruptors on my C-7 battlecruiser...heheh.

Yesterday's engagement in S-E was quite fun. I was there with my combat main (Naim Obeji)...fun fighting all you guys. We jumped in with a force of about 130-ish (no capitals). My combat log shows I lived about 21 minutes on the EOY gate. That doesn't count the 3 mins or so spent "jumping" and the 5 or so minutes loading my screen. Then, during the 21 minutes covered in my log, there was a period of probably 8-10 minutes in the middle where I was getting locking bugs and when I did lock, got module lag.
Still it was a glorious fight. I finally started taking fire and warped out. When I came back to the gate, my screen wouldn't load and then there was a ruckus with my two little girls, so I had to get up and go deal with that. When I came back, I was just entering my pod...lol. Not long after that, someone podded me back to Khitaled.
I think I got onto only 4 killmails. I counted 7 others who died that I had locked but didn't get any modules to activate.
Too bad we couldn't muster the capitals at the time to give a better accounting of ourselves.
