Im in the process of petitoning CCP for the loss of my Machariel with faction fittings ( my mission ship) so far to no avail. Ive had my 1st petition denied. But i will prevail.
I was on mission and under attack from all and sundry, when it was time to warp out. All web frigs were dealt with, just a couple of cruisers and about 4 BS left. It was just a case of warping out, repairing and warping back, simple, done it a 1000 times.
But on this occasion, warp drive was activated but nothing happened, i was stuck and got popped. I wasnt to worried because it was obviously server error, i would get back my loss......wrong.
CCP had no record of an error at that time ( heard that before?) and were very sorry for my loss...hmmm. I want to hear from anyone else who has had the same experience, i will not let this lie

That is the only reply you ever seem to get any more. I lost almost a full set of Halo implants when lag hit me in the extreme. I didn't even get to see my ship blow up before i was back in station. Or rather, floating around in space, no ship, no pod, no station, no asteroid belt (You get the idea). This is extremely annoying and could i say.....What exactly do the CCP servers show?

Lemme guess, you have your sound off and the "You can not warp because you are warp scrambled" message got lost in the damage logs?
Seriously, i don't think this is CCP's mistake, and they can't check if it went the way you said. Petitions are for when the server crashes, or you lose items due to bugs etc.
I shall quote the reimbursement policy

And since there aren't a hundred other threads on this forum about not being able to warp when you aren't warp scrambled, i'm guessing everything works fine. Which brings us to lag.

You won't get it back, I have lost many ships to this and never got one back: even when hundreds of other experienced lag too. You can try escalating this to a senior GM - they might give it back to you; I highly doubt it though.

The thing is, if there's some lag, disconnects etc, why do people always assume it's CCPs fault?
Noone else has glitches in THEIR ISP service? No computer hickups? Ever? Never happen?
If the CCP servers say, no problem, then no problem?

Well, we all know that TQ has its days every now and then that everything just goes wrong. And if you file a reimbursement then, i'm sure you will get it back. But just on a random time when no-one else has a problem? I doubt you will get it back...

Someone needs to accept responsibility, it cannot go on like this. We get nice new shiny ships, but basics play is not taken care of. Suck you in, get your money and **** you......hmmm, i dont think so. Would you complain if the plumber did not do his work properly...YES, you would.

No, no one needs to accept responsibility. If the GMs can't detect the error how do they know you just didn't align in time to warp out due to your own forgetfulness?
The reimbursement policy has already been quoted above, CCP does not owe you anything.

yeah i know how u feel, only petition'd for loss once in 2 years. My pod warped off teh gate, only to land where it left from. But CCPs logs show nothing (what are they loggin, my combat logs were very clear.
Waiting on the outcome from the excalted petition: Its not so much thats its going to be tough to replace - but with the state of teh nerf bat, and the fact that its easy to loose any ammout of ISK to an "unlogged bug", I am just not seing the point in recovering. Every innovative development, wether its allaince P or the FOTM is "balanced" - so much for the sandbox......

Some people do, but you NEVER hear about "CCP reimbursed my ship due to a lag thingy!". The good bells never chime, so to speak.
But when things go belly up, i usually first check my computer connection, then check any other possible problem, and MAYBE then look at TQ and go...Hmm, darn.

Exactly my point.....we just accept wat CCP say...its not good enough..too many flaws. I would rather have committed server to Marauders and Black Ops...Do you want CCP to be Tescos or Wallmart?

No actually, you are paying for the privilidge of accessing CCP's server. There is no product, there is no ownership on your part. If you are not satisfied with your service, you may leave.

What does that even mean? Are you suggesting that 3D modelers be tasked with server maintenance? Or that you we should shard the server? I'm also not familiar with Tesco.

I'm sorry but do you have access to CCP's logs? I didn't think so. Their logs only show if there is a server hiccup, node death or whatever. Lag isn't a server problem. Lag is your connection's problem, not theirs. Deal with it....just because something bad happened doesn't mean you deserve something in return.

I've had a similar problem myself in lvl4. All frigs gone, just a few BS left, but getting down to half armor, 50% cap. So, knowing that the Myrm doesn't align that quick, I've gotten the drones in already and click warp.
90 seconds later (seriously  I was clock watching after it got to 20 seconds) and I'm still there, at full speed, aligned, running out of cap fast by now. Hull's getting eaten with each volley now so I'm watching a direct reppers vs incoming DPS with my ship on the losing side.
The speedo just said 'WARPING' and yet there I was getting devoured and most definitely NOT in warp. Finally warped out at 40% hull.
