Tranquility will undergo an extended downtime on Tuesday, 24 July. The start time is 0930 GMT and the length of the downtime is expected to be 2.5 hours. During this time, a patch will be applied to Revelations consisting of enhancements, fixes and improvements, including additional Need for SpeedÖ updates.
Patch Notes will be available for review later tomorrow.
Please note: Training a long learning duration skill ending after the scheduled return to service is recommended.

It was stated in another forum post that this patch will feature the fix to recent desync issues. Do we really need more patchnotes this time? \o/ -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

Wonder if this will fix:
The missing T2 icons? The desynchs? The oversize novelty heat icons? The Tempest's front prong support beam showing from one side but not the other?

My bug report on that has been answered as being fixed and that it would be deployed at the next available patch. That was prior to the 2.0.2 patch, so I'm guessing that it is highly likely to be part of this patch. -- Industrialist Carebear, CEO Illudium Space Products: Where's the KABOOM!? Give us a option to scale the size of the module buttons. Or even remove the heat thing completely and use the old style for those of us who don't need/want to use heat.

I understand that this is supposed to fix the desynch issues. That's great. That's awesome. This is a good patch, if this is the case. But do we really need 3 patches in one month? Couldn't these have been consolidated into a single patch? Maybe mimic Microsoft and have the 24th of the month be 'Patch Day' or something?
Seriously, it's a pain in the ass. Every time there's a patch, it's a crapshoot as to whether or not the patch will deploy successfully (1 failure, 1 success so far). Not to mention the fact that I typically refuse to do anything more dangerous than a level 3 mission or mining in high-sec (read: I stay out of my normal lowsec areas) for at least a day, sometimes two, after the patch since patch day is typically glitchy as hell.

When you do ONE BIG PATCH and there's something wrong with it, it's that much harder to find the problem and fix it.
Smaller patches eliminate that.

The first 2 were small patches, to introduce I would guess major-minor bug fixes bugs that are minor but can't really wait.
Its clear the next patch is a larger patch to help with overall performance of the game, something they should take their time on, hence the additional 3 weeks of testing.
Clearly they did some work this week, since the next patch will only need 2.5 hours vs the normal 4+ hours.
