I am calling for a nerf of the osprey, use of it from hereon out should be considered an abuse of ingame mechanics. Lets look at the osprey, and see JUST how overpowered it is. First the hardpoints, the osprey has THREE turret hardpoints, the EXACT same number as the Amarr dreadnought, so I think we can safely consider the osprey a dreadnaught from now on. The osprey's capability to fit and sustain three dreadnought sized weapons should be removed from the game, when in siege mode, I am guessing the osprey could reach upwards of forty thousand DPS. Furthermore, the two missile slots allow for a hail of defender missiles that I am 100% sure would render it invulnerable to any weapon, giving it a better tank than the Blackbird and the Ferox combined. Also, the bonuses are totally overpowered, 20% bonus to laser amount per level puts the osprey at a level of dps that outclasses even the mackinaw. It is clear that this, combined with it's superior tank, makes the osprey a totally unbalanced ship. I urge ccp to delete EVE from existance to prevent this ship from ever being used again.

Thats enough! When will people stop whining about THIS ship is overpowered or THAT ship is underpowered? C'mon people adapt and overcome. Every ship has a role and its the pilot that makes it effective in that role! I am so sick of all the threads where people **** themselves about how much their race's ship classes all suck a big one!
Furthermore, all you people should pull your heads out of your...oh wait...the osprey? Yeah I lost my Thanatos to one the other day.!

Not sighned - if this gets fixed then my Osprey fleet od DOOOM! will not be as effective in pwning noobs as they join game, blowing up seasoned battlehardened carebears and BoBlets.
To cap it off - I want a hattrick of titan kills.
I managed 2 in my osprey.

I was at a gate camp today when an osprey jumped in. Of course we had a large bubble up so that made escaping very difficult. Right away 3 of our chimeras burst into flames apparently from the 3 guns on the Osprey. By the time my crow going 7km/s flew out of the bubble, half our gang was gone and I barely made it out alive.
Please nerf this ship, it is the solo-pwnmobile that everyone is using now.

I'm going to let you children in on a little secret that we adults like to use time and time again.
Life is not fair. The game is fine the way it is, stop calling for the nerfing of ships just because you can't pilot them. Geez, get a game card, and take the time to learn skills that will let you survive.
The osprey is a cruiser, it's fast, it's deadly, and in the right hands can destroy a battleship. I should know, I've had it happen to me.
Did I cry? No...I went out and got another ship and left the developers alone.
I pay my subscription x 2, to enjoy a game, not listen to sniveling little brats whine about the big bad ship that destroyed them.
I'll leave you with another piece of sage advice.
"If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."
To the developers: Build your game the way you want to. If you want to build super ships, go for it. If you want to make it so that one little cruiser can break up gate camps, go for it. I love this game the way it is. Don't nerf a thing...keep it as real as you can.

BoB was able to kill one after using all of their titans DD's at once, followed by their entire capital fleet attacking it, then their entire fleet, then the coalitions fleet.

Yes im new to the game (1 month in) and have lost 3 BC's in this time plus around 5 other ships in PVP attacks, and have never won a fight yet but i dont come here yelling nerf this nerf that.
If you want soft and cuddly nerf toys buy them and leave this game.
Learn from mistakes and deal with it

Hah, you can't nerf it. It'll just come back. It will take you out easy. It'll flip your can then blast you with its dread guns not to mention its ability to field 25 fighters in it's drone bay. I laugh cause I only need Caldari Cruiser level 6 and I can mine better than a Hulk, rat triple officer spawns and tank the toughest of the exploration sites cause I can. Not to mention I can keep anything alive from my ability to Shield Transfer from across the EVE map. Wanna know why people lose their Titans? It's cause I turned off auto-repeat on my Energy Transfers.

I'm am reltivly new to eve to (14 months in) and i think this would be a pretty good idea, please locate me the link to the website wherein i can buy cuddly toys. I do not understand everything in the origional post, and i was certainly not the one who wrote it with caperputs, but i do think 20% more lasers a level is bad and it should be more nerfed >___<

Can somebody explain to me whats the locomotion with the Osprey? Is there a exploit or something? Because afaik it's just a mining ship with shield transporter bonuses and certainly a small enough powergrid to fit the weapons you guys are talking about.
Am I missing something? Can you clarify this for the noobs? Thanks in advance.

Mining in an osprey is excellent fun. Even moreso when sometime tries to jump me and I press F1 and have some of my friends join me. . .

Even that i'm flying caldari myself, the osprey truly is an easy-mode.
It's the _only_ 10mil ship ingame(incl fittings) that can take a titan solo.

Probably only be half as bad as the nerf coming to the osprey, but that much nerf to a single player... It's dare not imagine the horror!! Seeing something that terrible would haunt my dreams foreverz, and I'd see flashes of it in every blink.

I'm more concerned about rumours that the Osprey will be buffed to be immune to EW, as well as have 95% natural resistance to EM damage. It'll take down my Abbadon in seconds.
If we needed any more proof that CCP hates Amarr and wants everyone to play Caldari, the Osprey is it.
Also, I'd like to draw your attention to this article, which states that the Osprey "has been depicted on the 1986 series Canadian $10 note, and has had an airplane (the American V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft) named after it."
Find me one Minmatar or Amarr ship on a bank note or that has a real life pwnmobile named after it and I'll stop /signing, CCP.

The ospray is the only ship out there with the power to defeat those Veldspar roids without them we will be doomed. I mean what else will we have the shuttles!?! Sure they can solo a cap fleet of 1337 ships but against the veldspar rocks it's just a massacre.

Even though it is another game breaking solo-pwnmobile, the ferox is a good alternative for pilots wishing not to use the even more overpowered osprey.

I was in an Apoc last night, guarding some miners in a 0.4 sec belt, when an osprey warped in. It was when one of it's turrets swivelled round and emitted a strange glowing beam I knew it was time to GTFO and dock. Unfortunately, one of it's FoF missiles followed us in warp and blew the station up, and then all the stargates just kinda slammed into each other and the system imploded. But the osprey, it's still there.

People wonder why there is desync and lag, and the real reason is that CCP GMs crash the servers to keep the ospreys from destroying not only all of EVE, but Iceland as well. |

An acquaintance was telling me the other day about a relatives friends, dog's first owner, who was piloting a rattlesnake. He got suicide ganked in hi-sec by a 2 month old pirate in an Osprey.
Not only did the Osprey pop the snake before Concorde could respond, but Concorde couldn't jam the Osprey at all, and they couldn't break it's Uber-tank.

Wrangler and Oveur were smartbombing noobs outside Jita 4-4 for kicks, so I felt the need to defend the weak and isk-less. Good thing my T1 Osprey was around, I managed to pop both their Polaris frigs with my civilian gatlings while tanking Concord. My Osprey then cast Resurrection and Mass Heal and brought all those noobs back to life.

You cant leave the hanger anymore without bringing two. Two because no ship can beat an osprey 1v1, I can only surmise that the contradiction brought up when an osprey fights another will crash tranquility.

This post has given me the bright idea of taking a PvP fitted Osprey (if there is such a thing) into 0.0 for ****s and giggles. If this thread is any indication, if I bring my Heron tackling wingmen, I should have sov. over all BoB space in hours....

Please don't nerf the Osprey CCP
I spent several days training Caldari Cruiser to level 4, and several almost two weeks training some other skills to level 4 for the sole purpose of flying the Osprey.
If you nerf the Osprey I will be foreced to consider the posibility of perhaps canceling my subscription in disgust at having my precious time wasted.
