I know, I've been saying that since I first fit a HAM Drake. But even if it their pg reqs were reduced, that doesn't automatically mean the Nighthawk's powergrid won't need adjusting.

Things Nighthawk wants / needs:
More Grid, The Drake has far more and still has real issues fitting a link. The Nighthawk should have the grid for this as it's a command ship.
More CPU, not much but a little would be good.
6th Mid Slot, would be nice but the tech2 res bonuses make up for it.
7th launcher, would be nice but I'd still want a link on there so I'd want an 8th high. I know that's a big ask though.
If I could change one thing it'd be give it about 200 more grid

No, I won't. The 5 lowslots are only good atm because it allows the NH to fit a much needed RCU/PDS easily. Otherwise 7/6/4 is plain better for PVP purposes.
But not for PvE purposes! If you want to do PvP find a different command ship. All the others are good at PvP and okay for PvE. You leave the one dedicated PvE ship alone. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Now your just trolling or else incredibly ignorant. I can run any L4 mission within 10% of the speed of our alliance CNR pilots. It's been a frequently debated and tested subject ever since I got one. Our conclusion is that it's not quite as fast (like it takes 1 hour 5 minutes to complete AE4+Bonus room solo) but it's a far more relaxing experience.
I have a damage output of 307dps with a 74km range. I can tank over 140dps. Specialised tanks have 92% primary resist, 85%+ secondary resist. Omni tank is 81/81/82/85
As I said in my post:The NH is a lazy man's CNR. You lose a little bit of mission running time (from our experience around 10% typically) but you gain by never having to watch your shields or cap if you use a passive tank. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

The nighthawk doesn't need a boost, it an incredible tank with pretty good dps.

Who cares about the tank when you don't have the PG to fit a gang mod in a sensible pvp fit? That "uber" tank is just a waste of slots until you actually get shot at.

Would you trade a NH tank for an Astarte's, and watch it crumple under the ever popular heavy neutrelizors like it was a plated thorax

"If you want to do PvE, find another ship. Many BS like the Raven and CNR are very good at PvE. You let me do some decent PvP in my NH thanks."
:/
The NH should be ok both for PvE and PvP. Being uber at PvE and subpar at PvP doesn't make it balanced.

You realize that if the Nighthawk did get a boost it would be Eos'd into oblivion a year down the line when the next generation of Caldari pilots just got to it, right? ;)

Actually, probably not. You see, there's one minor difference - nothing, really. It's just the fact that the nighthawk is a FIELD command ship, not a FLEET command ship. The field commands are basically bigger HACs that just so happen to be able to fit gang mods, whereas the fleet commands are meant to be used primarily as gang support and be crap at combat.
P.S. please give my nighthawk the grid and CPU to fit a gang mod with its HAM setup so I actually have reason to train to use said mods. -Wrayeth n00b Extraordinaire
