Kieron, This is the only thing you needed to add to your post. Otherwise people would have spent all Thursday wondering where the heck the patch notes were and getting upset. (or at least mildly annoyed)

If you guys paid any attention to the 4th Alliance Tournament broadcasts, you would know that the Trinity expansion with the new ships is coming November 28th... thus said Oveur, slightly inebriated.
Of course, as always, assume that this is a "planned" date.

Originally by: Miang Hawwa What do you mean by "factional warfare"? New races/factions? Is the Jove Empire involved?
You said that Trinity v2 would come out on November. Should we expect delays then?
Trinity v2 is the new engine in Trinity, which is coming out in either November or December.
No one has claimed that it will not be released in November (and thus delayed a month), but it's obviously 50/50 at this point.
Patch (Trinity) coming out this year will have all the new ships, drone changes, and everything else. Not the carrier nerf tho, enough people complained about something that really needed to be changed anyway
I don't understand why everyone was so confused, this has all been said before.

Updates & patches, all quite exicting.
But I wonder how you are getting on with the possible 'Walking on Stations' update ?
Is the new graphics engine being designed for this purpose or was it a genral upgrade that was planned alongtime ago.
Just thinking if walking on stations did eventually get to fighting on stations for parts of missions and for team work, this would make very good development for the game and possibly boost the ammount of new players joining EVE. (Note: Not interested in PvP Combat ATM).
Keep up the good work CCP EVE rules.

Why are people getting upset over the name differences?
You've got Trinity 2.0, which is the graphics engine with the new DX9 improvements and new models and stuff like that. The expansion coming out soon has been renamed from "Kali 3" or "Rev III" to Trinity. The next expansion after Trinity will probably be named something other than Trinity II and will have stuff like factional warfare and T2 Titans.

They're just using BITS for the extra graphic content, which won't happen on Linux due to lack of support on Cedega's part. So... no BITS necessary! --- Proud Amarr pilot.

Revelations 3 has the codename Kali 3 but is now called Trinity. Trinity v2 is the graphics engine. Factional warfare is coming in Kali 4, which could be called Revelations 3, which currently has the codename Kali 3 but is now called Trinity.
CCP, whoever comes up with your naming system needs to lay off the drugs.
And none of these are coming in the Revelations 2.3 patch, correct?
Actually the Trinity III expansion that is so shiny is expected to be deployed as Kali 3 indeed.
Nevertheless this patch, in order not to be confused with the graphics engine upgrade, has been renamed to Trinity II - the factional warfare patch.
And the long awaited Revelation 3 will be deployed under the name Trinity v2 and that will bring along the carrier nerf.
And to make things crystal clear, Eve: Trinity has been renamed to Revelations patch 2.3 whose notes are due soon.
having said that I think all other dev posts that seemed contradictory are reconciled now.

This update, Revelations 2.3, contains formal support for Mac OS X and Linux. It also includes a few fixes for all platforms. Stay tuned for the release notes.
The next expansion, EVE Online: Revelations III (codename "Kali 3"), was renamed to EVE Online: Trinity because we had to postpone factional warfare due to lack of time and resources.
So Trinity is Revelations III, not including factional warfare, but with drone improvements, heat improvements, EVE Voice improvements, tons of bug fixes, a new graphics engine and new art content.
Please note that Trinity (the expansion) contains Trinity v2 (the graphics engine; v2 not II). This renaming was never going to cause any problems...
(It's not been decided what the expansion containing factional warfare will be called. The codename is currently "Kali 4", it might be called Revelations III, Revelations IV or something completely different.)
"but with drone improvements" see now you be pressing buttons now.
Do you people even take any notice of the forums and the multiple threads relating to the drone NERFS not improvements.
Just because this kind of behaviour works for most governments doesn't mean ccp should indulge in the "growing mushrooms" analogy.
You screw amarr recons, in the process of screwing gallente...lock stock and barrel Dictors are in the process of getting screwed etc etc the list does really go on and on.
Are you really so sick of people paying your wages thru monthly subscription, that you feel justified in ****ing them off so much as to the extent of leaving the game ?

I must've missed a whole lot of bloc's while I was gone... 'cause I was sure Factional Warfare was coming at least soonish. Not somewhere mid-2008 due to Quote: lack of time and resources
I've been waiting for this a long long time, been promised again and again. And it's still not there. There's only a lack of time and resources because apparently it isn't a priority for you guys.
Well, guess it's back into cryo again when sub's up.

DEAD important question IMO. Will you support OS X 10.5 Leopard? That is sort of key tbh since over 2 million copies where sold in the first weekend you can sort of expect a high uptake in the EVE community of those who run OS X.
EDIT: Universal Code or not there are still hickups.

We haven't nerfed drones, at least not that I'm aware of. Yes, there were changes to carriers, which I assume is what you're referring to, and those forum threads were read and taken seriously.
What I was referring to was the drone UI improvements we made, the new commands, settings and shortcuts, increasing the scoop range and all the bugs in drone behaviour we fixed.

No, the changes mentioned in the exploration Dev Blog will be part of the Trinity release. Tuesday's patch is primarily focused on the additional OS support and resolving some minor issues.
Is Channace a minor issue? or is it Chamnace thats the minor issue...
I should have got a screen shot of it, system name in the upper corner said Chamnace, all the stations and other objects have Channace... --------*****-------- It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Hes referring to the nerf, not the change. The drone frequency or whatever its called so that a frig cant control 5 large drones (although, its really fun to do level 1 missions that way.)
On a side note, all is a bad word in programing. just about all, or most are much better since there is always a possibility that the fix of something rebroke something that was thought to be fixed before.
Can you put something in for an april 1st patch to have the size of all the asteroids in space inverted? Having arkonor the size of veld would be perfect.
Come on, you know you want to release that fabled 'big ore' patch... i know its out there... ive heard rumors about it.

where does that say they fixed all drone bugs?
all it says is that he is talking about all the drone bugs they fixed. as in the entirety of the subset of drone bugs that are the ones that they have fixed.
