Add the Scimitar from ST Nemesis.
Secondary shields would be awesome (sounds like a T2 BS to me:-).
+ the primary weapon of it converted into a suicide/self destruction MEGA-DD (2-5 times of a titan damage).
Overall i would love to see transformations.
Ships docking to each other (2 BS + 1 Frigate as Bridge), or just a hell bunch of ships transforming into 1 big MS.
Macross-City would be also great a big MS which can transform and is a big Outpost at once.
Voltron is also nice a big battle-mech like ships built with a couple of Frigate-sized vessels:-)
Geeee seems i got a big heart for transformers lol.
Overall, however how much programming it would need, such transforming technics of ships would just make fun:-)
Beside all that, i would love to see trans-warp posssibilities for BS-fleeds, not needing Cygnos but still able to jump on their own for at least 5 Lightyears (surprise attacks ftw:-) )
oh and add a new ancient race which uses UFO¦s like in U.F.O lol:-) (and dont forget the thrilling sound of them!)

I would like to have an ejectible warp core. That when locked could be detonated like a smartbomb, kinda like bombs now, except it would be extremely potent. Ignore resists (since its warp energy and it effects your ship's engines thus disabling you) and would also disable the warp cabability of your own ship.
Would make some interesting battle tactics.

Some sort of time distortion device, freeze time and make your escape or simply go to work on the opponents craft the unfreeze to see the boom.

paratron shields - basically shields that open singularities to drain the incoming fire into. if the amount of incoming energy supersedes the amount that can be forced in the singularities the shield collapses.
transform cannons - a weapon that fires a nuclear warhead through hyperspace, thus passing through matter and shields that dont extend themselves through the dimension the warhead is travelling. paratron shields does extend themselves in that dimension and offer resistance against transform cannons.

1. Replace (missiles) or add photon torpedoes and Quantium (spelling?) Torpedoes (which probably can call QT as tech2) to Caldari Ships. Now those are the real "pew pew" sounds. From Star Trek series and link to torpedoes list.
2. ablative hull armor technology (and hull plating effects) for armor tanking ships. Link to armor technology. Reference from Star Trek Voyager. At least, have the plating effects shown on armor tanking ships!
4. Pulse phaser cannon for minmatar ships. Since they're projectile race. A weapon that has the chance of penetrating through shields to damage hull. (instead of armor) Seems like an good idea to add. :) Reference from Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
5. Cloaking field. Area of Effect cloaking device to hide units within the field range. Reference from Command And conquer Red Alert Gap Generator, StarCraft Protoss Arbitor.
I have several more ideas, but that's it for now.  Ya, I'm a star trek freak. I would love to fly the Defiant class ship in Eve. Makes a nice alternative to fly for a speedy ship. :)

I have to concur with evryone who said Iain M Banks Culture stuff. I want a plate class GSV (General Systems Vehickle, a ship that is at least the size of a EVE space sations, with the ability to create whole fleets of warships using total convcersion of matter and energy and has an intllect leagues ahad of all of humanity with enogh computing power to simulate whole universes) or a ROU (Rapid Offense Unit, a planetkilling, fleet annihilating ship that can cross the universe in weeks, cut up planets into clouds of single atoms using subspace energy and has an intellect no less big then the GSVs).
