Note: This belongs in OOP.
I would argue against anything that involves Michael Crichton in sci-fi. But the rest of your list is excellent.
I would add, and am amazingly surprised that it lacks:
Hamilton's Night's Dawn and later works. Plus Reynold's Revelation Space.
Then there's Simmons' Ilium and Olympos.
I also don't know what you mean by Heinlein's Robot Series.
I used to get It. Then It changed. Now I don't even know what It is.

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. Friggin mind-blowingly great writing throughout its very necessary and justifiable meandering of settings and characters. You'll probably say out loud "NO ******* WAY" as the events in the last chapter unfold.
p.s. lol@filter on Philip K. ****.

Vernor Vinge: A Fire Upon the Deep --//-- : A Deepness in the Sky
both are quite a lot better than The Peace War and Marooned in Realtime (which two is what you are referring to with your nro 9)
Definetly don't miss the previously mentioned books by Ian M Banks and Ender's. Hyperion series might be a bit too Deus ex Machina with the ending though..
Frederik Pohl: Gateway (you might want to check out the whole of Heechee series though), The Space Merchants and The Merchants' War, Plusman
Robert Heinlein: Starship Troopers (if you can handle his pretty fascist views, you might want to check out some other of his works)
Norman Spinrad: Deus Ex
Harry Harrison: Stainless Steel Rat series - humoristic, better than the Bill series of his, IMHO.
Arkady & Boris Strugatski: Stalker, Escape Attempt, The Kid from Hell and Definetly Maybe, Hard to Be God
Walter M. Miller Jr: A Canticle for Leibowitz
