Although described as a self-guided missile, in practice Dreadnought functioned much like an autonomous starship. It possessed shields, phasers, a complement of quantum torpedoes, a Thoron shock emitter, a plasma wave weapon, engines capable of reaching at least Warp 9, and a sophisticated computer AI"
Giant uber drones ftw! can't see the "sophisticated computer AI" happening in Eve though
What you suggest already exists but on a bigger skale. What we call doomsday devices.

Storyline-wise I see such a device as being a highly refined off-shoot of the standard warp drive, which effectively bends space and time already.
Sorry but warp in EVE is not related to star trek. It works on a different principal.

1. ôNova bombö from Andromeda. Super nova the sun into wiping out the solar system. Ok maybe not everything but nuke the enemy poses. No more pos ping pong.
2. ôHolo roomö from Star Trek. When your docked and bored. Activate the holo room and fly your ship inside a simulated world. No other players and stuff. Somewhere you can test your fittings at. Shoot bowies and get DPS results. This way you can actually test your fittings properly.
3. ôHyperdrive coresö from Homeworld 2. Very rare items located around eve universe witch if gathered, researched, build, hammered and tweaked with. Opens a new gate to an unknown system. Ofc you canÆt stay their. Spit back out after DT or something. But cool new stuff to explore in these systems and maybe some new items to be found. Ofc this should be so rare and hard to accomplish that only a very dedicated eve player can experience. Unlike stuff like the things we have now. Click mission. Boom boom salvage salvage warp, back to agent. New mission.

Indeed, I don't know if the old 'technology' articles are still on the site here somewhere but warp speed in EVE is achieved using anti-friction.

Well World - a planet-sized computer with the ability to restructure the universe. Would make the game rather dull, though, once all the asteroids, complexes, missions etc had been moved to a system of my choosing, and everyone else in the game had been wiped from existence.

Nay sir! You could perhaps create the very own nano-Titan with a top speed of 2.16au/s and a 99.9% reduction in fuel and cycle time of your Doomsday Device and conquer empire, lo-sec and 0.0 in 3 days and become Lord high moggin of New Eden.

With the Well World, you wouldn't have to wait 3 days - you could do it immediately. That's where the "dull"-ness comes in - omnipotence leads to boredom - see Q-continuum. I like "Lord high moggin" as a title though ... you may address me as such from hence forth ;-)
I thought of another item I'd like - the ticket from "Last Action Hero". If someone annoyed me in-game, I'd like the ability to "break the fourth wall" and reach out of their screen to give them a damned good wedgie!! If everyone had such a facility, imagine how fast bugs would be fixed with developers getting 30,000 wedgies every day a problem remained in the game! Of course, CCP recruitment might be a little tricky - difficult to know how you might convince people that this is a perk of the job.

It is fitted with superior engines and manoeuvring thrusters, compared to most Ork vessels, but these are not intended to make it handier in a fight. The true purpose of the Brute is betrayed by its armoured beak, festooned with rotary blades and drills, which is deadly when it rams enemy ships at maximum thrusts. In combat, Brutes manoeuvre to try to reach a position where they can charge an enemy ship and burst it apart with a single impact. The Brute is so heavily built that it can badly damage even a capital ship."

- Unexplored space - Unexplainable phenomena that could do anything from sending you halfway across the galaxy to just hardening your shields - Aliens, or at least some more life forms that are able to interact with humans
Then of course bender just because we have no other good purpose for all the alcohol in the game right now.

Ringworlds, and the ability to build them. Akin to a static hoopshaped Titan, with all the abilities and capabilities except inter-system movement: Permanently restricted to a fixed orbit around a systems sun BUT capable of anchoring POS.

May you live slightly longer than those you fight. |
