interesting to observe the dynamic of the forums, if someone told u the earth was flat would you then believe them. such is the case with most things in here. I'm not talking about this thread specifically, and it is not an attempt to derail the thread either. It is fine the way it is for those who can read between the lines.
i am not a part of the war yet, but i will be, and not on BoB's side, i am not an alt either. i know what bob represents and i know they must be destroyed, and they will be.
it's not an ideological battle, simply balance and the forces of the universe playing itself out here aswell, what has been taken must/will be returned. It's just the way it is. and this is where the take what u can give nothing back philosophy ultimately ends, in a giant battle where what has been taken is returned, one way or the other, sooner or later. it would not be surprising either to have bob split up aswell, when they are finally forced into the last nook in their once so ruthless empire.
I do have a suggestion to the coalition. When faced with an enemy that is unable to be reasoned with, that is ruthless, arrogant and decieving and filled with liars and hipocrites selling their own granmammy to get your land and stab u in the back, and throw u to war so they can sit and relax.
THEN
you do not contact the enemy, u do not listen to it, you ignore the enemy and you crush it. and u continue untill the enemy is devastated, silent resolve. You have not done this, hence you find yourself semi scattered and your peoples are looking to bob alts for the answer to how it's going and making their decisions based on their propaganda. try this.. for 3 months, do not read the forum posts pertaining to this war, plan the strikes, perform them, with absolute resolve and no regret, no fear, no doubt, no regard for what the enemy thinks says or does. Trust your own resolve. rely on your own intelligence that is documented only. rely on yourselves. remove those who will remove others from your coalition, those who seed distrust is the rotten apple in the basket. for these are the traitors in a war.
the best weapon the enemy is employing against you and has been employing against you since the war started.. is using yourself against yourself.
do not listen to the enemy, do not argue with him, do not even talk to him, just destroy him.
it is a battle of thoughts and spirit.. the physical is allways a manifestation of this. it is a display of your resolve. so i ask you coalition, how firm is your resolve. What do you want, the genie/universe asks.. your wish is my command if your resolve is true.
adhere to this battle philsophy and it will serve you well. And DO it instead of just trying. As a little wise green guy once said in a movie, do or do not, there is no try, because try leads to nowhere, you have been trying, and it has lead u nowhere... trying will only lead you halfway there.. so i ask you.. how strong is your resolve? strong enough to put your pride aside and settle it once and FOR ALL, because FOR ALL is what this is about.
an additional note to starwars is that the entire ideology of the jedi is inspired by taoism and other of such liberating belief system matrixes. So with that said, understand, it is not just the little green man in a movie speaking, it is the tao. the force (that's what tao means). it is ancient, and it was destroyed to put in place the prison religions that decreed war against eachother and held the world separated in two and in iron grip. and decreed that whosoever did not follow this religion should be abolished.
such is bob to eve, in no uncertain terms, follow bob, be their slave to their doctrine of hipocracy or be destroyed.
But it does not end here, this battle is far from over BoB, eventhough it has been going on for a while, it has barely begun, your arrogance will be your downfall.

Those of us who continue to resist BoB and its allies as best we can cannot be faulted for sticking to our guns and our principles. A lot of us have always been shot at by BoB and their friends, and so we do our best to fight back.
D2 got this latest "thing" started and a lot of people got involved with next to no notice and little time to prepare for what lay ahead. Now D2 appears to be done. The "rest" of us continue to do what we have always done...travel the hard path of being red to BoB.
D2's end surprised me a bit...when dbp said what he said, I thought he was wrong. Then again, I wasn't counting on so many turncoats and people who just dropped out. Seeing D2 splinter yet again didn't help. Few entities can stand up to that kind of turmoil. I know that Morsus Mihi appreciates all the past assistance that D2 provided during our time of need.
Those of us in the North who remain committed to resisting have nothing to be ashamed of. We're now fighting for our homes and remaining committed to each other as we always have been. Some people like to deride us and call us the "Northern NAP Fest" or whatever. Call it what you want, but the main entities in the North have always been friends and are always there for each other. Those with the weak ties have already pulled out, turned-coat or just disintegrated.
Those that chose the easy path made the choices that were expedient for them. Great. Not exceptionally brave, but I guess a comfortable choice. Enjoy your new lives.
Whatever happens, its been a relatively enjoyable fight when you exclude the incredible lag and server issues.
MM should consider leaving the field with their heads help high. Both Sparta and FLA have. D2 have abandoned you.

No. This is the main reason:

...excellent stuff...
Because there are smart people in this game, that take it as fun first, there is no political event that can kill EVE.
When EVE begun, it hardly had any political structure at all, apart from the RP one. As the game expanded to a point where territory could be held, first alliances formed, informal at first, than later enabled by the ingame tools. Remember, this was not ingame - it was the most sensible thing to do at the time. A group of corps did it, then other groups of corps started doing it.
Now, as we have progressed from Alliance to Empire, which will probably become a recognised ingame relation in the future, we are witnessing the first battle of empires. One will win. Sooner or later, it does not matter. When that occurs, the political landscape will have to change. Words "resistance" and "asymetric warfare" come to mind.
A military empire cannot exist without a war. There will either be war or collapse. When the war is over, begins the slow death.
Alliances will group together again, to challenge the once mighty opressor. There might be several tries. But one insurgency will suceed. Third? Fourth? Who knows. The empire will fall, and the enormous vacuum it will leave will be filled by a group of alliances, which now have to share that space "fairly".
This can only lead to a war.
There is no danger for EVE. The senselles slaughter will never cease.

What does D2 have to do with us and MM and anyone else staying to fight for their home? The only way to keep our heads high is stay and fight until we win or lose on the field, not on the forums. We are not Xelas you know.

With all due respect, that is not our style.
The "field" is our principles. The "field" is our resolve to continue to fight an entity that made us their enemy and continues to make us so through its actions. The "field" is our "home." It is where we live.
We do not compromise or leave the "field" just because it is easier or more lucrative...or...what is the term people use.."fun" to do so.
I came from Fountain Alliance. After BoB defeated FA, I continued to live in Fountain as a member of a non-alliance corp and then as a member of Vertigo Coalition. Still fighting the same fight. Tiring of the Fountain region and with an interest in trying to hold conquerable space (Fountain is NPC space), Shiva moved to Tribute and joined Morsus Mihi. Same goals...same enemies...same principles. Same "field."
All of our moves have been aligned with our principles. Our enemy has always been the same. It will likely always be the same. We do not "switch sides" or leave "fields" because it is expedient or comfortable to do so.
I have seen many, many, many ex-compatriots and erstwhile "allies" leave the "field" and take the easy (or fun or whatever you want to call it) way out.
Try walking a mile in our shoes before you pass judgement on us. Would you have the same resolve without BoB support? Your side is rich with people for whom the answer is a resounding "no."
See you on the "field."

When this war started it seamed like if the forces aligned against BoB could simply apply pressure on BOB from all directions and they could use their greater numbers to wear BOB down they would win.
Maybe they did and I didn't see it; but I never got the impression that there was a co-ordinated push by BOB's enemys, committing their entire resources, day after day attacking BoB directly it all seamed hit and miss with no overall command with a clear strategy.
Anyone have a good theory of why this never happened?

We have things in our stations other people want.
It really wouldn't be very tenable for MM if it is the lone "red spot" in the North, though. Not in terms of attempting to hold conquerable space. Sure, you could guerilla it up in Venal. That's not hard. It's been done...most of us have lots of experience with it. It's not really a goal for us, though.

Its been an honor to fly beside some amazing pilots in the north. Morsus and Pure along with the handful of other organizations still sticking to their guns are some of the most amazing folks I will ever have the honor to fly beside.
We will be here until the fat lady is done singing, and we will continue to be here long after. People keep saying BoB will own all 0.0, to that I say look at people like Morsus, RZR, Pure. and the others who continue to fight. There will always be someone fighting the underdog fight.
I will continue standing beside my family in CEI, RZR and my extended family in the friends i have up here in the north, til there is nothing left to drag into the fight.

As an ex-FLA member i can correct you there - we did not "leave the field" we fought our :@$*!ing asses off! We threw everything we had at MC and Storm and them sum!, and damn good fun it was too.
We had people spontaniousley donateing there hard earned iskies to spam just one more tower, and them asking if there were any more for sale so they could donate more! that was some of the best fighting sprit i've seen, it certainley was not "leaveing the field"

I am impressed with how quickly MC have been able to destroy D2.
It seems that D2 were indeed the paper tiger that BoB made them out to be.
Well done MC, well done BoB. It's unfortunate for everyone, haters on both sides included, that so far no one has been able to bring it against BoB.
Life goes on tho, and there are still forces opposing the Northern Front. Good luck to MM, Razor et al, hopefully some epic fights to come on all sides. |

This war was personal, How long did people expect that boB players would sit by and accept being called cheats, haxor devs etc?
You woke the giant, BoB was content fighting as they always have for fun here and there.
You poked the beehive with your vexatious and un-provable comments and fueled the fire by continuing the propaganda.
You caused your own demise. I am not in bob but I watched and listened.
When this is over the political landscape will be vastly different. MC will own territory that is nearly out of it's ability to grasp. How will they handle that? I bet they walk away. After all this was about conquest not expansion.
BoB will cointinue in the south until they get bored and from what I have seen that point is getting close. The south is a failure cascade. The rails have all but eroded from the train.
BoB imo does not want to "win" eve but to play it. I suspect that after BoB is done in the south there will be a period of regrouping and calm then a massive standings reset. The so called pets will be left alone and rent free to build or die. A group here and there will arise and take control of the rival groups in it's immediate area. Some one will phoenix from this and will become a threat to BoB. Then BoB will get what it wants yet again. War and war = fun to BoB.
I personally do not see RA being obliterated or even touched in this event. I suspect that BoB HC wants RA to take control of the south east east and grow in a way not possible while aligned with Goons. BoB will imo create an atmophere that will coddle RA and allow them to prosper and develope.
As well in the north there will be a constant state of war for months and then some group will prevail and become strong enough to demand and receive title and will again become a challange to BoB.
I have gotten to know some senior BoB players over the last year and I believe that they spend as much time "creating" strong opposition as they do squashing it.
I have heard it said that Molle and Cyvok talked regularly and that the ascn event was planned perhaps the cascade of failure was more rapid that either hoped but none the less it was planned. It was meant imo to give the north some quiet and to allow the north and east to gather momentum. To get stronger, to be a more worthy opposition.
You guys missed the train when you didn't bandwaggon with ASCN. Your shortsightedness was what cost this war.
Another thing that you don't see is that BoB is weaker now then they have been in months. But the only time BoB is really weak is when it has no opponents. Boredom creates apathy. As I said boB is a fighting alliance, and as such will ensure that it has someone to fight.
BoB could "win" eve but it will choose not to.
