Pretty clear to me after the miserable failures that were Prohibition I & II that IAC has willpower and stamina in spades. Maybe if we ran out of alcohol we'd be beatable, until then we can be knocked down, but not kept down.
And again with the re-writing of history!
IAC was completely beaten and utterly supine in both Prohibitions. MC simply left the field each time for reasons that had nothing whatever to do with IAC. IAC was left squabbling on the boards, pointing fingers, and crying in POSs -- until they were bailed out by external events.
Maybe another external event will present itself here, but it must really please AAA to see IAC taking credit for victory in Prohibition II. Evil Thug, you watching this? It's like you weren't even there.
If IAC gets bailed out yet again by AAA (why do they prop up this weak carebear/farmer alliance?), in three months, Tyrrax will here on the boards taking credit for it.

I think it's called Alcohol Induced Amnesia. IAC are still here though. They play a relatively big role in the scheme of things. If they'd been beaten so badly, they would be living in NPC space or living out of someone elses stations, like so many other alliances who have fallen from grace.
IAC is a lovely buffer between empire and AAA space. And it's mostly blue. It's good to have friendly neighbours

I don't think the issue here is that people blame McBoB for using the capitals they have (well some might). Hell, I would use all those caps as well if I were them, why have those 6-7 moms rusting away in Delve when they can be used to fight someone? What I think is worrying is the effect this is having on the game. To me these huge cap-blobs pretty much rule out the chance for any real pvp. Even if we were able to match their cap numbers (which, as I'm sure everyone is aware of, we're not even close to being able to) the result would just be hundreds of billions instead of hundreds of millions of isk lost to desync on either side. I'm not sure if BoB enjoy this kind of warfare, I've never been on their side of the cap-blobs, but I doubt I'd find it enjoyable in the long run even if I were winning.
In the end I know people won't use lighter fleets than they are capable of fielding, just to even out the odds, I won't either. And don't get me wrong, I don't blame MC, BoB and company for doing it this way. I just wish the game mechanics didn't call for this kind of warfare, it'd make for a more enjoyable game.
As for the people who call us weak and say that we're buckling under the pressure, let me just say this: You show me an alliance that can face MC, BoB, FiX, ISS, AXE, D-L, Aftermath, Interdiction etc. singlehandedly and not come out a bit ruffled from the experience. Most alliances would collapse after a few days, it'll take more than that to destroy IAC.
Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and of course do not reflect the opinions of Killson Corp or IAC.

IAC was never even remotely close to being beaten, you should go read MC's press releases on the subject, seeing as how they were actually present and fighting their opinions are a bit more relevant than your flaccid trolling.
Quote:
Evil Thug, you watching this? It's like you weren't even there.
Correct, he wasn't there. Unless you mean the one time during Prohibition II that AAA logged a fleet off in JBY, or the teamspeak chat he had with Seleene and LV that demoralized them to the point where they all just gave up and went home.
Quote:

Were you even there ? IAC was the main group fighting MC's coalitions in both of those wars, seeing as how we were you know, the target, that you know, won both wars, AAA had a massive effect on enemy morale, but they weren't there fighting, and IAC would've survived and retaken all of our stations without their intervention.
If we're so worthless and weak, please explain why it took MC and about 14 other alliances to stop our Querious offensive ? Or was IAC completely irrelevant there too riding AAA's coattails in your little fantasy world ?
Looks like we're also relevant enough to drag BoB's focus away from Omist / Feythabolis, or is that just them running and trying to find a fight they can actually win ?

Before this degenerates into a numbers thread I would just like to point out that the battle in FAT is between the Alliance and the Coalition and involves multiple alliances on both sides.

Well, this isn't true. IAC did not have a hope in hell until AAA showed up and scared off the MC caps. You know it, and so does everyone else. Don't pretend otherwise.
There is a core of very good people in IAC, a minority if you will, but also so much chaff and farmers at the moment that this war will no doubt be good for your alliance. Hopefully it will emerge leaner, cleaner, and better for it.

More? Not really.
More away from the real hot spots? Probably.
The GOONs and friends thoughts on fighters will ultimately be shown correct since now that the tactic is being used to thwart their numbers, it will be those very same numbers using the same tactic that will make 0.0 nearly unplayable.
But I guess seeing it actually happen is what is required to sway the masses.

Actually after the first few weeks, -A- was the only thing keeping your "offensive" going. If destroying 4 or 5 deathstars over a period of 2 months against an alliance you and your allies collectively outnumber 4:1 is considered an offensive then props to you. The only trouble FIX has had since February in terms of Sov was -A-'s contest in ED. When it was just IAC attacking us in 49-u the field was very often very, VERY even. IAC may have held the field but they never had enough to kill towers on their own. Well those fights may be fun, you can hardly call it an IAC offensive if it took allied capital fleets to kill FIX towers.

For the record, Prohibition I involved KIA alongside the MC against IAC. From recollection, IAC did indeed bring it in a big way, but due to employer/employee relations breaking down (employer did a bunk) KIA and MC decided to withdraw from the field as we were no longer getting the 'cheddar'.
BoB&Co AND IAC&Co have some serious smacktards in their ranks that need culling, then everyone can get back to what is important, whacking the jebus out of each other in game. I am sooooo jealous of the frequent shenanigans that you guys are getting up to. I wish our targets were so willing to come and play.

Nothing for IAC to boast about tbh... there's only one of your members on both Dread killmails... and a whole two of you in the fleet battle report... You should be congratulating CVA and -A- rather than chest-beating on Eve-O trying to take the credit.

I'd rather IAC didn't post stuff like this on forums, they don't need to be informed, especially not by us since it comes across as chestbeating.
If you must inform the masses, do so properly in a battlereport with details, not just one line about hostile losing stuff..

We had a short engagement with Seleene and 3 other moms + assorted support at FAT station. I think MC won ISK-wise, a few BSes could not be saved by our 4 carriers, but it was a nice fun fight!
We were saddened to not being able to extend Seleene's stay, those officer smartbombs are very effective.
I actually hope they keep moms as-is. If we were able to scramble them easily, then they wouldn't be taken out and used.
Keep bringing it Allies, this is why I want to be on the front lines!

Ace remote rep work by the IAC carriers saved quite a few ships. Was a nice, extended engagement with both sides having to adapt and showing some smart tactics as things went on. If only we could disable the damn 'docking' service!!!
The two dreads - what can I say? We knew what was coming and those dreads should have never been there. Absolutely **** comms led to people jumping when they were not supposed to and the enemy smartly capitalized on the mistake. It happens and we paid for it tonight.
So ends another Emo-Wednesday.

Round 2 today. (updated) IAC POS comes out of reinforced.
So we were forming up for the pos defense op. As the gang formed -A- began shouting to warp in on them at the 8-10 pos for some dread shoosting. As I was still 10 jumps out I was only relaying intel. Our FC quickly warped our fleet in and soon CVA joined the fray, it quickly became apparant that 2 MC dreads for whatever reason were outside the pos and did not have support. Combined forces were able to take down Rutherford in a Moros first then focused PRO Gaz in his Pheonix. The fight concluded with minimal losses (Im not aware of any IAC losses) and 2 MC dreads destroyed.
Our forces regrouped seeing as this fight was about 20min before the pos came out. The POS came out and our forces began the tedious task of shield repping which went uneventfully.
I would give a more detailed report but RL being what it is I was unable to stay on for most of the evening. TT you were right I probably should have waited before posting about the kills.
Later fights were very exciting with what i heard was a great fight at the station. So far the action has been heated. Props to both sides thus far its been one hellofa rollercoaster ride. Again sorry for the premature post about the dread kills without a battle report.
Thundirr out.

Fact is guys you can beat BOB. I have Seen IAC in full rage and its awe inspiring. They know you can beat them. thats why they have every alliance they can sc*****together here and they only came once we had been exhausted.. Take a look at BOB numbers in every gang sometime. It's not much. BOB is actually dying as an alliance and they are using their allies numbers to cover it. Those that join them basically stop playing after a few weeks as being in BOB is actually not that much fun. Once that Carrier exploit goes (and it will, believe you me) their systems will start *****ing apart like eggs. As to when that will happen your guess is as good as mine. Will it happen in time to pull numbers out of here? I really don't know, up to you guys I guess.
I'm trying not to be harsh here and I'm sorry if I have offended people. Oh and the GMs will blow up guns on destroyed Poses if its your pos and you say you want to put up another one, so file a petition about it.
