*Suggestion* How to resolve this damn circle of credibility gap?

Obivan Efa The Machines	Posted - 2007.06.18 12:18:00 - [1] Most of players are sick and tired with all those dev's unmaskings, t2000 confessions, MSNing favoritism, sponsorings by CCP, BOD namings,Arcanon's demonstrative "Investigations", blames and provocations. And all what we can see - Many Eve players simply do not trust CCP anymore. And it does not matter what CCP will tell next - ppl will not believe in this. Even CCP CEO's initiative from here looks like "window-dressing", but not the thing that will restore trust. Quote: ôI envision this council being made up of nine members selected by the players themselves, where you announce your candidacy, and if you win the election, they come here to Iceland, and they can look at every nook and cranny and get to see that we are here to run this company on a professional basis,ö said Mr. Petursson, CCPÆs chief executive. ôThey can see that we did not make this game to win it.ö If CCP wonna a realy fair audition - they should run an open revision with the help of external independent audit company. Such company that has a great reputation. Not a 1-day free office tour for 9 EVE players, but real work of professionals. This revision should last not 1 day or 1 week but a long period of time... 1-3 months maybe... and result of that investigation should be open for public. I'm ready to pay some extra money for such thing if needed. I think such way of solution will satisfy many. I'm miffed at CCP for a number of reasons (lack of documentation, problems with scalability, other performance problems, mangy UI design and so on and so forth) but credibility was never on my list of "things to be angry at". P.S. If anything, they have showed remarkable patience when dealing with the recent allegations. To the OP: will you pay for your "unbiased, fair, professional, agreeable to all players" auditing corporation? You maybe aren't aware of that but you are asking CCP to hire an esternal organization to came over, read all the file for x years back, dismantle the program to find loopholes and possible exploits, review all the the communication between players and CCP menbers in all roles, so essentially putting the EVE game for x months in the hands of an external company, without touching it while doing so as it potentially will hide some crucial proof of "wrongdoing". If CCP is willing to fork that kind of Euros I would greatly prefer if instead they hire a external consultant corporation to review the program, resolve the bugs in EVE and help with the lag problems.
