If you have to ask, you're not ready to know..
Why the drone control units? they add virtually nothing. Why the superduper expensive cap rechargers? Why only one smartbomb? Why the Damage Control and no faction / officer EANM which adds much, much more to your tank?

triple rep seems a little over the top tbh but might work. The dcu's are a waste imo on a momma seen as the difference isn't a great deal. i'd go for neuts, remote ligistics, more smarties or something.
I find it odd tho how you're asking for mothership setups. Surely someone who can pilot one should need no advise from us on fitting.

Yeah, people with gallente carrier lvl 3 you can count on one hand
This is exactly the place where one should ask for advice on a nyx fit and the coad forums is where one can go if flaming is ones main occupation.

It is enough to fly it (badly). And if you want a clue I'll give you one to the riddle 'whats green and lives under a bridge?'. Starts with T and ends with roll.

No. No its not.
Its seventeen leagues below "badly". A mothership/titan pilot should have ALL relevant skills maxed. Sure, it might take a year of dedicated training, but chances are, alot of people will have put alot of effort into building that thing, the least you can do is train the skills to the correct level.

What they "should have" and what they "need" are two very different things. One is subjective and the other is objective, care to single out which is the objective one? And with the former bpo lottery and timecode selling, chances probably are that not a lot of peoples iskies have gone into building the thing.
And once again, just to clarify: This is where you go to ask advice on how to fit your ship, not to hear "if you dont know, you shouldnt fly it" or "dude yur skills sux" or "RTFM" types of replies. Dig?

When will people realise there is no "ONE SETUP TO RULE THEM ALL", its a got the ability when at a pos or a carrier to completely change its setup to suit the circumstances. Going in against lots of other ships? Then fit for tank and let your support tackle. Going in against lots of ships with other motherships and/or carriers then fit some tackle gear and don't go extreme tank cos you can remote rep each other. Want to instapop peoples frigs who get to close then fit lots of smartbombs my god the possiblites are endless.
Remeber there isn't one setup for motherships and yes that also applies to carriers too.

I never said ISK, i said effort. Most motherships have been financed by a small group of individuals (or a single entity), then built and defended by a very large group, usually entire alliances. This is why most mothership pilots do not actually own their motherships - they tend to be alliance/corp property, rather than individual.
And for fittings?
Highs: 2/3x near-10km smartbombs, 3x remote reps/triage/remote ecm (situational) Mids: 1x Best Officer Sensor booster, 1x Officer scrambler, 3x Best cap rechargers you can get your hands on Lows: 2x Capital Reps, 3x Best active hardeners, 1x best EANM, 1x Damage control.
(tank may need tweaking, i've got little experience with armour tanking capitals.)

'General Purpouse' fitting:
Note: High-end officer mods of this caliber are hard to obtain. This is really an 'ideal world' fit, and in reality you would probably have to settle for some lesser mods, especialy in the case of Cap Rechargers.
Capital Armor Repairer I x2 Core X-Type Armor Explosive Hardener Core X-Type Armor Kinetic Hardener Core X-Type Armor Thermic Hardener Corpum A-Type Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Damage Control II
(This tank should sustain an average of just under 5k DPS, a Triple-rep tank can sustain around 6.3k but it would become Cap-unstable very rapidly under enemy NOS)
Tobias' Modified Warp Disruptor (Yes, tackling gear on a Mothership. If you get caught alone, you'll need it.) Tobias' Modified Stasis Webifier Cormack's Modified Sensor Booster Draclira's Modified Cap Recharger x2
Draclira's Modified Large EMP Smartbomb (Precautionary measure against Frigs/'Dicters/Drones) Tobias' Modified Large Proton Smartbomb Cormack's Modified Large Plasma Smartbomb Estamel's Modified Cloaking Device (Because even Mothership pilots need to go AFK) Capital Remote Armor Repair System I x2
Capacitor Control Circuit II x2 Capacitor Control Circuit I (On a Carrier i'd probably recomend Semiconductor Memory Cells, but as Recharging cap on a MS is more important go with CCCs) -----

Shows how little you know.
Injectors will let you run smartbombs while nossed so you can actually have a chance of escape while capped out, for a minimal drop in cap recharge. The Nos is for capping out and killing Dictors.

Lol when your mom caps out you did something horribly wrong and are prob gonna lose it anyway.
You are missing on 2x 20% or even 2x 36% cap recharge with those two injectors which add MINIMAL cap/s themselves. It's not like smartbombs take alot of cap anyway. On my Chimera, if i run my shieldboosterl, cap holds at 67%, if i run shieldbooster + 3x smartbombs it stays at 64%...

Actually, an officer modified cap booster will easily outboost most officer cap rechargers
800 per 10 seconds = 80 per second 24% cap recharger on 200 per second max recharge = 48 per second
Cap boosters also apply equally at all cap levels, while peak recharge is only at 30%, making cap boosters extremely effective for boosting above 70-75% cap to jump.

When comparing equivalent levels of Boosters and Rechargers, max recharge is slightly better with Rechargers. (I'm talking 5 cap/s here)
w/ Max skills 2x T2 CCC 1x T1
2x Dracaliras Modified Cap Recharger = +290 cap/s at peak.
2x Dracaliras Modified Cap Booster = +257.9 cap/s at peak.
---
2x Vizans Modified Cap Recharger = +256.9 cap/s at peak.
2x Vizans Modified Cap Booster = +251.4 cap/s at peak.
The benefit of the Boosters being constant recharge rate, benefit of the Rechargers being recharge without reloading or lag. -----
