I sent a bug reprt to ccp, we need some clear signal to let us know when this is fixed, otherwise how do we know when we can start running missions again.
But patience everyone, we expected bugs after the patch, at least the game play is still there, and there is still heaps of things you can do other than missions.
Why are pirates so scary.....They just arghhh

I got the answer from my petition right now:
Quote: Hello,
It seems that a bug managed to sneak in with the patch and it's effecting standing raises, but we're hoping that this will be fixed very soon.
We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Yeah but that's entirely not good enough. There needs to be some real official acknowledgement of the problem, and an ETA for the fix. There should at least be a news item, letting everyone know that missions are totally buggered. A lot of people probably don't even realize that there is something wrong.
I'm not even bothering to run missions until this is fixed.

Same Problem here. I compared standing increase of 2 identical missions at same Agent before and after patch.
This can't be correct to have more as 7% difference.
I sent a Bug Report, but hope like you all, that a GM will respond to this issue.
Theres allways someone who knows more....

does it happen with low standings as well? f.ex. you have 9.0 standing and you gain 1% standing increase.. this means you get (10-9)*0.01 increase in absolute numbers. so mb now it shows absolute increases instead of relative as it did before?

Now will a 'fix' be retroactive to the standing increases we recieved while it was bugged?

I really doubt that. That would make for some very, very serious database editing.

Not sure how they manage their database, but in SQL you could write a query to modify all missions from a certain time frame assuming you have all the data. *shrugs*

It looks like standings increases start near normal then go to zero the more you run. A record of which missions you did in what order should be in the database so it should be a simple procedure to automatically fix all of the standings increases by the appropriate amount. By hand it would be a pain but with the right formula applied to the right query it is doable. Once they determine what is wrong with the current formula they can reverse the problem and fix all of the existing affected standing increases. I hope this is their intent...
The other way to go about it is I'm sure they know what the intended standing gain is for mission X level Y so they can fix your standing increases that way also.
However, the longer this problem exists the more variables there are. What were your social skills at the time of a certain mission. Did you have any mission reward enhancing implants for some missions but not others (you got podded sometime in between or clone jumped). Did you get rewards for your mission split with gang members, etc, etc. I hope for all of our sake this is resolved quickly unless they have a way to account for all of the variables which change as people skill up, add implants, etc.
An official response with whether standing increases will be reimbursed or not and a general time frame (I expect it to be fixed as fast as they possibly can since this is a major bug) would be nice.
Thanks for all of the parts of the expansion that do work well. Can't win them all but happy they are trying :)

I don't think they store the standing increase history for all time, it looks like it's getting wiped periodically. so no worries :)

Actually having a minimal impact to standing might not be a bad thing
I agree if you are trying to raise standing and all you can look forward to would be the LP points it might be a let down, but if the bug not only effects the standing you receive but also lose , well then this is not a bad time maybe to beat down those navy ships of the opposite faction you might have been avoiding up until now due to standing hits!

I just ran lvl 4 Unauthorized Military Presence. Standing gain was split evenly between me & gangmate: 1.2664% each (x2 = 2.5328% total).
Pre-patch gain for me alone = 2.5385%
Maybe it's rounding? Maybe people who were thinking that gains are decreasing as servers are up are correct also, as I finished this pretty soon after servers came up.
As more people have data it'll become pretty obvious.

I don't think any recent patch fixed it, I just did a mission with 0.0003% standing gain (lv3 Retribution). I guess I should count myself lucky I only wasted 'two missions' (and lost about 3% increase "only").
This must be a bug since corporation standings are now freezed - they were not increasing fast before, but now they are completly stale.
Since the consensus is it is a bug, I just wonder what they were tweaking... -- One day, we will return to the planets... please, CCP? :)

To make it clear I turned in lvl 4 Damsel in Distress aout an hour before the servers just came down -- same agent that gave me UMP. I got a .0002% increase (x2 because it was split with gangmate).
So something happened during the time TQ went down.

Yeah, I have been having the same problem as well. I noticed the problem when I went to work for a new corp (went to caldari navy from the amarr navy and after about 10 missions I did not even have the Caldari Navy listed in my Liked By tab. I then moved to an old lvl 2 agent and ran a few missions with NO gain at all. I have totally stopped running missions until they have this fixed. A Dev in the help channel told me it was fixed today so i tried a mission and still no luck. Make sure you inform all your corp mates about the issue.
Cheers :)

Slightly better, but still sucking? The most recent two were done after the emergency downtime. Third from the top was between the patch and the emergency downtime today. Everything below that is pre-patch.

After today's patch, I tried a mission. According to "Show Transactions," I received: 2007.06.21 02:33 The Seven's Prison Facility 0.175%
Looking back on the same mission, I received: 2007.06.14 20:14 The Seven's Prison Facility 1.051% 2007.06.14 16:08 The Seven's Prison Facility 1.051%
That's an 83% decrease (or one-sixth of the old standing gain) from what I use to receive. So, something is still very wrong.

Do another 3-4 missions and you should notice a decline. Oddly enough, the 'normal' standings gain seemed to apply to the first mission I did after the quickfix. They've since been subject to diminishing returns, to the point where the gains are 0.000X again.
It looks like some kind of broken equation has sneaked through the patch.

Edited by: NIkis on 21/06/2007 03:55:18 yea the hotfix wasn't applied for this
standing gains are still borked (and first mission I done after server got up gave me 0.85% as opposed to 3.41% which was the norm pre-rev 2)

Are the standing increases going to be fixed retroactively?
Or just a "We're sorry, should work now, thanks for paying"?
Silly me, I didn't check the Missions forum before working on corp standing for jump clones...
Note to self: remember to check the (whatever) forum before I do (whatever) after patch day.
