appears in the latest patch notes that the Zor mission is to be removed.
please reconsider as its the only fun i have had in weeks.its not to hard as many people have stated and you can always say no when offered the missions
who makes these decisions ? and do they actualy listen to the paying players ?
leave Zor alone and even invite some of his mates along for the ride as well.
please post your support for the keeping of Zor in the game.

I'll vote. Only done it once with two of us but been having fun working on configs to kill him quicker or solo.
Some missions should be a challenge all other combat missions are just easy kills.

---
Read this stunning piece of patch notes on the departure of Zor as a level 3 agent mission.
There have been loads of complaints about the rats in agent missions being too weak and unchallenging. Also people wanted missions that needed several (Corp) members to complete.
Now that we finally have Zor, it appears that there's people crying their little eyes out about him being too tough and not solo'able.
Wake up time! Read the Mission description and use the decline button if you are not tough enough to kill him, sociable enough to ask for help in Local, or plain Corp'less.
I haven't personally had the change to have a go at him, so have no first hand experience on how tough he is. But I have a buddy list and know some locals, so I'm bound to whack this guy should the need arise.
Puhleaaaase leave Zor in as a lvl.3 Agent kill mission.

yeah, it's not like Zor is very common damsel-napper, so it shouldnt hurt those people, who can't handle him, too much to refuse it.
Please dont remove Zor, it's the only fun mission atm, other ones are just tedious and boring. |

At least leave him here until level IV and V agents appear. I think everybody knows what he does now. :)

Zor in
Mission-Carebaers out
Can't wait to meet Zor. Though at the rate I can be online it will be days if not weeks before I see him. Don't remove the interesting and challenging parts. Everyone and his grandmother know what they are up against. So why nerf it?
Ppl will also complain if a lvl5 agent gives them that mission.. bwaaah too difficult. Lost my bs (which had a crappy outfit and i don't have the skills to fly effectively..) blabla

I agree that Zor should be left in too. If you aren't able to do the mission for whatever reason, just decline it. I have fought and lost to Olufami using my Maller but I sure as heck won't lose to him in my second meeting with him. It gives me something to look forward to and I was looking forward to getting a bship and taking out Zor. Please devs, read this thread. I know most of Eve's population is at least intrigued with the new harder kill missions. Come on people, support me on this

Please keep zor in, and for all im concerned up the difficulty of fighting lvl3 missions across the board. If you cant handle em and dont want to loose standing go do missions for a lvl2 agent.
The other option is to introduce lvl4 agents asap and let them hand out similar missions. But I'll be suprised if they would enter the game soon, and not soon(tm). -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs

Yep, please save the Zor mission (and add in more battleship kill missions).
Firstly, yep these are hard for some agent runners, but there are certainly ways round it.
For example. I have personally helped out a couple of people with the Zor mission who asked in local. This promotes a bit of team play and getting to know strangers - a useful social function.
Also, people can get their corpmates to come and help out.
I personally think the Zor mission is excellent and would like to see more of the same.
Missions that require a bit of team-work (potentially) are an excellent idea.
(By the by, if any mission w-hore near Puch gets the zor mission and really can't handle it alone feel free to contact me. I am happy to gang, and share the bounty, you can have the implant and I get dibs on the other loot.)
Can't say fairer than that surely?
Love and peace

Please keep Zor, that mission is 1 of the rare things in agent missions that you actaully look forward 2

I have only encountered Zor on one occasion, it was a corp m8's mission, several of us went along to have a look and have a go at killing him, I think with the slight changes to the missions of getting a random 'guy' to go fight, they could atleast let you know that it is a battleship or cruiser you are likely to be facing, in the same sort of way you get a pop up box telling you that the mission require Xm3 amount of cargo space but your current ship only has Ym3. Definately keep Zor mission in though

Here's another vote for keeping Zor. If needed, have the agent warn your how hard he is.
(Say, how long until level IV agents are avalible, anyway?)

OK, never had the Zor mission yet, and when I do I'll have to turn it down (or maybe invite the corp to help, depends if they are online or not).
BUT : KEEP HIM IN!!!
I am possibly the worst combat pilot in the game (especially considering how long I've been playing), and I don't have a battleship - but this game does NOT run exclusively for my benefit. There should be things to do that are hard - they can be used as a measure of a player's success. I would even suggest that there should ALWAYS be things in the game that are sensibly impossible for a long period of time - thereby giving someone the kudos of being able to say "I was the first to do it".
An intrinsic part of any game is that it challenges you - SAVE ZOR!

As one of the carebears that doesn't have a battleship, I say leave Zor in. If you can't handle it decline the mission.

Zor is a tough opponent for a lot of players, but some of us like a challenge.
I say keep him in!
I would like to see a better warning on the mission notes however, and maybe a pop-up warning when you accept the mission saying something like "Zor flies a Raven battleship, and may be difficult for a lone pilot to defeat. Are you sure you want to accept this mission?".

Wasn't Zor removed because it was the mission people were explointing? They warped in over and over again to fight Zor as many times as they pleased. Also it was rumoured that Zor dropped that +4 Perception implant.
So they couldn't fix the exploiting, and simply removed the mission...

No, just what Zor dropped was fixed as well as the re-Warp I think.

So people are really asking the Devs to remove ZOR because he's too difficult??? I can't believe this. OMG.

Absolutely!
Leave him in the game. I lost a Rupture yesterday. Hadn't done missions for about 3 weeks and was totally surprised when I warped in at 20k with my Cruiser. Locked and started to shoot some at the roughes and suddenly I was hit by a couple of torps and did not understand where they came from ( I was expected to meet Kruul, that was why I was warping in only at 20k), started to warp away and look around if there was any player ship around that was firing at me... Well, my pod took me to a station safely.
I love that guy, please CCP leave him as he are! Also, it is unfair to take my oppurtunity away to kill him in revenge! ------------------------------------------ When you get close enough to read this line, you are low...
Choose your meaning of low a) passing below the normal level base of measurement b) marking a nadir or bottom <the low point of his career> c) DEAD -- used as a predicate adjective d) socially humble in character or status e) of lesser degree f) of lesser position, rank, or order g) falling short of some standard (mine) h) not advanced in complexity, development, or elaboration |

Yup, leave him alone. Hell I finally took the plunge and trained up Min battleship and bought a Typhoon just because of him! Blew my Rupture away and I want revenge!
After all you only get the kidnapped daughter occassionally and even then you only have a small chance of getting Zor as the pirate. To be honest I cannot for the life of me see a valid reason to remove him unless they're prepared to bring in the level 4 agents and introduce more battleship missions for them.

Been up vs Zor once, it was damn hard and looked like an everflowing stream of cruise-missiles - a challange! (Even had friends help) Now I want the chance of going up against him alone and try a few set-ups to see if I can do it...
Only been offered that mission once, and I've done A LOT of missions so I see no reason to remove it... (If you just have to decline 1 mission each 200-300 missions it won't affect you or your standing very much)
...and with the light all life vanished... |
